Please fix the Wifi Issues

I owned a Galaxy S-3 and never had a issue with my Wi-Fi. But since I have switched over to the S-4 I cannot keep a connection to my Wi-Fi at my home.  My Wireless Router is Not out of date and No changes have been Made. My IPod and my laptop connects as do my Desktop PC. But My Galaxy S-4 disconnects stating that the signal is weak.  I can Stand right next to the router and get the same message.. I reboot my Router and no changes.. I reboot the phone and I get a connection but within 5 minutes it disconnects.. Please don't tell me I made a mistake switching from US Cellular to Verizon and switching my Reliable S-3 to a S-4???

    Let's get you connected inavydoc because we certainly do not want you to have any regrets! I understand you are experiencing difficulties with your wifi connetion. How is your internet connection when you are not connected to wifi?
The Samsung Galaxy S4 comes with a feature called Auto Switch network. Can you try ensuring this feature is not enabled. The purpose of the feature is to fall back to the cellular network when the Wi-Fi link becomes poor. The setting can be found by going to Settings > Wi-Fi > Tap the Menu Key(to the left of the home button) > Select Advanced and it is called `Auto network switch. Ensure the box is not checked and test wifi network.

    I did the diagnostics, the result is that "my connection is working properly." But it seems strange to me that in the same room where I have the router the signal strength is maximum 70%. Or in my room, the signal with the macbook is unstable while with my old pc was full signal.
    is a problem of my macbook or I can't do anything?

  • APPLE - you have not fixed the WiFi issues

    OK, I admit that wifi has improved, bit it's not fixed. WiFi still stalls on loading pages.
    Yes it's faster, yes it is more reliable, but after a while, it does still stall. The same fix as before is anwork around, but it's not over yet. Not by a longshot.
    My current work around is to forget the network and re-join it. I'm down to twice a day now, not every five minutes, but seeing as my laptop can connect for over a week with out re-booting, this is definitely an Ipad issue.
    Come on apple, get your thumb back into the sunlight and fix it once and for all.

    I think a distinction between a router dropping connection a an iPAD that cannot maintain connection needs to be drawn.
    I have now taken 2 iPADS 3g back with exactly the same problem as in it cannot maintain a connection to the router from a distance of less than 20ft.
    I have six different items connected to my router, they are a printer, a nokia phone, 2 laptops, 1 Netbook and for a shortime an iPAD as well as my home pc
    NONE of the aforementioned items save for the iPAD have had connection problems to my 14 month old router.
    I can connect to my router with the laptops and netbook from my back garden without any problem, the printer remains in the same place which is quite close to the router, the Nokia phone connects anywhere I choose to connect.
    The Ipad can connect to my network 20ft from the router but cannot maintain a connection with it dropping out every couple of minutes and when it is connected it is very slow in loading pages. The netbook and the laptops and nokia from the same location report a good signal and upload/download times are fine...
    I have changed channels on the router, I've reset and updated the Ipad and rememberd to mess with the brightness but still I cannot maintain a connection.
    My router shows that it has been connected to broadband continuously for 5 weeks except when recently rebooting it as per the notion that it would help the iPAD reconnect.
    Simply put the iPAD does not perform, it is wholly unreliable where it's wi-fi is concerned and I do not think the latest patch was anything more than a tickle of the signal indicator etc....
    Neither do I think that routers should be reset with it changed from wep to wpa as suggested by others. My usual pc is an iMAC5, it has no connection problems, it talks to my router without any problems as do all my other items. There is nothing radical in the hardward used in an iPAD that requires a new router or even for an established router to be reset.

    Apple is working on it on a case-by-case basis. It's not happening for everyone; I would guess that well less than half of the people using MBPs are experiencing the issue (I'm not). That's not much solice for the people who are, but you should be contacting Apple directly about it instead of complaining here where Apple will never hear you.

    Have you followed the steps listed in iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim - Support - Apple?
    If not, do so immediately.  Also, try: iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device.
    The software update is not the cause of the problem.  It is possible, however, that your hardware (i.e., the wi-fi chip) had a hidden problem, probably with heat tolerance, and the heat generated from the iOS update (the processor creates more heat the harder it works) pushed it past its tolerance.

  • Please fix the compatibility issue regarding google tool bar

    I have now FF5 and this version is NOT compatible with Google Tool Bar. I have all of my favorites and bookmarks on that tool. I do not and will not use the bookmark feature in FF. Google is everywhere and I can access it most places and feel it is a large error on Mozilla to exclude such a widely accepted plugin.

    chibangbodies, looks like you did not bother to read past first post. It is Google that needs to update their extension, always been that way.
    Firefox 5.0 is pretty much both a security update in place of 4.0.2 and has some additional features fixes that would not likely have been in a point update.
    The vast majority of extensions that were compatible with 4.0.1 should be compatible with 5.0 with mainly just a maxversion bump. Unless it happens to be a extension that needs additional work sue to some changes or updates.
    Also when dawn.prentice@ posted this thread some 2 weeks ago the Firefox 5.0 was still in Beta testing (beta 4 of 7) as it was only just officially released June 21.

    This problem makes me sick, guys. My n73 shoots better macros

    I'm talkin about the famous bug or call it however you want that affects the macro function of the n8.
    I cannot accept that a CAMERA PHONE cannot focus in macro mode when updated to Belle. I have to focus 10-15 times to achieve the correct focusing.
    Why my n73 can shoot the same macro and my n8 don't ? if you chek in other forums you'll notice that's a common problem. A common BIG problem, dude.

    iPhone 4s Wifi problem, After using the device of 7 month. wifi is not working. BEFORE WAS WORKING FINE and now wifi is not able to identify. I tried all the possibilities to fix the wifi, such as resetting network, restart the phone, restore from iTune and setup as new phone, but the problem remain same. turning on the wifi can't recognise any network. any other idiea to fix the wifi of iPhone.   • When will the wifi issue be corrected???

    Come on, Apple!  I, like the millions of others who updated to Mavericks and then to Yosemite, need the internet to work and to live!  I do not have the luxury of being able to hard wire to the internet, so this issue with the wifi is seriously bringing me down.  I have to stay at work for hours longer than usual instead of being able to go home because I can no longer access the internet at home.  This is ridiculous!  I have tried every band-aid out there and nothing is working.  Please, please. please, fix the problem.

    now when i checked the RPD for this and run the consistency check everything went fine.No warning MSG, No Error, No Best Best Practice.
    now i checked the join condition in BMM for the dimension i m using in report and fact.
    it's like Fact F is directly Joined with Dim A & Dim B.
    now when i checked the Physical join it's like Fact F1 is joined with Dim Aand Dim C , Fact F2 is joined with Dim B and Dim C.
    so there is no direct fact table join between Dim A and Dim B.
    Fact F1 & Fact F2 goes as MTLS in BMM and creating Fact F, now when i got this error i went to Fact F in BMM and checked the LTS and level of granuality for DIM A and Dim B for Fact F1 and Fact F2 respectively. and it is also set as detail level. and in BMM LTS Fact F1 and Fact F2 is also join with inner join with Dim C. and Dim C's level of granuality is also set in Fact F1 and Fact F2 .
    the Columns that i m taking criteria are coimng from Fact F, Dim A, Dim B.
    can anyone suggest me what to do in this case????

    In BMM
    Fact F = (physical F1 + F2)
    In Physical:
    F1 -> Dim A, Dim C ; F2 -> Dim B,Dim C
    So, in your BMM, please make sure that
    1. Logical source for physical F1 has 'Detail for Dim A, Dim C' and 'Total for Dim B'
    2. Logical source for physical F2 has 'Detail for Dim B , Dim C' and 'Total for Dim A'.
    I think this should resolve the issue.

    Now I have to point out that going ballistic has certain connotations but posting on an internet forum is not one of them.
    I appear to be one of thousands who are all expressing their outrage in a rational and intelligent manner which cannot be said for your lebvel 4 + collegues on this forum.
    Finally there has been an ongoing issue wiith the iPad 3 Wifi on certain wifi only models , I have not encountered it and it seems clear neither have you. That of course does not discount the fact that many others have experienced this issue , an issue which may reveal itself to you or I in the future particularly as I have only been using mine for a fortnight.

    As of my knowledge, you shouldn't get results set for any of views because of this error..!!
    I see you are using 2 facts in the report.
    And, dimensions you are using in this reports are confirmed dimensions to these 2 facts?
    Are you mentioned proper content levels for each Fact LTSs?
    Basic funda is: If fact and dimensions are joined directly, then you should mention the the level of granularity in Fact LTS. If not, you should mention total level of the dimensional hierarchy for the Fact LTS
