PLEASE HELP! Add titles to still photos??!!!

Hi anyone and everyone,
I am working on a project that I need to add 'titles' to some still photos!!! I am using iMovie 5.0.2.
IS THIS POSSIBLE??? I've been pulling my hair out trying to get around it but cant....HELP!! Before I sign myself in!!

Yes.
You don't say how you are going about trying to add titles. So I'm going to guess at what your problem is.
I assume you have placed photos in your timeline in iMovie.
To add a title, you need to drag the title down to your timeline by clicking on and dragging the little blue "T" next to the style of title you wish to use.
Also, make sure you have unchecked "Over black" if you wish your title to be rendered on top of your photo.

Albums is a way or sorting photos. Photos aren't moved from the Camera roll. The Camera Roll consists of all the photos on the phone. If you delete from Camera Roll they are deleted everywhere but Photo Stream.
Are you using Photo Stream? Your photos, providing they wer recent should still be in Photo Stream. If you have Photo Stream set up on your computer they should all be there.

Could someone please help me import my iphoto photos into aperture? They are now just referenced files.

I am a longtime iphoto user and installed aperture this past december. At that time I imported all my iphoto photos as referenced files and kept them in their iphoto location. Since that time, every photo I took was uploaded directly into aperture and stored there. I am now comfortable enough with aperture that I would like to use it as my primary photo viewer / manipulator and would like to merge my two libraries into one single aperture library. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to do this.
I tried consolidating all originals yesterday, however this did not seem to have any effect. I then tried reimporting my iphoto library, however, this simply duplicated many of my events (and the duplicated ones were not even adjustable via aperture, and each photo had a little exclamation point in the lower right corner). Both of these attempts did nothing to combine my aperture projects and my iphoto events (which are now seen as a seperate iphoto tab under projects). I am aware that I can now switch to my iphoto library within aperture in version 3.3, but I just want everything stored in one place and in my aperture library. Can someone please help me with this?
The only thing I can think of is deleting all of the iphoto events from aperture and then reimporting them, but I am scared I will either delete something permenantly or that they will simply reimport as referenced files and remain within iphoto.

I am not quite clear about the current state of your iPhoto and Aperture libraries. It looks like you have plenty of broken links to referenced masters in either library. Whatever you do now, it is very important to ensure that you have a working backup, both of your iPhoto Library and your Aperture library, before you try a major reconstruction.
I tried consolidating all originals yesterday, however this did not seem to have any effect.
In what way did it not have any effect? From the effects you are describing, it looks like all your original master images have been removed from the iPhoto Library and are now inside the Aperture library as managed masters - at least, this would explain, why trying to import the iPhoto library resulted in duplicated projects (and the duplicated ones were not even adjustable via aperture, and each photo had a little exclamation point in the lower right corner). You removed the original masters from the iPhoto library, and now you could not import it, since the originals are now in Aperture.
For me it looks, like you simply need to delete the iPhoto images marked with an exclamation mark, for these are already bound to images that you imported earlier. It is perfectly o.k. that the recently imported iPhoto Library appears in a separate section of the projects in your Library Inspector Panel. Each iPhoto event should appear as a project. Aperture will put them there, so you can find them easily.
You should check now, if the originally imported images, that you imported as referenced, are now managed. If you enable badge overlays you should see no longer any arrows on the thumbnails of your earlier imports. Also, if you select one of these images, you should be able to toggle between original master and version by typing the "M" key.
Define some smart albums (File > New > Smart album) based on the file status: Add a rule: File status is.
One smart album: File Status is referenced
One smart album: File Status is managed
One smart album: File Status is missing
The first album should be empty.
The second album should show all your images you originally imported from iphoto as managed, and that you recently consolidated.
The third album should show your recent import - the images imported from iPhoto after you consolidated the originals to Aperture and removed these images from iPhoto.
Post back, when you have checked the file status of your images in Aperture and we can be sure were the images are exactly.

Titles for still photos

Is it possible to add a title to a photo without splitting the photo?

I suspect Hound dog doesn't really mean 'jump' and that he simply means he sees a short clip of the still image without a title, i.e. the title is shorter than still.
Hound Dog if this is the case you need to either make the title duration longer to match the duration of the still or vice-versa.
Personally I would go for making the still match the title duration as I've had occasions where once a title has been rendered it has been a couple of frames more or less than what I set it at.
So this is what I would do:
If I was aiming for a duration of 5 seconds, I would set the still duration to about 5s 5f and apply a title of 5s, if the title rendered at 5s all well and good, if not I'd use what I had and simply trash the portion of the still that had no title rendered onto it.
What you want to avoid is the duration of the title being longer than that of the still, which means it will over-run onto the next still and cause problems.
Hope that is what you wanted to know and if it is that it is clear enough.

Thank you in advance for anyone/everyone who answers this questions. I need your help!
(The most frustrating thing about this - is that it was working easily and perfectly last night with not even a hiccup. argh.
So:
I am putting two movies in one iDVD project and then I'm going to burn on a DL DVD.
The first movie is in and all of the Chapter Markers imported beautifully with the titles, etc..., BUT....last night I was able to select the Motion Button - Change it to a STILL IMAGE and then drop in my own Still Image. It was looking great!
Today, I can't.
I select the Motion Button and the only "Button Info" Menu it gives me is one that has Font control, Size control, Label, and Transitions. NO "Still Image" box to check...no box to click and drag my image into - nothing. argh again!
On the map page, if I select the "chapter/scene selection" - all it say is "Loop Movie" and gives me a box to check or uncheck.
Help! Help! Help!
I feel like I'm losing my mind. I've gone thru and checked to see if there's anything I could've changed, but can't think of anything.
Of course, I'm on a tight deadline, so please help.

I figured it out!!!
It seems to be a glitch in the "Center Stage" theme.
I switched to the Revolution Theme, made all of my adjustments, then switched back to Center Stage and it worked!!
Hilarious, too, because I've been looking for an answer for a couple of hours and right when I sat down at the computer again to try my "plan" - the NEXT post I opened - confirmed it for me! Woooohoooo!

PLEASE HELP! TRIED RESETING STILL DOESN'T WORK!

Heyy.. I tied reseting my ipod (pressing menu+middle button) but it still won't turn on at all.. i tied moving the hold button and i tried setting it on a flat surface and reseting it. Nothing worked. I am sure that it ran out of batteries but I don't understand why it won't turn on.

Without any power, it can't turn on. Have you plugged it in & waited a little while for it to build a charge?

Please help how to recover lost photos on 5S without backup

The initial update to iOS 8 failed and I used iTools to download the latest 8.0.2. Now my 5S goes to normal but all of the things were deleted after upgrade, especially the photos. I have to show the prototypes to my client tomorrow! How can I get the photos back ??? It's urgent! Please help !

It's sad to hear that, @Nrkpeomva1. Backup is always recommended with iOS device either with iTunes or iCloud. Then you can easily restore your lost files when needed. I am not 100% sure the following method works for you, at least you can give it a try. As I have used that method to retrive my deleted photos and ebooks successfully. A list of brief steps, more details please refer to this blog post:
Connect your iPhone to a PC or Mac (preferred).
Scan your iPhone disk with that app. Wait about an half hour for scanning.
Preview the files the app retrieved and select a local disk to store them.
Leave your comment here if there was any issue about that.

Some of these won't apply to your situation.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

That's because you can't delete it directly from the phone.
Since you synced not imported those pictures to your iphone using iTunes, you will need to do the opposite and unsync the pictures, in order to remove it from your phone.

I put a folder on my Mac desktop with 95 photos in it. I then went to the i-pod "Photos" screen and clicked to sync photos and selected the folder and clicked "apply". It copied all 95 photos to my i-pod 30 gb. 90 percent of them are in order but there are 5 or 6 of the early photos that are late in the list and out of order. I saw where someone said to number them 0001, 0002, etc. (I had themm numbers 1.JPG, 2.JPG, 3.JPG. I went thru and numbers them 0001.JPG, 0002.JPG, etc. Now when I go to I-Pod and click on "Photos" and sync, then select the folder and click apply I get a "blip" and the drop down reverts back to i-photo and nothing happens. How do I resync this so I can get my photos in order? I can't even see any way to get rid of the old photos. I went into my Pictures folder and noticed an i-pod cache folder on there so thought maybe if I delete that it will resync this, but it didn't and now that is gone. How can I get this to get reput on my ipod in the correct order. Please don't advise me to erase my i-pod, I have 2000 songs on there that are fine and takes 2-1/2 hours to copy. I so appreciate any help I can get. THANKS! Gary

CAN'T BELIEVE NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS...18 People have viewed this post and still no answers??? Is this some kind of problem with the i-pod or does no one put pictures on their i-pod? I somehow finally got all the pictures off my i-pod, just kept deleting all the files I could find and something deleted them. Now I am have renamed everything 0001.JPG, 0002, JPG etc., but cannot put on the same way I did before. I renamed the file to see if that helped but didn't. How do I put pictures on my ipod and keep them in order??????? The help section says you click some optios button, which I don't have. I go to the Photos tab, click on sync, slick on "I-Photo" drop down and select the folder marked Gary's Pix, click "Apply" (this is how I got them on their the first time) and now it does nothing. The first time you could see if downloading the pix in the bar at the top like w/songs. Now nothing, the drop down reverts to "I-photo" and nothing happens. I would appreciate any help at all before I throw this worthless thing in the trash! Thanks, just frustrated. I really don't understand why everyone thinks these things are so great. Surely someone can make a machine that works and really make some dough on these contraptions because Apple can't seem to make something that works for the average person anyways. Help with titles in themes & photo clips jumping

Hi all - working on a project and can't figure two things out! One, my main opening that I did in the themes opening I want to say a longer title than it will let me. I can type it in under title and it lets me but it only show three words when it plays - can't figure it out? Second, I have about 50 photo clips and 4 of them are jumping mid-play. Only in the timeline setting. When I play them individually they are fine. They jump mid-way thru the play and the transitions are fine. Only 4 out of 50 doesn't make sense? Anyone know? Thanks!!

I've just gone and read that reference.
No, I've tried extracting the audio and re-doing the title, but when I burn the DVD (and you know how long that takes) I find on playback I have these grating noises.
I suppose I should be grateful they are only brief and affect only a few of the many titles.

I am not sure what Photoshop 3 edition is. The thing changing is that the online sharing and storage found at Photoshop.com will be migrating to Revel and then closing. The jpg files will be automatically copied into Revel. If you want to archive your photoshop.com files, see the link below. You can download and install our media downloader and save your files to your computer. Revel is the new sharing and storage location for photos. You can share, view, upload, and download files in Revel.

Unfortunately that's not possible in the current version of photos.

Please help! Trying to load photo gallery in iWeb.

Im trying to put the embed code from SV Builder in an html widget in iweb. I have multiple photo galleries. Each gallery has the gallery.xml file and the simpleviewer.swf file but iweb is not locating the xml file. Does the path that svbuilder builds (simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=gallery.xml) have to be changed?
