Please give advice re: Design view !

Hi everybody,
I have just started work with a company that creates alot of web sites using Deamweaver MX2004 (in design view)
I am only experienced with using code view(mainly in
CS4 and notepad++)
The problem is that any sites I make will be difficult for the other people to change later because they are rendered so differently in design view. ie: CSS rollovers and other layout stuff.
(all my code created in code view validates at w3.)
Please help!
what do you think would be the best thing to do?
Should I just take the time and learn to make sites in
design view?,
is this a common problem w/ MX 2004, would an upgrade
help?,
or is there something else I should do....

DW MX was released about 6 years ago so CSS rendering and editing is lacking. An upgrade would be better for a lot of reasons.

JTabbedPane question. Please give advice.

I am writing some applicaiton which includes a jTabbedPane.(with 4 tabs)
Say I have tab A,B,C,D. Which contains panelA, panelB, panelC and panelD under each tab.
I would like to refresh corresponding panel when user click on the tab.
I tried panelB's focusGained event, but it doesn't work right. I would have to click on some control of other panel for it to work.
How do I trigger a function which user click on B tab? not some control in panelB.
I am new to swing. please give some advice.

Add a changeListener to your JTabbedPane which forwards an update to your panels when the current tab is changed,

put your updating in a overridden setVisible() in your panels, since the JTabbedPane uses visibility to control which tab gets shown.

Have you tried a hard reset yet? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
This may or may not work the first time around, so be sure to attempt this procedure at least 3 times.

moving to the trash the com.apple.safari.plist preference file will reset Safari's preferences to the default values after you restart Safari. You can locate this file by going to the Finder - HD/Users/User Account/Library/Preferences folder.
Once Safari restarts, you can select your custom preferences, as well as add any address bar icons available i the View Menu>Customize Address Bar. Trashing the preference file ought to take care of your tab dilemma.

Please put back Design view in Dreamweaver v2014.1!

I am always open for new features that said design view is a critical feature I use when I develop website.
The live view has delays and switching between code and live view is not smooth.
Adobe programmers please put back my design view because this is what separates DW from the rest of web developers tools out there!!!! Is ok to add new features but never remove the design view option ...

Honestly, I doubt they'll "restore" it at all. It's more likely they'll hasten the release of a more functional Live View Editing feature set. But either way, the actual Adobe reps here (there aren't many) can't comment on expected release dates.
The writing's been on the wall for a while regarding Design View. It's eventually going the way of the APDiv, once Live View Editing is up to snuff.

Generally, when you install Lync 2013 in the computer with Office 2010, a Lync Meeting Add-in will be installed and enabled in Outlook 2010. Please follow these steps to check it:
1. In Outlook, click the File tab, click Options, and then click
Add-Ins.
2. Please take one of the following actions:
If the add-in is in the Inactive Application Add-ins list, follow these steps:
a. In the Manage drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog box, click
COM Add-ins, and then click Go.
b. Click to select the check box next to the add-in, and then click OK.
The New Online Meeting button should now be available in
Calendar View, and the Online Meeting button should be available when you create a new calendar item.
If the add-in is in the Disabled Application add-ins list, follow these steps:
a. In the Manage drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog box, click
Disabled Items, and then click Go.
b. Select the add-in, and then click Enable.
c. Restart Outlook, and then verify that the add-in is displayed in the
Add-ins dialog box.
The New Online Meeting button should now be available in
Calendar View, and the Online Meeting button should now be available when you create a new calendar item.
3. In Event Viewer, view the Application log to see whether an error was logged for Outlook, for Lync 2013, the Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013.

Are you choosing a different plan before tapping Done?
To downgrade, you should be doing the following:
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
Tap Change Storage Plan.
Tap Downgrade Options and enter your Apple ID password.
Choose a different plan to use when your current storage plan expires.
Tap Done.

I use blacks and white sliders on every photo (this does not necessarily imply non-zero values). I consider them as important as any other slider. Not optional, not for fine tuning - include consideration each iteration.
Although that is contrary to what Adobe and many "experts" recommend, I tried doing it their way too but I could not get the results I wanted in most cases.
The "concept" and original intent is for fine tuning, but the implementation is not. I often set whites to +20, +30, +40. This has a radical effect on overall exposure which is the most important thing to get right in PV2012. And it generally requires compensatory adjustment of highlights, shadows, and sometimes contrast...
Likewise, optimal shadow toning can include radical blacks adjustment - sorry Adobe/experts/defenders, but for me - it's true. And, blacks slider, like whites, affects entire histogram, a lot.
Summary:
========
If you want to keep things as simple as possible, then use sparingly and use last (gag), but if you want your photos to look how you want them to look - as good as possible, then use liberally, and pay the price...

Design view is locked in Dreamweaver! please help!

On Dreamweaver, after i save my website and close dreamweaver like at the end of the day, after i open it again it wont let me go into design view. And as far as i can see the coding is gone. How can i fix this? Am i doing something wrong when i save it? Please help!Design view

You also do not have a site selected in your Files window. That is an extremely important step in DW.
If you haven't defined a site, and/or aren't working from a defined site, you'll run into all kinds of problems with Dreamweaver. You'll notice in your screen shot, you have a Files window in the bottom right. The dropdown in that window (currently showing Desktop) needs to have a site selected. If you haven't defined a site yet, follow the instructions here...

Basically Loggers, Appenders and Layouts are components of the Log4J package which developers can use to log desired outputs.
Log4J provides a very robust logging facility as compared to System.out.println() statements.
Log4J is implemented by the class org.apache.log4j.
Logger :
The Logger component is used to create a logger object. The logger object basically segregates the logs into five different categories depending upon the priority. These are DEBUG, INFO, WARNING, ERROR and FATAL in ascending order of priority. The Root logger is at the top of the hierarchy and has a default priority of DEBUG.
Only those messages which have a priority greater than or equal to the priority of the root logger, will be logged.
Appenders:
An appender is the destination to which logs are written/recorded. The Logger object sends output to the appropriate Appender. There are a number of appenders like...ConsoleAppender, FileAppender, JDBCAppender, SocketAppender etc. U can use the one u like according to ur application requirements.
Layouts:
Layouts as the name suggests, are different layouts for the Appenders. U can use a SimpleLayout, HTMLLayout etc. to format the output that u receive in the Appender.

I would be happy to provide some help! I can see that you are unable to print anything to the Deskjet 2540 via wireless. To ensure I provide you with the correct information I will need to know what operating system the computer running. also are you trying to print from a mobile device like an iPad or tablet?
If you are unsure of what operating system version your computer is running:
For Windows click here: Windows Operating System
For Mac click here: Mac Operating System
To ensure your router is setup to network the printer correctly I recommend contacting your router company an ensure the following settings are correct in the router:
~ Network name and password need to have NO SPACES OR PUNCTUATION
~ Must be using WPA security
~ Encryption Type 128-bit
~ Dual broadcast Wireless b/g/n (printer will only connect to g)
~ MAC filter needs to be turned off
~ Multicasting Must be turned on
~ Bonjour must be enabled
~ Dual band set to 2.4 Ghz
~ Correct Wireless Channel (not 1,, 6,, 11)
~ Router Firmware Updates
~ Firewall settings need to be at there default settings, or set to a lower security
~ Following ports need to be un-blocked:
Incoming (UDP) ports : 137, 138, 161, 427 (iPad 80, 443)
Outgoing (TCP) ports : 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500 (iPad 5222, 5223)

No images show up in Design View. Help please......!!!

Trying to edit an existing webpage in Dreamweaver CS5. I already defined a site which is the local folder of the existing webpage. However, I was just unable to display any images in Design View. My inline CSS codes are:

The reference to the image is correct. It's just under the Image folder of the defined site. However I just couldn't manage to get the background image showing up in Design View. If I edit the above CSS codes as a seperate style file and link it to the webpage, yes I can see the image in Design View. But I just don't understand why the inline CSS codes don't work.
Can anyone help me, please?
