Further to my post a perpetual inventory system reflects the value of stock postings in means of monetary transactions in the accounting system. These monetary transactions are carried out only when items defined as WH (warehousing) items are received or released from stock.
A perpetual inventory system should be determined during basic initialization before any transactions had been posted. This is done in Administration - System Initialisation - Company Details - Basic Initialisation - Inventory valuation by. When you choose one of the inventory valuation methods you are basically telling the system that you are using Perpetual Inventory System.

Hello Vijaya,
Its reading the Conditiuon table and checking for the condition type ZGBC in the document condition table. If it exists then its makeing the Condition ZFIK as in active. So   During pricing, the system ignores conditions that are valid but not active in this case ZFIK.

each number represents what?

It's a version number. They're quite common in the computer industry.
The first number is the version of the database. This supposedly represents major changes in database functionality (usually there's a big idea Oracle 8 was ORDBMS, 9 was (I think) XML, 10 was definitely grid, who knows what 11 will bring).
The second and third numbers represent incremental releases - these represent enhances to the main release. Deciding whether the next release after 9.0.7 should be numbered 9.0.8 or 9.1.0 is often just down to marketing.
The fourth number is a patch release and just represents a package of bug fixes.
It's interersting (well, mildly diverting) that 8i went from 8.1.5 through to 8.1.7.4 but never made it to 8.2. That eventually became 9.0.1.

there is no MVC1 or MVC2, only the MVC pattern. The implementation of the MVC is fairly open-ended and there are some variations that are not named as different "versions" because each variation still has the same pattern: there is a model, there are views and there are controllers. Feature request: please give the ability to close all background apps at once!?

Hello. Please oh please give us the ability to close all open/running apps with one click or swipe. I, like many users, like to close running apps (much like on my computer) to keep my ipad/iPhone running fast. I know you guys say that background apps are put on pause and don't slow things down but that is simply not the case in real world usage. All the time my iPhone or iPad becomes sluggish and if I swipe 30 times to close all the apps the sluggishness goes away. I like the simple and easy to use ios, but a little more control for the user would be very beneficial. This, I would guess, is one of the main reasons one would get an android device instead, because they require for fine tune control. Giving us this feature, amoung a few others, would be a win win. The end user get more what they need, and apple steals away (or keeps) more loyal apple buyers.

I've never seen this error in the context of trying to connect via ODP.NET or ODT.
If you have Oracle Dev Tools for Visual Studio installed, you can try to create a connection to the database using Server Explorer. If this works, that means your ODP.NET connection is just fine.
If you don't have VS or the tools, another thing you can try is connecting through ODP.NET using a simple OracleConnection.Open. Make sure you have your client set up to connect to the DB server.
