Have you read the AppleWorks Help documents that came with the application? To access them, open AppleWorks, then go to the Help menu. For the two projects you list, the Draw environment seems the best choice tool to use.
If your leaflet is a trifold brochure, you'll find an example brochure (that you can base yours on) in the Templates section of Starting Points. Some of the other templates in this section may also give you ideas about the cards or about other forms of leaflets.
The graphics included in AW's Clippings library don't include a borders section, and most of the clippings are a bit dated.
Although AppleWorks is fine for simple brochures and cards, you may find that Pages, part of iWork is more flexible and easier to work with for this purpose. One potential problem there is that iWork may be in line for an upgrade next month (the last two Januarys have both seen full version upgrades to iWork). While that won't make the current version obsolete, the new one will likely include more capabilities and some improved features.
As for online tutorials, a search for "AppleWorks tutorial" (with or without the quotes) will bring up quite a few. Most, though, seem aimed at a school setting, and the majority are strongest on the word processor module.

Thank you for the tip on exporting by media browser (large) from imovie. But of course, if it's not one thing it's another. Now that I figured how to export a large file from imovie, I have an idvd issue. I followed the instructions for burning from idvd and changing the encoding to professional quality and the burn speed to x4, but I am receiving an error that states the following,
Your project exceeds the maximum content duration. To burn your DVD, change the encoder setting in the Project Info window.
Project:
- total project duration: 79:04 minutes
- total project capacity: 4.327 GB (max. available: 4.172 GB)
Menus:
- number of menus in project: 1 menus
- total menu duration: 0:39 minutes
- total menu capacity: 37.370 MB
Movies:
- total movies duration: 78:25 minutes
- total movies capacity: 4.291 GB
I have searched in the idvd forum for similar issues and I am stumped at this point. I have tried deleting the encoding assets and re launching idvd with the changed preferences, and still the same error. I know you mentioned something about free hard drive space available, and I have very little left. 4GB to be exact due to massive hours of non-edited footage. I am not sure if this is why, but I do not recall ever needing free space to burn memory onto a separate dvd. I would be more than happy if I am wrong, and it would be a quick fix. Otherwise, the technical nightmare continues. It's all a learning process and your expertise is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. -

i bought a factory unlocked iphone 4s. it was working fine but when i upgraded it to iOS 5.1 it gave me "no sim" message.
so i tried then to restore the iphone using itunes but it got worse it is giving me now "ICCID: unknown" message please help. any ideas?Please define "factory unlocked". The term is basically meaningless. iPhones are sold either carrier locked or unlocked. Some carriers will unlock them after a period of time upon meeting certain requirements and paying a fee.
There are lots of places that will "factory unlock" an iPhone. This basically translates to "hack". This can cause permanent damage to the phone. Best case scenario is these phones will re-lock to the original carrier on an update or restore. Worst case it they become expensive bricks.
ICCID unknown indicates a critical failure. There is no way to resolve this other than taking it in to Apple and getting the phone replaced. It's very possible that the phone was hacked and attempting to update has now killed it.

Hi My name is Wallace Smith. I am a soldier in christ's army and really need some help from anyone who can guide me or point me in the right direction. I am currently working on several projects with a ministry ive been involved with for several years called Iron Mens Ministry. www.ironmensministry.com. I was approached about building an apparel store where men can buy there apparel online with convinience all prociets go back into the ministry. Ive chosen godaddy.com to host the site and purchased the quick shopping cart software. Im limited to 20 products, but thats ok for now. I am just about to finish that project. it seems there were alot of technicalities I had to go through like mechant accounts, leasing the domain, adding products etc. While doing all this John Lloyd and I (me) came up with an idea to reach even more men through the internet with an Iron Men App. This app will let a person join ironmen ministries, have access to daily devotionals, look through a photo album of events, watch training videos, and of course link back to the store to get our really cool stuff, and much more. My ultimate goal is to have this app done for the big mans breakfast (if you went to the site I ealier mentioned and watched the video) you will know how big of a deal this is. Last year we had 2000+ men and a guest speaker (A.C. Green) this year we are expecting 4000+ men. It would be nice to announce it then. Eventually we would like to build our own site and get away from template design (cloverleaf), although this is doing fine for now eventually we will need Have our own site and design. You may ask yourself why me? I asked the same reason, God has put it in my heart to bring men to christ this way. If you have watched any of the video's you will see that this ministry has blown up and has made its way to Texas. We are in California. So in the next few years we could be on the East coast Building an army for God. This ministry has saved my life and Ive seen people's lives transformed and relationships repaired. Issue:
I have SAP BW system and SAP HANA System
SAP BW to SAP HANA connecting through a DB Connection (named HANA)
Whenever I created any Open Hub as Destination like DB Table with the help of DB Connection, table will be created at HANA Schema level ( L_F50800_D )
Executed the Open Hub service without checking DELETING Data from table option
Data loaded with 16 Records from BW to HANA same
Second time again executed from BW to HANA now 32 records came ( it is going to append )
Executed the Open Hub service with checking DELETING Data from table option
Now am getting short Dump DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_KNOWN getting
If checking in SAP BW system tio SAP BW system it is working fine ..
will this option supports through DB Connection or not ?
Please follow the attachemnet along with this discussion and help me to resolve how ?

Please its very important I get his family this Video from my Crackberry phone to a computer disk. I am trying to use Windows DVD Maker with DVD+r disks. Video is of his best friend trying to come to grip with his up coming voyage back to our father's Home (( to politely say it.

Now where is that video stored means on memory card. If yes then there are two ways to get this to your PC
1. Plug out the memoy card from the BB and use a card reader to read the contents of the Card
2. Use desktop manager. Means install the Desktop Mananger. Plug your BB to the PC using cable. Wait for the pc to finish installation. Now Say yes for mas storage. And open the driver mounted to the PC (Go to My Computer to see that drive) and copy th video.
Now to burn it on the DVD. This can be done using various ways
I recomend this time only two softwares fo you
1. Windows Movie Maker
2. Nero
The first one is the builtin software for windows and the second one is very excellent. Because it has many features. I use 9 or later fo these tricks. You must have a DVD writer drive installed on your PC and have a DVD disk either recordale or rewritable.

PowerBook G3 - dead as a dodo! Please help - any suggestions?
My friend hates all things computer.
She bought in 2001 a state-of the art brand new Powerbook G3 (best spec), I think, used it once and put it in the airing cupboard for 6 years!!!!!
She now needs to use it! So out it came and was dead, deader than a dead thing and brought it to me.
I plugged it into the mains - nothing.
Tried the three keys (ALT CONTRL DELETE - apple version) and nothing
Tried PRAM reset thingy
Took out battery tried all of the above
Tried reset key
Tried a different battery (one in the box)
Tried all of the above
Nothing, no light, no flicker, no alarm, nothing,.......
Now I wondered whether it needed a PRAM Battery? I saw one mentioned on Google. Could this be the problem? Where do I get another?
If we got the thing working, could she upgrade it to OSX? It is currently not running OS9.
What else can you think of that I could do to this dodo?

What often happens when a powerbook is stored for any length of time is the power manager becomes corrupted and a normal power manager reset will not correct the issue. There is a simple fix, however.
- Remove the main battery, optical drive module, and disconnect the power adapter. Place a support behind the display so the 'book does not tip backwards.
- Lift off the keyboard and lay it face down on the palm rest; do not disconnect the keyboard ribbon cable.
- You will see two round, brown batteries in a black case between the HD and palm rest...these are the internal rechargeable backup batteries a.k.a. PRAM batteries. You will also see a red/white/black pigtail wire running from these batteries to the logic board. With a pair of needlenose pliers, carefully disconnect this wire from the logic board (pull up on the white connector).
- Now connect just the power adapter and try starting up; if successful, press/hold the power button until it shuts down. Remove the power adapter, reconnect the wire, then plug in the power adapter and try starting again. If no start, disconnect the PRAM batteries and leave disconnected until you get a replacement; the batteries have failed and probably have an internal short which is preventing startup. You can reassemble the 'book at this point and use the powerbook until you get a replacement battery. It will run fine without this battery.
- If the 'book will start with the PRAM batteries reconnected, reassemble the 'book and you should be OK.
After you lift off the keyboard, this is what you will see (enlarge bottom picture):

If the main batteries have been left discharged for 6 years, they will be shot. The PRAM batteries can easily be replaced if needed; they are rechargeable but again, the discharged state may have killed them. You can test them after following these instructions:

Hello I really need your help and I want to thank you in advance for your time!! I need performance tips and tricks for Camera raw 6.6 and Bridge CS5? I have Intel i7 920, with 16GB of RAM which I thought is powerful enough to make developing in Camera RAW smooth as butter but I am not getting that performance. When I slide the settings, it has a delay for the preview and it gets worse if I apply a vignette. I usually open the camera raw file to photoshop and sometimes it does take a considerable amount of time to load. Working on photoshop is great, quick as expected, but Camera RAW makes me cringe.
What tips and tricks would you suggest for performance boost? The best case scenario is to have the preview reflects the changes of the slider without delay. Is this possible?

I found an adobe link on how to optimize lightroom and followed some tips there that are applicable to bridge. The notable setting I tweaked was to change my cache directory to my RAID 0 drive, and increased cached size to the maximum setting. The difference is night and day, and I am extremely happy now. The only thing that still bugs me a little is that there is still a slight delay cropping when the vignette is not set to 0 . I can understand that's a little extreme though and I usually add the vignette at the end anyways.

Hanging up callyes, reg.cgi is intended to be a web service. its URL will depend on where and how you install it, and on your web server.
i suggest looking at your web server logs (especially the error log) to see if there's any information to help you diagnose and debug your installation. you can also use a command line tool like "curl" to try to connect to the web service and see if you can register and look up ids.
for example, if you installed reg.cgi in your web server at www.example.com in the cgi-bin directory, its url might be

using the command line tool might show you an error message that could help you diagnose your problem. the source code for reg.cgi is short and should be pretty self explanatory (it's very basic Python). if you get an error like "<update>false</update>" that means the database insert failed. the most likely cause for that is a bad database location or permission problems on the database files. keep in mind the database files and the directory they live in must be writable by the web server. -

Ok, so here's the update. After many sleepless nights, finally some good news
I removed my Firewire hub and connected only the capture device to the computer. I then did a capture test to the internal memory on the same tapes I had tried before and it worked beautifully. NO BREAK IN CADENCE (I can hardly believe it). Then, I connected only the external memory drive to the working firewire port on my computer. That also worked.
So David, you were right. I think I was overloading my working firewire entrance with the hub. But, I have been told that my computer will not accept a firewire card. So I have decided to capture loads of footage onto my internal with the capture device connected to my computer and then connect my external hard drive to the computer and import these files from the internal. Even though it's more work, it is all I can manage right now (the project cannot afford a new computer...)
