Please describe your method for watching your Canon .mov's on TV, thank you
By sheer luck, I happen to have a samsung blu-ray player w/a 2.0 USB that will let me play Canon HD .mov's on my HD TV, once I load the files onto the a flash drive. Otherwise, I don't know how I would do it.

Thanks for the reply, however, I was hoping to hear from actual camera owners as to how they view/store their .mov's.
After realizing I could now view these .mov's with a flash drive through my blu-ray, I realized I now had a storage/back-up issue. So I bought an external blu-ray burner. Unfortunately, the software that came with it does not support .mov file imports.
I find this .mov format difficult to manage, as seemingly very few software packages out there for it. To retain the HD of the original video, it appears what I will to do is now buy Apple QuickTime Pro to convert it to a format recognized by the CyberLink Media 10 Suite software that came w/the BD burner and then burn it to BD. That way I will have an actual backup of the photo/video, instead of just saved to my hard drive... plus I won't have load and re-load video onto a thumb drive each time I want to view home movies on my TV. The suggestion of playing the video's directly from the camera, while technically correct, is impractical.
I really hope the above approach works, b/c I am getting tired of chasing this down. Been a long road, with seemingly little info readily available. Wish I had known all this beforehand.

and I have the recovery.cfg file from NI with this steps :
1. Copy the recovery.cfg file, found in the zip folder attached at the bottom of the email, to the thumb drive.
2. With the cRIO device powered off, plug in the USB drive to the controller.
3. Hold down the reset button while powering on the controller. Continue holding the reset button until the status light turns on, then release the reset button.
4. Wait for the controller to boot. This should take less than a minute.
5. Check that the password has been reset to the default. (you will still be prompted for a password even if the default is blank)
6. Reinstall software to the controller. Using the USB reset will leave the system in a state where it is unable to run LVRT
I have followed the procedure as mentioned
Result: the LED "Status" is permanently blinking.
Would you please provide as with another alternative so that we can fix this issue. -

If you don't have access to your rescue email account, or you don't have one on your iTunes account, then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

My Time Capsule is giving me a warning that double NAT situation is occurring and recommends that I set it to bridge mode What is all this about please can it be explained in layman's terms and not martian thank you.
You have two devices....the Netgear and Time Capsule both configured to act as routers on the network. You only want one device providing this service.
I suggest that you configure the Time Capsule in Bridge Mode as suggested to eliminate the Double NAT error. Unfortunately, the Guest Network cannot be enabled in this setting.
No other adjustments are needed and everything else will operate normally...and the Time Capsule will still be providing your wireless network signal.
Once the Time Capsule is configured in Bridge Mode, it would be an excellent idea to perform a complete power cycle on the network to allow things to reset properly.
Just power off all devices on the network in any order that you want
Wait a minute
Start the Netgear device first, and let it run a minute by itself
Start the Time Capsule next the same way
Continue starting devices one at a time the same way until everything is powered backup
The other option you have is to "ignore" the error and the light will turn green. The Double NAT error may...or may not cause some issues for you down the line. The next time that you update the Mac operating system, or update the firmware in the Time Capsule, it may likely change the Time Capsule to Bridge Mode automatically.
If your Guest Network "disappears", you will know why this happened, and you will have to manually configure the Time Capsule again in Router Mode to provide DHCP and NAT services.
Double NAT can also cause a slow down of web page loading. You may...or may not....notice this. -

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset (we are fellow users here on these forums).

I am new to the community and need advice as soon as possible . I have been using the iMac hard drive , but need a external hard drive to put on the Mac Pro and dont know what kind to get . Could someone please let me know the best for the Mac Pro ? I was told to get the 500 MB external back up , but when searching for it on the internet I saw different ones that had other things with the 500 MB . Some had 300 or 200 something else along with them and I dont know which to purchase .
I will appreciate more than you know if you could help me with this , as the Pro is needing backed up now.
Thank you ,I appreciate all the great advice here , but all this is overwhelming to me , as you all are so intelligent with these things and this causes me to feel more dumb about a Mac than I was already .
I paid for a One on One to learn these things , but I have a Immune Disorder and wasn't able to attend one class , so its not that I didn't try , I am just not able to travel . I don't like asking others for help , but at this point I don't have a choice.
I called Apple store and was told to get a External Back-up for the Macbook Pro to back up the info. on the device in the event it crashed . And another reason was "they " said to get this was I have a 2 TB backup on the iMac desktop and that using it to back up things on the Macbook would take up all the space of the backup on the desktop . I hope I am saying these things right for others to understand me as I said I don't know much about these things , at all really . I am wondering if I should have ever bought these products as it seems they are much harder to learn than I thought . I do admire all the brains you all have here and wish I knew just a little of what you all know.
Someone ask the kind of Macbook Pro I have , it was bought in August of 2011 , but sat all those times , was only updated when needed to be , as I was trying to learn on the desktop Mac and with this illness I live in bed more than up , so I couldn't learn on both devices . I should also say at this time I paid for an extra 3 yrs. to have the opportunity to call in for advice , but was only given 15 min. of talk time , and I can't complain as the Techs were very supportive , but the problem was and is I can't be out of bed long enough to learn things I need to with only getting to call Techs , maybe every 3 or so months and sometimes I didn't call for 5 or so months , now that has expired and I don't have a choice but to ask for help .
I know some might wonder why I went to the trouble to have these devices with being sick , but I would like to live some with what time I have left in life . I am not searching for pity here , just wanting to clarify what has happened and why I am having to bother others . With this out of the way now I can get onto the other things here.
I am afraid I might have messed up the backup on the Macbook Pro was trying to make a back up and clicked on something saying do not use this , meaning the device from the desktop again . I had connected the backup device from the desktop , trying to make a backup of things on the Macbook Pro and also cant get the Time Machine turned back on , once I turned it off .
I am sorry I have taken so much time to try and explain this to you all , but I am not computer savvy as you are and have had a hard time explaining all this .
I noticed also someone said this isn't the right forum for this , and would like for someone to point me to the right one if you don't mind.

This and it said there was an error and my computer did not support it...I have a Window 8 laptop.
For Adobe DC - if I download this again I would like to know all the programs or whatever that I need for all of its functions to work. All i want to do is save a file, that seems ridiculous that they would not include it in the application when it is so integral to its function.
