Please help: Button settings Tascam FireOne with Logic.
I am a new Logic Pro 8 user and have bought a Tascam FireOne interface.
I have a problem, hopefully anyone can help me...
I can't set the Tascam buttons, Logic can't find the Tascam FireOne.
Does anyone know what I should do?
(by buttons I mean the control pad and the rec. and play button etc.).

M buttons are never flashing in blue, but in grey, and if they are flashing in grey, *there is something soloed.* Really. It could be your Prelisten channel strip or the Click channel strip. they are only visible in the Mixer when the All button is active, or you can also see them in the *Mixer layer* in the Environment.
*Grey flashing M buttons mean something is soloed.* Period. The only way you can convince me that nothing is soloed is by presenting a screenshot of the complete (Environment) mixer without any soloed channel strip. Also, I'ld advise you to update to 10.6.4 and NOT 6.5, there seem to be all sorts of trouble with USB in 10.6.5. 6.4 seems much stabler so far.

i have to upload video from my hewlett packard t200 camcorder to my mac. but mac won't recognize the camcorder files. i even bought flip4mac by tele stream which so far is useless. please help me use my camcorder with my iMac os mountain lion 10.8.2
i tried to get the installation disc for the camcorder but mac wont' recognize it becaue it is windows based i guess.
i just bought the camcorder a few months ago and when my computer crashed thought i'm finally getting a mac...it's been a costly venture which has resulted in more frustration than before my pc.
now the things i want to use with my mac that i thought would be even simpler...are not even useable...

You will have to transfer the files via the Finder.
Get a free copy of MPEG Streamclip and convert them to QuickTime .mov using the H.264 codec if you are presumably editing in iMovie.
Note that your list of video codecs won't look like mine as I have Final Cut Pro, but H.264 is definitely an option for you. -

if require the new itunes11.1.X
if you already have that and it's windows then uninstall itunes
use regEdit you can type that in run or the likes and search and delete all hits you get on itunes
then reboot windows and install itunes again -

My PC is not getting authorized & I am not able to sync my I pad with my PC any more nor Im able to install any app. I recently reinstalled my windows. Please help. I tried authorizing with my ID but it still shows the message computer is no longer authorized.

PLEASE help me, i fed up with this E71 !
I am suffering from some problems some of them i solved and other still in my Nokia E71:
1. I downloaded and successfully installed the software (IM for nokia - chat on the go) from OVI store. Everything is ok but there is a major problem, when i sign in windows live messenger it gives me the following message "nokia messaging subscription is required to activate the services you have selected"
I know my nokia messaging account but the software does not give me the chance to even enter the user name and the password it just gives me this message and i have no options. I do not know what does this software want me to do. i also saw this problem before raised by many persons. It is purely nokia's problem and they should have the solution.
p.s. Attached snapshots from diff. steps of the program startup till getting the message.
2. I have finished successfully the setup of my work email settings (pop3 email). the email is actually working it sends and it receives emails but only when i synchronize it manually, it does not synchronize automatically every now and then like we have in windows outlook. so it is useless like that. i looked into all the setting of the synchronization and nothing looks unusual or strange.
I fed up really with this problem i kept trying to solve it for days.
Please help me working with an email on the mobile without automatic sync. is really terrible.

Sync while roaming: Always sync.

I also was want to register with my nokia account that sends you the software updates and latest news in SMSs, i registered and everything is fine but they said that a confirmation SMS will be sent to you and contains the verification number for you mobile phone number to complete the registeration provess, i did not get that SMS till now after several days from registeration. !
My software is till the latest version but really i do not know why it is so complicated !

URGENT PLEASE HELP: iTunes Will Play Songs With No Sound.
Hello all. I recently did the following and significantly screwed up my iTunes:
-Tried to move my directory to an external hard drive.
-This didn't work, so I then had to reload my iTunes.
-I did this by doing the standard copying the .xml library file to the desktop, deleting the old library files and importing the new .xml into the iTunes.
-However, I now have music in my iTunes, but when I click on files, they'll play but with no sound. No exclamation point comes up next to them to signal they're missing, but just no sound.
-Tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the latest iTunes. Still nothing.
I also tried dragging a random song into iTunes to see whether it was just a directory mix-up still, but no dice. Right now, the directory for my iTunes is Macintosh HD:Users:name:Music:iTunes:iTunes Music.
Please help!!!!Well, that could be, but before thinking of an hardware issue, first check all possible software settings.
Try this:
In System Preferences>Sound there are two volume sliders.
Set the Output volume about halfway. Now move the Alert volume slider just a little bit. This normally will invoke the Mac to play the selected alert sound.
Still no sound?
Can you connect a headphone to the PB?
If yes, does it have sound?

Have you tried increasing the volume when the earphones are unplugged). I'm asking just because many users don't realize that the iPhone keeps two separate settings, one for plug output, one for built-in speakers. -

I have an iPhone 5 and am stuck on a "Searching..." bar where I should have either 3G or the Wi-Fi signal. This has been stuck like this all day, and I haven't been able to send/receive any text messages. I also can't go onto the Internet. Please help.
Try taking out your sim card (if you have a GSM iPhone) and putting it back in. If that doesn't work do a restart by holding down the lock and home buttons simulatneously until you see the Apple logo come back on the screen. If that doesn't work then I suggest doing a Restore of your phone through iTunes.
If all else fails, talk with your carrier, it's probably an issue with them at that point. Good luck! -

Hi i have a H55M-E33 board with a Intel Corei 3 550 Cpu
I have a ATI HD 5770 installed and everything works fine i am in windows as i post this but the problem is I want to remove the ATI card and use the integrated graphics on the Corei 3 550
so I reboot the PC and go into the bios and select onboard graphics as my default selection then shut down the PC
i then removed the ATI HD 5770 and hooked up a VGA to the back of the motherboard and rebooted I can hear the beep and i can see My HD lights flashing like its booting into windows but my monitor says NO signal
I then shut it down and removed the vga cable and use just a HDMI cable and still no signal
What in the world is going on ?
the first day i setup this pc It worked and the integrated graphics worked fine but after i wanted to remove this ATI HD 5770 now the integrated graphics will not boot up
im going to a smaller case for a DVR setup so i cant use this ATI anymore

Bios version is the latest 1.A released on 2011-01-26Some of the CMOS nonvolatile memory chips are really difficult to clear. Try doing a clear CMOS as follows:
1. Pull the power cord or turn of the rear power switch if you have one.
2. Pull out the CMOS battery (it looks like a coin)
3. Push the front power switch several times to clear the power caps
4. Push the clear CMOS button a few times with something like a bent paper clip. Make sure you feel it click and hold it in a few seconds.
5. Replace the CMOS battery - make sure the side with the "+" is facing up
6. Turn on the rear power switch or plug in the power cord.
7. Hit the front power switch.
If this doesn't work, you will at least know it's not a clear CMOS problem. It's actually surprising how many people have to pull the battery before the CMOS will clear.

No sound out of my Tascam 1884 with Logic 8

I recently picked up a Tascam 1884 to use with Logic 8. I have my 1/4" jacks hooked up to my monitors and the 1/L and 2/R outputs on my 1884. I have the "MON MIX" button pushed and "Both" on as well. I've got nothing. I've read other forum posts stating that the MON MIX button is the fix, but it didn't work for me. Is there something in Logic 8 I am missing? Nothing is coming out of the headphones output either. Of course I get sound out of the computer, just nada from my Tascam / monitors. POO!!! Any ideas?

If you follow, exactly, the instructions on the HT2534 page that you posted from when creating a new account (the instructions won't work with existing accounts) then you will get the 'none' option - I tried it earlier today on both my computer's iTunes and iPhone and I got 'none' for new accounts on both. If you don't use those instructions then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used in the store.
