PLEASE HELP! BBM is gone =-(

when i swapped devices the bbm on my new tour was deleted. i have tried to wipe handheld back to factory settings and have had no luck at all getting bbm back. does anyone have any ideas how to get it back?

When you say it was deleted, did you accidentally delete it?
If so, you need to reinstall your entire operating system. Download the device operating system from your carrier (if you need help finding it, let us know who your carrier is and we'll can point you in the right direction) and install it on your computer. Then follow the instructions located here to reinstall the OS on your phone:

Be sure to check BlackBerry Messenger when the option comes up for selecting what to install on your BlackBerry. Also note that in this case, because you are just looking to install BlackBerry Messenger, you can skip step 4 if you like (or ensure that the boxes are not checked). This will just install BlackBerry Messenger rather than doing a full OS reinstall.

First advice is a battery pull restart , do it by removing the battery while your device is powered On wait for a min. then reinsert it back , your device may take a long reboot and after reboot please check again if you're able to access entire chat within BBM.
In problem continues then let us know the exact version of BBM you're having on your BlackBerry .

Please help bbm chat history

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping you can help me. I have been having a conversation with one of my messenger contacts and wanted to check something that was mentioned earlier in the day but was unable to do so. I have history turned on and set to save to my device. I checked the chat history and one part of my conversation seems to be missing whilst the rest is there...this is only the case for this contact as I have full histories for all other contacts. Please can somebody help me with this!

With regard to saving BBM chat history on the Z10:
1. Can saved BBM chat history be searched (other than by manually scrolling through vast amounts of text)?
2. Can saved BBM chat history be transferred, let's say, as a text file, for archiving and searching by some other means / on some other platform?
2.a. I understand that one can "email a BBM chat", but only a handful of the latest lines of a chat are incorporated into an email - not useful if one is looking to copy older excerpts?
2.b. Where is BBM chat history saved? Device? SD card? Is there a directory path that we can follow to access the history?
3. What is the purpose of saving all of this history if it cannot be efficiently accessed / searched / archived / used?

Please Help - Hard Drive Gone - Won't Mount - No AppleCare...

I'm in trouble here..
I was loading a bunch of photos from an external drive to iPhoto and my iMac froze up for a long time.
I couldn't do anything at all - so I finally force-powered down.
When I powered back up - My Hard Drive was gone and Finder will not open.
Other applications in my dock such as web browsers, iTunes etc. seem to be unaffected - I can also access Disk Utility and other Apps through Spotlight, but No sign of my "Macintosh HD".
I ran a "Verify Disk" in Disk Utility - and here's the report it provided:
Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Checking multi-linked files.
Checking Catalog hierarchy.
Checking Extended Attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume information.

---The "Repair Disk" Button in Disk Utility is all grayed out though so I can't run it...
I'm at a loss. I can't afford AppleCare, and they won't help me because I'm just out of my 90 day phone support...
I'm on an Intel Core 2 Duo iMac - the last Glossy White one before the new ones.
I've got the latest version of Tiger.
Any advice would be a Godsend. I'm afraid I may have ruined my iMac.

We usually try to give folks who come here simplified advice that keeps them comfortable troubleshooting and repairing their Macs and won;t raise other issues for them. Command line tools don't usually fall into the simplified category and fsck for Mac OS X Tiger is not recommended by Apple, except as a last resort. It is known to cause other issues.
From the Apple Knowledge Base article that Dale has linked below;
Note: If you're using Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you should use Disk Utility instead of fsck, whenever possible.
If you can successfully start up in Safe Mode or use Disk Utility while started up from a disc, you don't need to use fsck.
IMO, it isn't helpful for you to come along and contradict sound advice from folks who have used the Knowledge Base and are aware of Apple's recommendations because you think that you know better.

I got the Desktop application of story beta awhile back and now that it isnt working i signed onto the free one and half my scripts have just dissappeared. Is there a way i can get them back ?!

Please help! iPhone gone into recovery mode

Hoping someone can help me, getting worried!! I just plugged my iPhone 4s into my Windows computer to update and sync etc as I hadn't for a while. During the updating and backup process, my phone just went into recovery mode, it disappeared from the devices menu and a message box came up saying 'iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.' My phone screen is stuck on the iTunes logo with the usb picture. I have tried restarting my computer, holding down both buttons on the phone etc but it just stays the same....any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

So I have a big Flash CS4 project I've been working on....I opened it today and it's completely blank....However, the .SWF file plays fine, and to exactly the point where I left the project.....what is this???????

I can boot up all the way to the log in on my G4 in OS X and then when I put in my password it goes to the desktop screen, tells my my clock is set to before 1901 and that some programs may behave irratically and then nothing. Just a screen and a mouse. I have tried to Safe Boot. It won't safe boot, I have tried resetting the PRAM, it won't do that either. What the heck is going on?

It's gone and you most likely are not getting it back.
If you had important info on it, you should have made backups so you would not lose the data.

It's gone.
The downside of the 'find my' app is that your device needs to be online, and it is an app that can be defeated within minutes by any thief that knows what they're doing.
Hopefully you've already protected your data, changed passwords etc.
Chances are your iPad has been wiped and sold and it's gone.
You can or should have reported the theft to the police. You might get lucky.

Fireworks 2004 Corrupt file please help

I've spent allot of hours on a particular png document. when
I came to open the file in Fireworks the next day, I go the dreaded
"Could not open the file Unknown file type" message. Huh! Please
help! really not wanting to re-create this file from scratch!.
I have also tried opening the file in other programs that can
open pngs (photoshop, illustrator, freehand etc ) with no avail.

Try deleting the Fireworks Preferences.txt. That will restore
all
program defaults the next time you load FW. If that doesn't
do it, check
for missing or corrupted fonts.

(in the VIEW title on top of screen I go to SIDEBAR, and have history showing. It is on the lest side of screen at all times. Antivirus has a tendency to freeze iTunes sync Operation with iPod Classic, causing a timeout, which corrupt your iPod filesystem, so when iTunes can't read the iPod, it is pointing to this problem. Other causes is when your iPod hardisk is dying, or your battery is dying causing hardisk crashes.
My suggestion.
Connect your iPod to the PC and run chkdsk, to fix any iPod diskerror, then disconnect it, after chkdsk complete.
Disconnect your PC from Internet. (just to make sure no nasties creep into your system while you syncing.
Stop the Antivirus program
Connect your Ipod to the PC
When iTunes Open up, Restore your iPod please, this is for iTunes to map correctly, to fix the corrupted filesystem.
When Restore complete, eject the iPod and reconnect again.
Sync your ipod, preferably manually Manage in small batches and disconnect after every batch, to check that all is well, since you got such a huge library.
When all sync is complete, and iPod disconnected, start back your Antivirus and connect back the Internet.
If this doesn't resolve your problem, then let me know.

I recently have started organising my 'my music' files and deleting folders with more than 3 copies of songs, I have a lot of music 2500 songs and opened up itunes and all music I have imported (not bought) has gone, my music is still on my ipod though but I'm too scared to sync it in case all my music has gone, I still have my original music in 'my music' file but it's not shown up on library as usual PLEASE HELP!

Is there any way I can recover deleted pictures from Camera Roll and iCloud? Please please help me. All of my precious pictures are gone that I can never EVER get back. I dont have any iCloud or Camera Roll backup; and my PC can't download more software.

Hi everyone! I'm in need of extreme help. You see, today, two months ago I went out of the country from the United States of America. I took about 1500 pictures ONLY on my iPod touch. When I returned to the United States to my home, I accidentally deleted a little more than 100 pictures. Then, thinking I could get ALL of the pictures back at once, I restored my iPod touch from an iCloud backup I had a couple of days before. Instead of getting all of my pics back, they all got erased. The pictures that I did delete were deleted from Camera Roll AND Photo Stream (iCloud). Then, I was only able to get about 500 pictures back from iCloud. So about 1000 are still gone. When i did the restore, I thought all my pictures would be there, but they weren't and I couldn't possibly figure out why; because a restore from iTunes or iCloud is supposed to restore your device to the settings of the time you backed up your device. All of my other settings were just the way they were supposed tone for the time being, all except my pictures, which contained not one picture in any folder. So EVERYTHING from Cameta Roll was gone, and only about 500 pictures survived. I kept retoring and restoring, hoping they would come back but unfortunately they didn't. Then one time a restored again, I saw all of them back!! But then, within a blink of an eye, they disappeared as soon as I tapped on one picture. Then, I knew they were still in reach, but I just had to find them. Where could those 1000 pictures go? I looked up how to recover deleted photos, but I have to install a software. My computer CANNOT possibly take anymore software on it, my PC is very sensitive and I cannot delete anything off of it. Please please help me. What can I do to get my pictures back? They are memories that I can never EVER EVER get back. Thank you so much.

SOMETHING GONE AWRY WITH A BUNCH OF GIFS ON MY PAGE. PLEASE HELP ME.

Please, this is a situation which has me nervous. A friend sent me one of those funny GIF things. It is about six different cat faces and the cats move in different ways depending on what kind of music it is.
I tried to get these GIFs onto my iWeb webpages. I had a difficult time, published one cat face and saw it on Safari on my website. It was a cat with a head bouncing to be bop music. Then I tried to upload all the other cat heads. I botched the job because it ended up with about six of them piling up on each other. Anyhow, I had a bunch of these square windows of cat faces with different kinds of earphones and I thought to myself, "Heh, wouldn't it be funny to see what THAT looks like on a webpage," and I hit the publish button.
As i could see the progres bar advancing I got to thinking how this could muck up my website (I am a neophyte), so I hit the Cancel button. After that, I deleted the page upon which all those GIFs of cats faces bobbing up and down had been placed. I thought that that was the end of it.
Then I went to my email to do something else. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I could see movement and I realized that it was that notification saying that my page had been published. SO apparently I had not cancelled that page after all. I clicked onto the Visit Me Now button and saw up in the Navbar, a page titled BLANK. The page had bobbing cat head GIFs strewn all over it and I panicked. I closed Safari, went to iWeb to see if I could really get rid of those cat GIFs.
The bottomest line is that I had already deleted that page! How would the cats still be dancing on that blank page if I deleted it? I checked all my other pages and they are OK. How on earth could those dancing cat GIFs be bouncing around on my Safari website when they are nowhere to be found on my iWeb pages?
Please, help me figure this out because I am not comfortable knowing that a whole bunch of GIFs are on my Safari website, maybe screwing everything up by whatever GIFs might be able to do if there were enough of them on a page. Sort of like overload, too any appliances plugged into the wall, etc.
I am nervous, and although this could seem funny on the outside, here in my place it is nerve wracking.

All right. The cat GIFs are gone now from my website. I had earlier hit the Clear cache button, but apparently I had to hit it about 10 more times plus go to sites outside of the website. I left to do something else and now that I checked my website on Safari, that Blank Page is not there and the GIFs are gone.
I'm glad that's over.
