  • How to find my initial Key Store Password?

I have an older Curve, and recently changed my gmail password.  For the first time I can remember, the phone needs me to enter the Key Store password.  (T-Mobile has a security certificate with some issue, and I need to tell the phone, "Trust Certificate".)
I don't think I've ever dealt with Key Store password before.  My PIN doesn't work.  I have never enabled the phone's Password, never set the password.
Searches here in support plus reading the User's manual for this model 8320 tells me lots of info about the Key Store - including, I might have to reset the phone (and lose lots of data) - however no where have I determined, how was this password initially set?  When I reset the phone, how do I even find out what the new password is?  Is this something RIM sets, or T-Mobile sets, or do I set it?  (Yes I see that I can change it - but only if I know what the existing password is.)
    Thanks for any help!  tstockma

    Hi tstockma ,
In order to change your keystore password without entering the current password, you will need to backup your data and perform a security wipe. The following KB article provides the steps to perform the security wipe and also to create a new keystore password. "How to reset the keystore password on a BlackBerry smartphone" http://bbry.lv/Nr8fyB
Please make sure to backup your data before performing these steps. The following KB articles provide the steps to backup.

"Back up and restore BlackBerry smartphone data on a Mac computer using BlackBerry Desktop Software" http://bbry.lv/L9UqAk
    Hope this helps.

  • Anyone besides me get an annoying popup that cannot be deleted/closed reading:  FaceTime Password Please enter your password for "my e-mail account name" Never used FaceTime.

    Dear Community,
Anyone besides me get an annoying popup that cannot be deleted/closed reading:
    FaceTime Password
Please enter your password for "my e-mail account name"
It happened to me today for the first time since upgrading to Mavericks 10.9.3, no "stop lights" in the title bar of the popup, in fact nothing at all.
I've never established a FaceTime account. So I tried to delete FaceTime from the Applications folder on the "system" disk thinking this may eliminate the popup. Mavericks informed me "Cannot delete FaceTime as it is used by the operating system.
Is this a MAC virus? Or is this an example user community alpha/beta testing that Apple just announced?
    TIA,
    GonzoBernelli

That being the case, why then did the FaceTime popup even appear in the first place?
It's not clear to me what it is. If it occurs again, please take a screenshot of the popup and post it in a reply.
To take a screenshot hold ⌘ Shift 4 to create a selection crosshair. Click and hold while you drag the crosshair over the area you wish to capture and then release the mouse button. You will hear a "camera shutter" sound. This will deposit a screenshot on your Desktop.
If you can't find it on your Desktop look in your Documents or Downloads folder.
When you post your response, click the "camera" icon above the text field:
This will display a dialog box which enables you to choose the screenshot file (remember it's on your Desktop) and click the Insert Image button.
The screenshot attachment option for this support site appears only on computers - not on iPads.
⌘ Shift 4 and then pressing the space bar captures the frontmost window.
⌘ Shift 3 captures the entire screen.
Drag the screenshot to the Trash after you post your reply.

  • Please enter your keychain password :(

After my computer starts up an alert that says "Please enter your keychain password" pops up. I've tried entering my .Mac password and I get "Sorry, you entered an invalid password".
I click OK and try other passwords and i even try leaving it blank and clicking OK - No Luck.
I click on Dtails at the bottom and see
    Keychain: login.keychain
    Application MirrorAgent
MirrorAgen seems to tell me it's related to my .Mac account.
Any ideas of what i should enter or how I could reset this annoying thing:(

It's a bug that was introduced with the 10.4.5 update.
For some reason the update treated you as if you were using your Mac for the first time and starts up a new Keychain for you. There then appears to be a conflict between the new Keychain and the existing one. The only way I found to fix the problem was a clean install.
Other than that, after every restart I had to go into the keychain and delete the new Login Kaychain that was being generated. Lucky enough my fist keychain wasn't the default name Login so it was easy to work out which one to delete. Unfortunately after a restart the rouge Keychain was back.
The only other option I can think of is doing an Archive Install but ticking off the option of retaining user and Network settings and then using the 10.4.6 Combo update.

  • ERROR: "You did not complete the entire form.  Please enter your country."

When I tried to download a song tonight, I got a message that said that my billing info had changed and that I needed to verify it before I could purchase any music. On the "Edit Payment Information" page, I put in all of my info (my address was missing), and hit done. I get the error: "You did not complete the entire form. Please enter your country." Well, the country field is not editable, and but it says "United States," which is the right country. I can't get passed it, so I can't download anything. I'm running the latest version of iTunes... but I haven't purchased anything since.
The other thing that concerns me is that I didn't change any billing info, so this is a bit strange. Does anyone have any ideas of what's going on? Thanks!!

Just in case this ever happens to anyone else, here is how to fix the problem (THANKS, ITUNES SUPPORT)!!
    1) Sign out of the iTunes Store by choosing Sign Out from the Store menu in iTunes.
    2) Visit Apple's My Info website:
    http://myinfo.apple.com
    3) Choose your country and preferred language. Then enter your iTunes Store account name and password and click Continue.
    4) Choose Address Book from the menu on the left. On the Edit Address Book page, look at your shipping addresses at the bottom. If you have multiple shipping addresses, remove any out-of-date or duplicate addresses by clicking Delete. Also, make sure the state or province field is filled out correctly for each address. To edit an address, click Edit.
    5) Now choose Phone Numbers from the menu on the left to look at your phone numbers. The area codes should be in the area code fields and the phone numbers should be in the phone number fields. If an area code is missing, or if it is in a phone number field, your account information may not save properly.
    6) Make any other necessary corrections, then click the Save Changes button.
    7) Click Log out in the upper-right corner.
When you make your next iTunes Store purchase, you will be asked to review your billing information. At that point, you can change your information or simply click Done. After that, you should be able to purchase items.

Try from a computer.   You may have to reset your password.  If you can't get the comfirmation email then you can use the secret question.  Once you can log in then you change the the email address.

I'm trying to connect my iMac and my WIndows tablet (got it for free) together through my home network.  I open iPhoto, then "Import to Library" ; the connection fails and when I click on "Connect as" up pops this box asking me to "enter your name and password for the server -computer name here-". HELP!!  Where do I find the password?  I've tried everything possible and no go.
I am running Windows 8 and Lion.

  • "Enter your name and password to update the RSS feed"

I keep getting a pop-up from Safari (even when it's in the background) that says:
+*Enter your name and password to update the RSS feed*+
How on earth do I disable this? It is asking for a username and password for Twitter so I must have clicked an RSS feed link there, but after searching like mad, I can't figure out where Safari looks for RSS at on my system.

    Same here,
    It says:
<<Enter your name and password to update the RSS feed.
To update teh RSS feed "Gmail - Inbox for [email protected]", you need to log in to the area "New mail feed" on mail.google.com. Your password will be sent in clear text.
    Name: (blank field)
    Password: (blank field)
O Remember this password in my keychain. >>
This started occurring immediately after updating to safari 4.
I tried disabling the automatic RSS updates in safari preferences, set it to "never" as suggested, but the annoying window keeps on popping up.
So the original question is still not answered for me.
It seems to me that all people reporting this problem are OSX Tiger (10.4.11) users

  • Cant purchase from Itunes - please enter your country????

So I have been able to download the free stuff from Itunes in the past. My CC expired, but in the new one and filled in the address again. The country is in bold and has US.
Get the errro message "you did not complete this form. please enter your country"
There is no drop down to change and the US is already chosen on the front page of iTMS.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

  • Please enter your original serial number, or insert your logic XSkey

I just re-installed Logic Pro on my new Mac, but upon launching, it asks me for serial #.  Apparently, I'm using the "upgrade" serial, so after I put in the number, it says "Please enter your original serial number, or insert your logic XSkey".  I've searched my big Logic 8 box, but all I have are manuals and disks, with no serial #.  I can't find the old dongle either, since I've been using without it on my previous computer.  How do I get past this?

Thanks for that post Bee Jay,
Just tried doing this, didn't work, after closing logic and re-opening without the XSKey it brings up the same 2 boxes, first to insert my upgrade serial and then the original serial. I really hope there is going to be an upgrade to fix this problem as otherwise it looks like ill be stuck with XSKey after all.

I am using Skype for Mac, version 7.2 (412).  I received the notice that if I don't use my credit, I will lose it.  So, I tried to do what I always do, which is to call my mobile.  When I do, I here the message shown in the subject above.  Thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

I did a quick check of the permissions and .Trash is assigned to the root and not the user.
Can still delete files dropping them on the trash can, but they totally disappear and cannot be seen to be eptied later or restored as required.
Any ideas how to sort this or what the problem/cause is? On Mac OS X 10.7.2
