Please help!: adding second IP to NIC in windows to access remote DB
We have an old database server that has one last remaining connection to another database, and we need to get this connection working on our new server. There is an IP exception on the target database to allow connections from the IP of our old server.
I've shutdown the old server temporarily to release the IP. On the new server, I've added the old IP to the tnsnames.ora file and the listener.ora file. I've stopped and restarted the listener on the new server. I'm able to ping both IP's of the new server. The db_link to the target database has been created as well. (months ago if that matters, that's when we found out about the IP exception)
What am I missing here? How do I tell sqlplus to query a remote database using a specific IP? (IP from the client side)
How is this a "sql and pl/sql" question?

I have searched and not found an up to date understandable answer as how
to join 2 working portable same (apple ID) user iTunes folders into one itunes folder
while above all else preserving hand edited Abum Artwork and hand edited tags.
( It was many hours of hand edited added Album Artwork and editing of tags )
Situation is Windows 7 ( 64 bit ) with current iTunes installed ( 2014-03-17 )
The hard drive crashed and the old \iTunes folder and all old contents have been copied and backed up.
The windows 7 64 bit and latest iTunes 64 bit has been re-installed cleanly ( no old music added )
Music from the iTunes cloud was then added/downloaded into iTunes
Now \itunes has 40 gig of music available to play.
Now I want to join the currently installed working \itunes folder ( 40 gig of music )
with the old saved \itunes folder ( 100 gig of music ) into just one \iTunes folder
with preserving the current Album Artwork and editing of "tags" of both folders.
I have seen previous answers that use words like " consolidate " , " export / import ",
" merge " , " apple home sharing " , " use explorer to copy ..." , ect
none of which mentioned if the current Album Artwork
or tags survive unchanged from their current "specially edited" status.
I know their may be the ineviatable "duplicates", but there seems
to be several ways to handle them. ( If you know the best way to
prevent or remove duplicates in this situation with joining two
iTunes folders in Windows please include that information also ).
Please provide an explanation of how to join these 2 iTunes folders
in Windows 7 into one \iTunes folder while preserving Album Artwork and tags.Mike, thanks for the response. I will try this. I'll have to dig around here too, bc I want to know more about how I can import a windows xml file (while replacing the drive paths) and it creating a seperate itunes library with the pointers on the mac. Essentially, I have 2 libraries and there may not be a way around this with a windows machine and a mac - ive read plenty on Choose library on open, and mac to mac, windows to windows.
I also need to know more about what is getting stored in the album art folders. I believe it seems that when you select all, and copy the image in the artwork get info page its actually embedding these images in the files themselves, but if you paste into the left bottom artwork display pane its just adding where?? If I deleted the contents of this folder what would happen, should I not be copying this content?
If I update the images on the mac and swap out the drive paths and move the external drive back to the windows box, will i lose any updates I did while on the mac?

Need help adding second laptop to network
Please help. I am so frustrated. I setup our new gateway wirelessly using the WRT160N router. Had to call the help line and they helped me go online and configure the router settings. Now I am trying to add a second older laptop (HP Pavilion ZE4400). When I use the disc to install the router info, it stops after it says waiting for the router. Then I get an error message telling me to restore the router to it's default settings. I don't want to undo all that I did with support on the phone. It took forever. Why can I not install the router software on the HP? Can someone help me fix this problem?

For XP...Click on Start and goto the Control Panel and double click on Network Connections, Right click on the Wireless Network Connection and click on View Available Wireless Networks and select your Wireless Network and click Connect...Now it will give you the opportunity to put the network/wep key, make sure you enter the correct network key and confirm it...It will connect.
For Vista...Click Start >> Control Panel >> Network and Sharing Center >>Click on Connect to a Network and select your Wireless Network and click Connect, it should ask for your Network Key/Password, enter the correct password/network key and click Connect...It should connect...Once you are connected you should restart the computer, it should connect to Internet... -

Can someone PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! I am at my wits end with this. I have an Iphone 3GS with softare 3.1.3 . I am trying to back up my contacts/calendar/apps so I can download the newer software version 5 and so I can get a new Iphone 4S.
As I have window 7, when I sync my device. It chooses to sync Contacts to 'Windows Contacts' and Calendar to 'Outlook' and Bookmarks to 'Internet Explorer' and Notes to 'Outlook'
I do not use Outlook but have it on this laptop. However when I looked at it to find my iphone calendar and notes, they are not there.
Also I cannot locate my Contacts anywhere on my laptop
They are not in Users/(username)/ apps
as I dont have a folder under user name that is called Apps!
Any help would be much appreciated from anyone

Please help - 3 second animated buttons
Hey all,
I am using Flash CS3 to create a button for a site I am building in Dreamweaver CS4.
The button I am trying to create looks like a volume knob on a guitar amp. I need it to
start at zero and then "turn up to 10" over a period of 3 seconds when the user hovers over
it. It also needs to play a sound on mouse over.
I have created seperate images in photoshop for the knob pointing at each increment 1-10. I
added these to a new Flash doc on separate layers. However I cannot figure out how to get it
set in a button. I tried both the layers version and exporting it as a movie and creating a
movie button.
I have created simple buttons but not one that "plays a longer animation" like this.

So I created a new .fla file as AS3, inserted each image into a frame and applied the stop() command to the first frame:
I then saved it as a Movie (.swf)
Is that correct?
Next steps...Do I then take that exported movie and insert it into a new layer in the original .FLA file and apply the action you outlined in your post?

Hello Apple users, I'm the System Administrator in a Government printing press and we are using eMacs and MacPro, there was this thunder storm and blown all the network ports and the management bought DM9601 USB NIc network adapters to be used before finding other altenatives but they are not working on the OS X. What should i do? Is there any driver for it or any special configuration on the Mac Os X 10.4 and 10.5? Need your urgent help. Thanks

Help adding second Wi-Fi network on same AP
I am looking for assistance in trying to setup a second wireless network so we would have two SSID’s (one for public and one for private users).
Our network is setup with native VLAN1 for wired computers and VLAN107 for wireless computers and everything is working great. I’m trying to add VLAN110 as the additional wireless network.
We are using a Cisco WLC2112 and 12 Cisco LAP1131 access points for the wireless network.
The wired network us using Cisco 3500 series POE switches and a Cisco 1800 series router.
The ports on the switch that connect to the AP’s are configured as follows:
switchport access vlan 107
switchport mode access
spanning-tree portfast
I’m having trouble getting my head around how to setup the second wireless network on its own VLAN (VLAN110), while still using the existing access points. I have added the additional wireless network on the WLC2112, have setup a DHCP server for the new VLAN, but it’s getting an IP address from the same scope as VLAN107.
Where do I configure the new VLAN information on the wireless controller?
Should the ports on the switch that are connected to the AP’s be changed to trunk ports to accommodate both VLANs?

1.You need to create a dynamic interface on WLC.
Controller>Interface> click on New, enter interface(e.g. private) and Vlan ID:110 and apply.
Interface >edit page will appears, then u can enter network , mask and DHCP server address...etc.
2. Now you need to create a WLAN.
WLAN> create New, enter profile name , ssid and Wlan ID here then clcik on apply WLAN>edit page will appear.
Staus should be enable
Choose the right dynamic interface , which we created in step 1.
Chosse specifiy Security and other feature.
3.Configure swicth port for vlan 107 , 110 where WLC is connected.
I hope AP are in same network as your Management interafce of WLC.

I seem to have this problem continuously, and have previously worked around it, but it's giving me the s**ts.
Here's the scenario- I want to add text OVER a clip, not on black.
Sounds simple right?
NOPE! I do the preview- yup it's over the clip.
I click add, or drag it, or click the tick in the preview.
As it's rendering- yup, shows it over the clip.
But as soon as it STOPS- all of a sudden it's just text on black.
I've tried using different sorts of titles (from music to subtitles, everything) but the exact same thing happens- preview is fine, as it renders it looks fine, but it ends up being text on black. (Yes, I have 'on black' unchecked).
I also tried adding it in different ways, ie adding at the playhead or dragging it in- no difference.
Am I missing something vitally obvious here? How can I get my text OVER the clip?Hi
a. to add text - the text tool has to know where. Just placing playhead will not
work. The text tools orients after clip cuts. You need to do a cut where the text
is supposed to start.
b. I guess that deleting pref file might get iMovie to behave.
Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows:
Many possible origins. Most common:
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disc if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
• Hard disc is untidy: Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disc (Apple Disc Util tool)
• Delete iMovie pref file - or rather start a new user/account - log into this and re-try
• Third party plug-ins that doesn't work OK
• Program miss-match: iMovie 5.0.2, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4 - is OK
iMovie pref file resides: Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences
and is named: com.apple.iMovie.plist
While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this file out to desk-top.
Now restart iMovie.

Thanks for your help.Are you sure that you want 6i R2? R2 as I remember is pretty buggy. You really ought to upgrade to at least 6i R4.11. Given that you are already on 6i, this is a fairly painless upgrade.
And the only reason that I wouldn't go ahead and upgrade to Designer 10g is if you are still supporting Oracle Forms in client/server mode. -
