Please explain why battery charging via "trickling" is good for battery?
Just curious as to the science behind why trickle charging the last 20% is beneficial to the battery.
No complaint whatsoever, just curious how this works.

A Director is a server running Lync Server 2013 that authenticates user requests, but does not home any user accounts. Lync 2013 Front End servers have the same registrar service and functionality
as the Director.
The Director isn't providing any special functionality. If the Director goes down, all pools would become inaccessible when the clients queried DNS for the SRV record until an administrator
makes a manual internal DNS change that points users to a Front End pool to handle the sign-in request from Lync clients. Microsoft has made the Director functionality relevant for organizations that have specific security requirements, such as allowing all
external users to register to a specific internal server instead of the Front End servers. This server role is merely optional and not needed for most Lync Server 2013 deployments.

Within music Library can anyone please explain why after I select the option to sort 'Album by Artist' a number of tracks are being treated as separate albums? How can I fix this? I have tried to manually correct by 'drag and drop' individual tracks but that doesn't work. My music library includes a number of repeat album artwork images simply because not all tracks are being listed under the one album making my library more difficult to use than it should. Any advise would be appreciated.

Just saw your thread, and it looked like a candidate for the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce Roll Back the Driver issue. If your computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card, then the following applies to you. You do not want to update the driver. Rather you want to roll back the driver version, probably to about May 2013. For your convenience I have done a copy/paste of the forum announcement which gives all the details and fix of the matter.

If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.

Please explain why I have not received my $200 iPhone 6 Trade In Promo Gift card. I sent it to Trade In Center in packaging sent to me by Verizon on November 26, 2014. I have called the Trade In Support team 877-835-2024 to check status and receive a different response each time I call. 1)it was received and it takes weeks/months to perform analysis on the device 2) you sent it to the wrong address 3) just wait 4) i will 'expedite' your issue. I've asked to speak with supervisors and the CSR will not let me speak with anyone confirming 'you will just be told the same thing I am telling you'. Well - nothing ever comes of it. Please assist. I have been a Verizon customer for years and am frustrated with the lack of customer care. Like many others I am ready to switch carriers.
I wanted to add my voice to the growing chorus of people complaining about VZW's trade in program. i received the exact same excuse for denying the full value of my perfectly good and DEACTIVATED iphone 4s.
i DID manage to get through to the trade in team, and after explaining the situation, i was told that my problem could be escalated the the tech team. the anonymous trade-in woman transfers me to the normal VZW cust support line... huh?
i wait again and finally get through. unlike the trade-in woman, the cust support rep immediately identifies himself. willie was as helpful as he was allowed to be, but sadly, that wasn't very much. the trade in people and VZW hold all of the cards.
THEY say that the de-activation lock wasn't turned off, i say it was.
there is no way to prove either assertion.
there is no appeal.
they just deny, deny, deny, as evidenced by all of the other complaints posted here and elsewhere.
willie WAS able however, to get me an additional credit for my 'inconvenience'.
while i genuinely appreciate his effort on my behalf, it doesn't absolve the company from the way they handle the trade-in program, whether it's farmed out to a 3rd party or not.
i will be filing complaints with the PSC, BBB, and NYS Att'y General. -

There are no options currently on the USA Apple online store site to pre-order unlocked iPhone 5's. The iPhone 5's currently available for pre-order are only availble by selecting a carrier and agreeing to a 2year contract. The prices listed are all contract-subsidized prices. -

Sales are restricted by country presumably because of licensing restrictions. In most cases those will be imposed by the distributors of the items. If a company has not worked out the license to sell a song in your country, or has simply decided not to bother, or in rare cases is prohibited by the government of a country, then Apple cannot sell it to you.

EMET 5.1 is crashing/not opening these applications on two of our staff workstations (Both are Windows 7 x86): Outlook.exe, Photoshop.exe and Communicator.exe.
One computer, EMET crashes Communicator and Outlook. The other Computer, the EMET crashes Photoshop only.
Obviously, it works for everybody else. Can someone please explain to me why would EMET crash these apps if it works for the rest? Could it be that it found a possible threat/exploit to the machine?
How do I mitigate this problem?

Are they going to merge Studio/NitroX into workshop 9.2.x ??
Would I be wrong in thinking that Workshop 9.2 (with it's NETUI) is just waiting to die, and that eventually studio will become the core IDE product?

KNot to start a flame war, but it makes sense to me.
Studio is built on Eclipse, Workshop 9.2 is built on Eclipse. NitroX was
part of an acquisition and like many acquisitions I'm sure it will take
time to integrate it fully into the BEA product suite. Hopefully in the
future both Studio and Workshop 9.2 will work together nicely.
I don't see why one would survive and the other wouldn't. Thats what I'm
hoping for, but until one of us has info into the exec's future
strategy, we can only guess what is in store.
I don't see a huge difference between Studio and Workshop, only tooling
differences available in both. I use Studio for my webapp development
(love AppXray) and Workshop for all my other development.

Can someone from Adobe please explain why measurements in CS6 are not accurate..PLEASE?
I'm tired of wasting my time looking for reasons why measurements I key in are constantly changed to some arbitary number decided by Illustrator. I'm currently working on a 100mm x 100mm box with a corresponding grid and yet for some reason my measurements get changed to 100.238mm or 99.834mm or similar... I just wasted another 10 minutes trying to work out how to ask someone this question...am I the only one experiencing this...NO! Any answers Adobe, please?
The above answers are absolutely correct, because it was obvious @Brayhill had Pixel-Snap turned on.
Specifically for print work, where keying in values may sometimes not show correctly* in the Control Bar at the top, there is another little hidden setting in Preferences -> General -> Use Preview Bounds.
If you are doing millimeter perfect templates for example, and want the total to show for example 100 x 100mm, regardless of the stroke weight asigned, just uncheck the Preview Bounds box in Preferences.
*Checked will always add your stroke width (as well as some other effects) to the total shown in the Control Bar. This can also be very useful at times, say when you need to fit an entire group with strokes and effects within 100x100mm, like an advertisement. -

Assuming the file is stored on a network server, and the "other computer" is on that network as well; with InDesign not running on either, navigate to the folder where the InDesign file is stored and find the lock file (it will have the extension .idlk). Delete it.
