Please help a newbie: Why can't I access my fonts?
I create a newsletter for a small local civic association (501c4 nonprofit). I just purchased an annual subscription to InDesign for layout but now i'm getting error messages when I try to load and access a layout previously done by another colleague. The only fonts she used are Yellowtail and ITC Franklin. Are those no longer part of the InDesign font kit? Do I have to pay extra for them? Is there an alternative to those fonts in the InDesign package?
Those two fonts were never part of the fonts installed by InDesign. They apparently were installed by your colleague on her computer.
If you have no access to the fonts your colleague used, you can substitute any fonts you have installed on your computer. All those fonts should show up in InDesign's font menus.
What version of InDesign do you have? If you have a Creative Cloud subscription, you can download some Typekit fonts which would be part of the subscription.

Please help a newbie. Can not get color replacement to work

Let me start off by saying that I am a newbie to PS in general. I have been on the software for a short period of time. I was working with some images and I was making layers trying to bring color out of BW photos (make a BW layer and use the brush to get the color back in certain areas). I installed RAW 5.3 and now when I make a BW layer I can not make the adjustments on the layer any longer. I get an error message stating I can not make adjustments to the layer. But in all the manuals I have it states to make the adjustments on the layer. I am really confused. I am looking at my plug ins on PS "homescreen" and there are 2 Camera RAWs (5.3 and 5.0). I was wondering if I delete 5.0 that may help (how can I do this). Also, I can make a color picture and remove the color from the main image, but that would just take too long to only bring out the color in a small area. I am wondering why this process is now "reversed"
Also, is there a setting that may not be right to make the color replacement on the layer that may not be right on my computer. Again, all this started right after installing RAW 5.3. I am running an iMac OS X v10.5.7.
I am sorry if I am leaving some information out, but I am a newbie and do not know what other information might be useful.

I am sorry you are having issues with viewing your contacts. Where exactly are you trying to view your contacts? (ie Backup Assistant or Verizon Cloud). What happens when you try to sign in to view the contacts? Are you receiving any error messages?

1 to create a big camera for i pads and ipods and iphones so we can put it in another ipad or ipod or iphone and it has a zoom lens

H.MThe iPad 1 can't run the newer operating systems. It'd be like trying to play a bluray disc in your 6 year old dvd player....it simply lacks the hardware to make the software run.
No suggestion about the camera, but given that Apple's attitude seems to be to focus more on the more mobile devices for photography (the iPhone and Touch cameras got features, the iPad and mini didn't), that is highly unlikely. You can tell Apple what you want, but you'd probably be money ahead to get a digital camera.
as to the photos, anything put on via iTunes has to come off via iTunes.Your main alternative would be to look for photo apps that offer file exchange that may give you more functionality. -
Why that when I record a video in my iPhone 4s then I will transfer it to my laptop, the video is in slow motion? Please help so that I can use always my video recording feature. Thanks!
Video is synced from the computer to the iPhone via iTunes. You need to load the video into iTunes, make sure it is iPhone compatible before you do that, and once it is in iTunes, then sync to the iPhone.
Never said what computer OS you were using. Also, the computer processor, amount of RAM can make a difference with HD video. -

I am unable to register my debit card after creating my apple ID. Whenever i click "continue" after filling all the debit card details, it shows that, "Your payement method has been declined". Please help me people, why is it so.? Also, i would ike to tell that my bank is, Union Bank Of India and it facilitates the auto conversion, rupee to dollar.. I think there is a different problem. Please help me guys.!!
The card must be issued in the same country as the store you are trying to use. If you're trying to sign up for the US Apple Store, it must be a US card with a US billing address. If you're trying to sign up in India, it must be an Indian card with an Indian billing address.
Apple will run a small charge, which will be credited back, to make sure the card is valid. If it is a debit card and you do not have enough in the account to cover the authorization, it will be declined.
It is possible the currency conversion you mentioned may be causing a problem. Contact the issuing bank if you are sure you have enough in the account and you are signing up for the correct store. -

There is nothing that anyone here on a user forum can do to help you. If it is a local issue in Syria, then you need to take it up with your phone company or authorities there who have prevented you from using VPN.

Yes, you are right. The web-based online help is available only for the current version of Photoshop. I also discovered how to access the online help that originally came on my CS4 disk. You turn on the offline option (Windows>Extensions>Connections). With the online help from the disk and the PDFs you pointed out, I am happy. Thank you very much. (I hope I have replied to everyone correctly. I am new to this.) My thanks to everyone.
