***??? For Example, On My iPod The Song Will Be "Walk It Out", But The Album Artwork Will Show "Green Day's" Album Artwork??? iTunes Shows The Correct Album Artwork, How Do I Fix This??? The Problem Started Immediately After I Installed The New Version of iTunes, Which Absolutely ***...Causing Me To Drink Heavily;~) After Countless Hours Invested, I Finally Figured Out How To Play Videos. I'd Appreciate Any Advice And Thank You In Advance!!!

This happened to me when I first installed iTunes 7 also, and the fix is pretty easy. Open iTunes and connect your iPod, under the music tab, uncheck the box that says "Display album artwork on your iPod" and click apply. Eject and reconnect your iPod. Recheck that same box and click apply. iTunes will now copy your album artwork to your iPod. This can take a few minutes. Hopefully, everything will appear correctly.

Please Help, Album Artworks

When I changed my ablum artworks with my songs in my 3rd generation iPod nano... the new pictures would show up while the songs were played on iTunes. However, after disconnecting my iPod from my computer, some album artworks would show up as an entirely black rectangle on my iPod. (Both when I played the songs and when I saw them while going through the "cover flow") Please help! Thanks

i have a 64gb 4S with 7699 mp3's (50GB) and mainly embedded album art and that took about 30-40 mins to sync so you have some other major issues apart from album art.
i have had a number of users with this issue before and it usualy starts as a result of an abortive sync usually the device gets unplugged whilst its syncing corrupting the database on the device.
the artwork is either embedded into the mp3 or held in a database in iTunes so if you can see it in iTunes but it does not show on the device I would restore and 'setup as a new phone' then add in my apps and music again and re-enter my e-mail settings etc.
make sure any data is off first.
this will work unless the itunes database is corrupt.

In Music, sometimes an album that has more than one artist, only one shows up, how do I get them all that are all on the album to play in sequence when I select that album?

I can't figure out why, on my ipod touch in Music, when I select some albums that have more than one artist, the whole album doesn't come up to play all together. This happens in some compilations, and only ne song shows up from each artist on the album. Or like on an artist's album that has someone else singing with her. I get that they are on the same line as an artist, but the album is an album, and when you play an album, the whole thing should play - right? Thanks for your help!

Generally all you need do is give tracks from the same album a common Album Artist. See Grouping tracks into albums. The images need an update but the basic info. still holds.

Please help! - Artwork for podcast doesn't show up in iTunes store.

Hi there - My artwork doesn't show up in the iTunes store.
Artwork shows up fine in the downloaded episodes, but in the store, only the "plain" podcast icon shows up. It's been nearly a week.
-I published my feed with Feeder and host it on my site
-Feedburner pulls it in
-I submitted it myself in iTunes (using the feedburner feed-need it for stats)
-I have been approved, and people have started subscribing.
-Feed has been vetted, and appears to be ok.

The image is correctly referenced in the feed and there is an image at that URL. Some people have found that it takes some time for the image to appear, even after the podcast itself has been approved and appeared in the Store. so I should give it another few days.

HELP - Album artwork for songs jumbled up!!!

I took so much time getting album artwork for each of 2000 songs in iTunes expecting them to transfer to 5th Generation iPod and was soooo disappointed when they came up jumbled. I know I'm anal but I like the look!!! The videos come out OK, it's just the tunes.
My iPod is up to date with latest software. Any others with the same problem and some possible solutions? I have completely erased all songs/videos on the iPod and done an Automatic Update from iTunes and they still come up jumbled. I have tried to pick them out one at a time and getting very frustrated.

Does the album art show-up correctly for each song in the lower left-hand corner of the iTunes window on your computer? Did you drag the art to that window to add it, or did add it through the tab under Get Info?

Get Album Artwork doesn't recognize mainstream artists

I ripped my mp3 collection from Audiograbber using Freedb (a free database for album info) and put them onto an external hard drive. I've added the folder to my iTunes music library, but when I try to get album artwork, it says "Could not get artwork for some albums." and lists albums from artists like Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin (48 in total). When I actually go look at each file, it has enough tag information to find the album (title - "Back in the Saddle", artist - "Aerosmith", album - "Rocks", genre - "Hard Rock"... everything it needs).
What about the file is iTunes not recognizing? Audiograbber uses ID3 tags.

So if the album isn't available in the iTunes store, it's not recognized? That's ridiculous. That's like saying if I don't buy through iTunes, I shouldn't use iTunes to sync my music to my iPod. That sounds like Apple again following only wherever the dollar goes.
Windows Media Player uses All Music Guide, which stores everything whether you can buy it through anybody or not. Apple makes great devices, but they're continually pushing me away from them because they put the almighty dollar first and me second. Hopefully Google will integrate their online music service and I won't have to worry about whether an album I can buy just about anywhere won't be recognized by Apple's proprietary dollar-munching service.

Album artwork imports into iTunes, but artist tags do not

After importing my music from an external hard drive backup, I have a problem with ~5% of my music. The songs are listed in iTunes as "Unknown Artist" and "Unknown Album". However, if I find the file within my iTunes folder, all of the artist information tags are listed if I use "Get Info" --> "More Info" in the Finder. Back in iTunes, the album artwork is there, but the tags are missing. These are for .m4a, Apple MPEG-4 audio files. How can I get iTunes to recognize the tags that are obviousy still present in the file?
There are too many songs like this to relabel the, realistically.
I have tried deleting the songs from my library and re-importing them into iTunes, but this does not fix the problem. I cannot find any logic as to which songs this affects.

This same thing happened to me, so I plugged my iphone into the computer and I unchecked all the songs so it deleted from my phone and then i rechecked sync music back to the phone and all the album artwork were there.

Jpeg looks different than actual Image in Photoshop (saving Issues)

My image in photoshop has thin lines, but when I save it, the jpeg shows the image with very thick dark lines, looking not like the image in photoshop. Why does it do this? How can I stop PS from doing this to my image? I want the image to look as it does in Photoshop when I save it as a Jpeg.
This is in Photoshop CS4
As it should be (using the snipping tool (I can't use the snipping tool as my only option, because it will only capture the size as it is on the screen, not the actual dimensions in Photoshop)
Saved as a Jpeg; the lines are thicker, and now there is little variation in line weight

Just one comment... Your lines in your screen grab are NOT thinner, they are simply a good bit lighter.
You should try to use the proper terminology, because you will end up realizing, when C.Pfaffenbichler helps you get to the bottom of your problem, that you likely are experiencing a gamma/color-management issue causing your pixels to be displayed far more lightly in one case than another.
Besides your color settings in Photoshop, it will also be helpful to know what color profile is associated with your monitor at the operating system level.

P.S., I don't know what result you're going for, but the JPEG with the darker lines looks a lot better on a calibrated display. The screen grab seems too light.

PDF font viewed Evince different than actual PDF font?

The title says it all. I'm getting a very strange girly font (no offense, but the i's are dotted with hearts) being rendered for all the text on the PDF. Some PDFs that I view in Evince retain their original font. I have no idea why this is happening, and neither do I have this font on my computer. I am so definitely sure about that. Does anyone have ideas?
I'm using Gnome3 if that matters any.

Have you tried a different pdf viewer? Gimp or inkscape can view pdf files or pages. Epdfview is a lightweight, less feature-full alternative to Evince.
It might help to identify the font. You probably have the poppler package installed. If so, you can use 'pdffonts' to list the fonts used in the problem file. The mupdf package includes 'pdfinfo-mupdf' that can also be used to list the fonts used in a pdf-file.

Urgent....please HELP....Different user Multiple submission problem

This is a STRUTS related problem
I have posted earlier about the usage of saveToken() and check isTokenValid(request) method. Because I wanted to make sure that the user doesn't click the "submit" button twice. I managed to achieve that, However what I want is the following:
suppose the user press the "submit" button more than once. The thread that executes the first request still runs, but has no means of providing its response to the browser. Hence, the user may be left with the impression that the transaction did not complete, while in reality, it may have successfully completed.
So I would like to know if there can be a complete solution that prevents duplicate submission and still ensures the display of a response that represents the original request's outcome.

I have indeed, and downloaded their example and I ran it on my local app server, it DOESN"T claim to do what it is supposed to do, I clicke on the "OK" button more than once, and the second request just brings me to an empty page, because the ActionForward object returns NULL.
So if anyone, has solved this problem before, please do let me know...

Hi you have a very high noise level which is what is causing your low speed i suggest you try these first Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

Display Prompt Different than actual parameter

I would like to present the user a different display prompt value. For example:
Query: Select dept_name, dept_id from departments
I want my prompt list to display Dept_name but when the user selects the dept_name XMLP should pass the dept_id to the next query.

The LOV based on queries is wired to expect either:
1 value, presented to user and passed or
2 values, first always presented and second passed
You can not pass more than one value to the query.
You could get around this by having a hidden parameter that takes a value from the first LOV as an input and passes a value to the query.

Preview is different than actual print

Hi,
I am facing a problem in smartforms.In my form there is one date field in the print previem it is displaying as dd/mm/yyyy.But if you take the print it is showing as mm.dd.yyyy.
Can any one clarify why it is displaying like that.

Please help, problems with two different ipods

Both my ipod and my sister's ipod are experiencing problems. Both ipod's are 4th gen with click wheel.
My ipod isn't being recognized by itunes (I have the latest version) and only once in awhile will my computer recognize my ipod. I get a file showing my calender, notes, etc,.. I can't click on any of them though. When I connect my ipod to the usb cord and connect the cord to the computer, the ipod only just restart's itself.
My sister's ipod does absolutely nothing except show the apple logo and then shut off. Earlier today it was displaying the exclamation mark and the folder icon and it once displayed the sad ipod icon.
Does anyone here know what the problem is with these two ipod's and if there is a way that I can fix them?

Music App.....How to stop /prevent the image /photo of the artist being uploaded and presented in the artist view?
BTB: What a disaster the s/w 7.0 Music App is from the old App on my s/w 5.0 version!!!

Likely from GraceNotes of similar online resource. It is likely not stored in iTunes on the computer at all.

And if you are viewing an album, unless the image is not available, you get an album cover. If you are viewing in artist view, then you are not looking at an album. Why would it present an album cover?
