Please Fix Credit Auth. in App Store -- PLEASE

This inability to upgrade apps on my iPhone 4 from my iPhone 3 is just stupid! Sometimes I can enter a different credit card (PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR POOR PROGRAMMING TO MY ACCOUNTANT) and other times I can not.
I have entered two different credit card numbers and their codes and dates so many times that I now give up. The crooks have won, the honest Apple customers have lost, and my apps want to be upgraded.
Just make it simple.
Otherwise, let's tell prospective buyers to hold off on their upgrades until some junior programmer gets their poop together!!!

You've logged into your account and viewed your purchase history and there aren't any error messages shown (e.g. 'problem with a previous purchase'), and you haven't got any purchases due (e.g. pre-orders and/or subscriptions) : Why can’t I select None when I edit my Apple ID payment information ?

  • How can I fix a VERY slow App Store on My iMac 10.9.3 ?

How can I fix a VERY slow App Store on My iMac 10.9.3 ?

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them; in that case, there's no need to repeat the answers.
Restart your router and your broadband device, if they're separate. Any change?
If possible, connect to your router with an Ethernet cable and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?
Are any other devices on the network, and if so, are they the same?
If you can connect to more than one network, are they all the same?
Are all network applications affected, or only some? If only some, which ones?
Is networking always the same, or is the problem intermittent?
Disconnect all other devices from the network. Any change?
Start up in safe mode and test. Any difference?
Start up in Recovery mode. From the OS X Utilities screen, select Get Help Online. A clean copy of Safari will launch. No plugins, such as Flash, will be available. Any difference?
If possible, turn off Bluetooth and disconnect any USB 3 devices. Any difference?

  • Why can't i use credit card on app store its money on it and its an visa card

why can't i use credit card on app store its money on it and its an visa card

Credit cards do need to be from the same country as your account, which may or may not apple, but if you're visiting from another country and trying to use, for example, a UK card in the US app store, it won't work.
Could you have typo'd a number? Or could the card be expired?

Is this a visa gift card? I seem to recall people having issues with credit card gift cards.

  • HT202631 can i use credit in my app store to buy music in itunes?

can i use credit in my app store to buy music in itunes?

Yes, if you have a balance on your iTunes account then you can use that for buying apps from the iTunes app store (or to buy from the iBookstore or Mac App Store, and music, films etc from iTunes) - you can't use your balance for gifting content or an amount to another person

My credit in my App Store account has vanished. I have loads of unwanted game s and apps in the queue. There is a cloud with arrow and I cannot remove or stop any action. Where did my money go and how do I get rid of all the apps in the queue?
    <Edited By Host>

I can't seem to find an app that costs my available balance. iTunes said I need to spend it ALL before I can change stores. This means I cannot totally change stores.... Hopeless.

  • How do I fix no access to app store and itunes.

Macbook Pro came with 10.7.3.  I migrated my Macbook from 10.6.8 and it worked for a while.  Then it got where I couldn't access the app store.  Then I couldn't access the itunes store.  I spent an hour with applecare up to level 2 today with no fix.  I cleared the user caches, dumped the application support folder, repaired permissions, ran Applejack, threw out app store plist. Booted from the recovery partition, ran terminal pulled up resetpassword in terminal, and reset the permissions and other thing (A something or other) from there.  No go.  Still doesn't work.   It works ok from another user account.   I have migrated up from a Mac LC (with stuff from an Apple //e on it) through something I don't remember the name of, a blue and white, a G3 tower and now to this and a 27 inch iMac.
A companion problem is that the search box in the upper right hand corner of Safari doesn't work.
My workaround is to switch users for app store and use Chrome for browsing.
I had the same problem on the iMac but don't know what I did that fixed it.
    Any ideas?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
What do you mean by having no access to those apps? Can you start up your Mac and work with it, and only some OS X apps do not work?
Anyway, what you can try is to reinstall OS X. To do this, hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up and reinstall OS X. You will not lose any file.

  • How can I get credit in Mac App Store for software installed from CD?

So I have purchased iLife '11 and iWork '09 disks.  I have had them installed on my MacBook Pro since 2010.  The Mac App Store has happily been updating the all the apps for as long as I can remember.  However, the MAS doesn't recognize the iLife and iWork apps as INSTALLED.  I tried a "fix" to drop a MAS receipt into the individual app's Packages, and it did change the MAS to show them as INSTALLED.  However, to test whether the MAS really saw them as something I had purchased and could then reinstall, I deleted the Numbers app.
Now the MAS shows me needing to spend the $20 to get Numbers back.  I know I could just dig out the DVD and install it again.
I am thinking of wiping my MBP drive and doing a clean install of Mountain Lion and am just trying to make sure I don't have to buy apps again, and am trying to get around re-installing from original DVDs and going through major time upgrading them through the MAS.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
You cannot get the MAS to recognize the iLife or iWork apps installed from disc and update them. These are two different versions of the apps. Falsifying the disc versions with copies of MAS receipts from other apps will not accomplish this, as it cannot be done. The apps from disc are updated through Software Update until they are at the end of their road. At that point you would need to purchase paid upgrades through the MAS.

  • No Credit Card for App Store

I run into this problem all the time.  I work at a company.  I need to download apps for my company provided Mac.  I do not want to use my personal Apple ID, so I create a work Apple ID with my work email address.  I proceed to try to download something and I can't, because my Apple ID has never been used on the App Store and it asks me to review payment information.  I get to that page and it won't let me continue until I put a credit card number in.
I see other posts like this one:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5080642?searchText=no%20credit%20card
But I do not have a "None" option for payment.  How can I get passed this?
(Side note, I hear people complain about this all the time.  Apple should really make this easier.)

    Thanks!
The steps worked.  Here's the copy and paste from her post:
Log out of iTunes, if you are not already.  (Or hit Cancel if you're on the Review Payment screen.)
Instead of going into Sign In, go to Redeem under the Quick Links, on the right-hand side, down a bit.
Go through the screens, accepting the EULA, etc.  You will get to a Review Payment screen, similar to the one you saw before, but it will have a None button.
You can enter an iTunes card here if you want, but I was able to leave that field blank and still successfully get the account set up, ready to use on the iPad.
(To continue on my side note: Apple should still really change this.  Must admit, it does annoy the **** out of me.)

  • Removing credit card from App Store

How do you remove credit card information from the App Store?

    Hi Thermal camera,
If you would like to change or remove the billing information from your iTunes Store account, you may find the following article useful:
    iTunes Store: Changing account information
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1918
To update your name, billing address, or payment information, follow these instructions:
From the Apple Account Information page, click the Edit Payment Information button.
Edit the information that you would like to change. Note: The payment methods that the iTunes Store accepts can be found in the payment type section. If you do not want a payment method on your account, select None in the payment type section.
Click the Done button once you've updated all of your information.
    Cheers,
    - Brenden

  • How do I fix my iPad's App Store?

The App Store on my iPad 2, OS 7, Has the info on the last app that I looked at from Appsgonefree, clicking off to the side dose not turn on the regular App Store, I can't look at catagories, update, etc.  The looking thing I can look at is info on the program that I do not want.  or email it to someone else.

Try quitting the App Store app and reset the iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
