Please help 9iDS - 500 internal server error

Hi all,
I got the message 500 internal server error when I run report from form by using WEB.SHOWDOCUMENT. When I test it seperately, both the report and form work fine. But i got this problem when I run report from form. Is anyone have suggestions? I try so many ways but still can't solve this problem. Thank you very much.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply! And yes its very frustrating. There is no other reference to this error - and I have the app and all Oracle components (oc4j & Apache) at their maximum log level.
I have logged a SR with Oracle and off course their first response was that it "must be an issue with the 3rd party app". Needless to say the 3rd party vendor suggests I speak to Oracle...Anyway I am still working with Oracle on the SR.
I have in the meantime upgraded to 9041, but I still get the same. I will try 9042 next. I have also started a "Plan B" workaround in my code...
Thanks for the sympathy and any other other insights still most welcome...
Cheers.
Anton.

  • Please help with "500 Internal Server Error"

    Hi all,
I get a "500 Internal Server" error when doing some processing with a Java program that makes HTTP calls into an application API deployed as WAR file on a OC4J midtier installation. The process works fine until I get a "500 Internal Server" after about 100 transactions. I can see reference to the 500 error in the Apache access_log, but that is it - no other references whatsoever in any of the logs (OPMN, OC4J, Apache, etc.).
Can anyone point me to some sort of "500 error troubleshooting guide" or have any suggestions as to how to track the problem down?
    Thank you.
    Anton.

  • Urgent help On as2 error The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.

    hi,
im configured the as2 partner setup as per this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb246129(BTS.20).aspx.
but when im process file , then file try hit partner url goes dyhradated state, then failed. then i got below error.
The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
    please any help..
    Thanks

500 server error could be due to anyone of the following reasons:
Party configuration is wrong. Party properties/configurations have  to be discussed upfront with the source/destination system and have to be in-line with
    them.
Certificates have to be deployed in correct folders based on      certificate types like private/public/signed etc.
Firewall (or network components) has to be opened accordingly for parties(systems) to interact. This change has to be done at the both the levels, source and destination.
If you receive it through HTTPReceive.dll (may uses this for AS2), you have to check its configurations.
Also 500 error, could occur even if your BizTalk artifacts has not been configured/deployed/enabled properly.
If this answers your question please mark it accordingly. If this post is helpful, please vote as helpful by clicking the upward arrow mark next to my reply.

What could this mean ? Any idea that I could investigate to fix this issue ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello sqlgirl,
Thank you for your post. The error 500 is a generic error thrown by IIS. IIS received the request; however, an internal error occurred during the processing of the request. The root cause of this error depends on which module handles the request and what was happening in the worker process when this error occurred.
One possibility is, IIS was not able to access the web.config file for the Web site or application. Please check the permissions.
The handlers might be causing the issue. Please remove the connector. Make sure you launch wsconfig with Run as Administrator while remove/adding connector. Check in the IIS manager for handlers, cgi restriction for connector dll entry (isapi_redirect.dll) and remove them manually if exist. Then only recreate the connector.
Also, please tune your application by applying the steps mentioned at http://blogs.coldfusion.com/post.cfm/tuning-coldfusion-10-iis-connecto r-configuration
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    Anit Kumar

Get the TNSNAMES.ORA file of your database and copy it in Discoverer Home (i.e., home where you installed Discoverer Administrator, usually BIToolsHome_1/network/admin). Then login to Discoverer Administrator using a new database user (usually EUL_US) which you might have created as part of installation. Once logged in, it will prompt you to create an EUL. Please follow Discoverer Installation Document.

  • "500 internal server error" when trying to use F4 help in the variable sele

    Hi Experts,
I am getting "500 internal server error" when trying to use F4 help in the variable selection screen (in WAD).
    How could this be resolved?
Quick reply would be very helpfull.
    Thanks in advance !!

It seems you are using wrong client ID. Make sure your logon pad has right details. You should verify this with your basis team.
If the problem persists then try re-installing. But before you do that you can execute sapbexc.xla which is in the c:\program files\sap\bw. Type c:\ in cell c3 and click "start button". Any red flag means you have wrong version dll/ocx on your local drive, in that case you should reinstall with right patches.
if this solution helps u then pls assign points

  • Oracle Help Demonstration: Error 500--Internal Server Error

    Hi,
I'm trying to get Oracle Help for Web to work on a weblogic server 10.3.2. I've tried both of the thick and thin demo files (ohw-rcf-demo-thick and ohw-rcf-demo-thin) provided by Oracle. In the case of the thin demo file I have all of the required dependencies installed.
    •ADF (adf.oracle.domain(1.0,11.1.1.1.0)) [I have a slightly newer version 11.1.1.2.0]
    •Java Server Faces (jsf(1.2,1.2.9.0))
•JavaServer Pages Standard Tag Library (jstl(1.2,1.2.0.1))
Both demos installed without error (I have removed one before deploying the other).
    However when I attempt to access http://<my server>:<my port>/ohw-rcf-demo/
I get the following in my web browser

We are getting 500 Internal server error, when we try
to forward using dispatcher in our servlet. We
couldn't find any exact reason why this error occurs. Are you sure you still have the same file structure as previously deployed. I suppose there would have been some change. Besides your code would make the problem clear.
