Please Help - Cache Configuration
When using the cache configuration assistant, configuration fails at 96% with
the following message:
"Updating User List

Adding Users to cache failed
Reason: WTE -03501 Error Updating lists of users

ORA - 06512 at "SYS.WTCSYS" line 67
ORA - 06512 at line 1

It appears to be failing while tring to copy the user list from the origin database, to the cache.
I have tried to update the user list manually in cache manager (within DBA Studio) but it fails witht the same error.
Anybody got any ideas????
Any help will be most appreciated.

Hi,
You have to add followings to your cluster configuration as below
<shutdown-listener>
<enabled system-property="tangosol.coherence.shutdownhook">true</enabled>
</shutdown-listener>
Hope this can help you.

Please help me configure a new 8core for FCP
PLEASE HELP A PC GUY MOVE OVER...
I need to configure a new 8-core for FCP mainly. I need to keep the expense reasonable so dont want to spend extra $$$ if i dont have to.
I edit files from many different camera's these days. Mostly weddings & demos.
I want to go with an 8 core either Two 2.26GHz, OR 2.66GHz? Is the 2.2 fast enough with FCP?
How much ram do i need?
Do I need to stripe 2 sata drives together for the video?
Which video card?
Can you recommend any other software/hardware that will help me?
Here is a link to apples spec page:

Welcome to the family. if you are not familiar with the Macintosh operating system, get yourself a book.

Either will work fine.
sarecco wrote:

As much as you want but 8G will be adequate. More might not help significantly.
sarecco wrote:

Depends on the video you're trying to use or if you want to do 9 camera multiclips. Maybe.
sarecco wrote:

The stock 4870 is the gold standard for Motion; the current rev of FCP does not care much about the GPU but we are hoping future revs will use the card directly.

Umm, withotu knowing what you need to do, of course not.

No sweat, ignore those other guys. We see this post about once a week around here so you can easily research it on the forum. Strongly urge you to locate your local Macintosh user group.

Please help: problem configuring a SQL server datasource in Websphere.
I am using Rational Developer 6 and its integrated testing server (websphere v6). When configuring a data source for SQL server, I did the following steps in admin console of the test server:
1. Created a JDBC provider, using WebSphere embedded ConnectJDBC driver for MS SQL Server;
2. Created a datasource under the previously created JDBC provider, filled in the server name, DB name and port number (1433 for SQL server);
3. Created a J2C authentication alias that has the login info of SQL server;
4. Assigned the created J2C alias to both component and container managed authentication alias;
However, when I click "Test Connection", it always gets back to me with an error "java.lang.Exception: java.sql.SQLException: [IBM][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket. Connection refused: connectDSRA0010E: SQL State = 08001, Error Code = 0.".
My ultimate goal is to configure a SQL server datasource so that I can configure Kodo to use this datasource.
Can some one please help? Thanks in advance.Try this:
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21210871
I am yet to test this. I am going to download latest SP for SQL Server 2000 and install it. I hope it will do the magic. -

Please help-caching of portlets within tabs
hi there...
i have a portal page with multiple tabs. within the tabs are portlets. the portlet on tab a points to an html page, google.com. tab b points to another html page, weather.com. if i go to tab a, enter a search on google, the results display in the tab. when i switch from tab a to tab b and then back to tab a again, i lose my place in google (the returned search results) and instead google is reloaded back to the initial page where i would enter my search value. i have tried caching the page definition only, the page content and definition for 999 minutes, nothing seems to work. can someone please point me in the right direction? this is very frustrating.
thanks,
martaMarta,
What type of portlets are you using ?
I'm guessing you are using either dynamic page portlets or HTML portlets.
The latter of these is not able to provide any specific low-level portlet caching, and the former is only able to offer expiry based caching (edit portlet, options tab, cache duration box)
If you want to issue caching instructions on a per-portlet, per-refresh basis, you would need to code that using the PDK. You can code your portlets using java or pl/sql to access the file cache api's or java to access the web cache api's.
Let me know if this doesn't help, you can find more information on the PDK at portalstudio.oracle.com

Please Help Me Configure Router for FTP
I have Verizon FIOS with the Actiontec MI424-WR router. I have been studying network configuration for hours, trying to figure out how to set up a simple FTP client with FileZilla, which is supposed to be easy. I have read the entire FileZilla FAQ and wiki, but I still can't connect to any FTP servers. I cannot even complete FileZilla's network configuration wizard. I use Comodo personal firewall too, but I'm pretty sure my problems are being caused by my router settings. Can anyone walk me through how the router should be set up to allow FTP? For starters, I need to set it to "allow outgoing connections to arbitrary remote ports," and I don't know how to do that. :-(
Tech support won't help you out with this..."outside the scope of support".
Now, if you are attempting to connect to it from the computer running the FTP server or another computer in your LAN, you would use it's IP address. You can find this by going to run -> type CMD press OK, -> now type IPCONFIG in the blinking command prompt. The IP address is going to be that computers address. so if you wanted to connect to the FTP from the same computer you can use that address AS WELL AS the prefix 'localhost'. If you wanted a family member to connect to you from outside, you would use the WAN IP which you could find out easily from like http://whatsmyipaddress.net/
Either way should work. Now just make sure you are port forwarding FTP, and should look like this, with the IP address being the FTP server's computer IP or just slect the 'Computer' from the list. Then click apply! -
My browsers (safari and Chrome) continue to open an old version of a website - even though I've cleared my browser history and cache. It's essential I see the newly launched site - rather than the old ones. It's strange it's happening in both browsers.
Please help!You, or someone using your computer, hacked the system to redirect certain URL's. The file modified is /etc/hosts.
The easiest way to fix the hosts file is to restore it from a backup that predates the modification, or to copy the unmodified file from another Mac. If you can't do that, then do as below. Please read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data. This is a simple procedure, but if you don't follow the instructions exactly, you could be left with an unbootable system. In that case, you'll have to restore from a backup or reinstall OS X.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it:
open -a TextEdit /etc/hosts
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). A TextEdit window should open. At the top of the window, you should see this:
# Host Database
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
127.0.0.1 localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1 localhost
fe80::1%lo0 localhost
Below that, you'll see some other lines. There should be nothing above the first line "##". If you have any doubt about that, STOP and ask for guidance. Make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom of the document. Scroll bars are hidden by default until you actually start scrolling, so you may not realize that you’re not seeing the whole document.
If the contents of the TextEdit window are as described, close it, then enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (by copy and paste):
sudo sed -i~ '11,$d' /etc/hosts
This time, you'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Confirm. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Quit Terminal.
That will fix the hosts file. There is now a copy of the old hosts file with the name "hosts~" in the same folder as "hosts". You can delete the copy if you wish. Don't delete the file named "hosts". -
Distributed cache doesn't work. Please help.
Hi,
I am trying to use distributed cache by:
1. use coherence as 2nd level cache for hibernate in the application server (weblogic 9). Configuration as follows:
<cache-config>
<caching-scheme-mapping>
<cache-mapping>
<cache-name>*</cache-name>
<scheme-name>DistributedInMemoryCache</scheme-name>
</cache-mapping>
</caching-scheme-mapping>
<caching-schemes>
<distributed-scheme>
<scheme-name>DistributedInMemoryCache</scheme-name>
<service-name>DistributedCache</service-name>
<backing-map-scheme>
<local-scheme>
<high-units>{size-limit 0}</high-units>
</local-scheme>
</backing-map-scheme>
<autostart>true</autostart>
</distributed-scheme>
</caching-schemes>
</cache-config>
2. start a standalone jvm locally to form a 2 nodes cluster with the coherence node above using the same cache-config.xml as shown above. I use the following command to start this cache:
%JAVA_HOME%/bin/java -server -showversion -jar %LIB_HOME%\coherence.jar
I enable jmx on both jvm, the coherence cache on the coherence node in weblogic shows a bunch of caches exist (I use @Cache(usage = CacheConcurrencyStrategy.READ_ONLY) annontation in my code to enable cache for an entity), also there are a few cache services including DistributedCache started. However, from the standalone jvm, I didn't see any cache nor Distributed cache service (the only service is management from jconsole).
My goal is to use the standalone jvm as a cache server that holds all the caches while the coherence in weblogic as the client which has no local storage but a near cache.
However, I could not even get the distributed cache to work. Please help.
ThanksHi,
To start the cache server you need to use the command like this:
%JAVA_HOME%/bin/java -server -Dtangosol.coherence.cacheconfig=/path/to/cache_configuration_descriptor -cp %LIB_HOME%\coherence.jar com.tangosol.net.DefaultCacheServer
Regards,
Dimitri -
When I start up Bridge CC I get a error message instructing me to purge cache in preferences which I do but it doesn't work and freezes my mac. I cannot curretnly use Bridge CC. PLease help as this is costing me time and money - thank you in advance....
Hold down the Option key as you launch Bridge, keep it down until you see a dialog box, then click all three options in the re-set box that comes up.
If you don't see that re-set box, you're doing it wrong, i.e., you're not holding the Option key down fast enough. -
Please help with SIP configuration on 2801 router
Hi All.
Please help me to setup a SIP account. I’m already struggling to do that for a few days, and can’t find out how to finish that. We have 2xISDN lines running, so I need to add a SIP trunk to existing config.
The information from our SIP provider:
We have issued the following DDI range: 018877000 – 99
There is no need to register the DDI’s as these will be offered to your PABX IP address provided to in the completed SIP trunking form.
Configuration details are as follows:
Our Primary Proxy:- 99.234.56.78
Codec supported:- G711Alaw, G729 (G711Alaw is the preferred codec)
Fax Support:- T38 and G711Alaw
DTMF:- RFC2833 and INFO
CLI Method:- Remote-Party-ID
Trunk doesn’t require registration; you just need to send Invite. In cisco this is done through Dial-peer session-target command. We are authenticating your IP address for outgoing calls and incoming calls we then forward to the IP mentioned in the sip form.
This is a SIP configuration on Cisco2801 router (I used outgoing calls only):

I made some changes in the router configuration.
I removed FA0/0.2 Voice interface from Voice service voip configuration (bind control source-interface FastEthernet0/0.2 and bind media source-interface FastEthernet0/0.2). And now it’s using ip address 10.1.1.101 (data ip).
The debugging is changed now. I can send and receive a respond from SIP server. But It shows an error: SIP/2.0 404 Not Found
Then it moves to ISDN line, and use this line to make a call.

Then I removed SIP-UA as I was told there is no registration necessary, only Dial-peer configuration.
But it didn’t affect anything.
Then I add translate-outgoing called 10 command to dial-peer 9000, nothing happened.
Really stuck and don't know where to look at.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.Hi Dan.
Yes, I saw that RTP debugging, but what can I change there? Maybe I need to open more ports on ASA for RTP like 19412?
I use Cisco ASDM for ASA to make changes.
There are static NAT rules for: Server source IPs(10.1.1.100) to Outside(translated IPs, 88.99.77.44) for a few ports.
Also I added Security policy access rules for LAN: Any to SIP, and Outside: SIP to any.
For NAT:
I can't add this: for LAN: STATIC ROUTER IP 10.1.1.101 (AS SOURCE) UDP 5060 TO OUTSIDE IP 88.99.77.44
(AS TRANSLATED) UDP 5060
Because there is already translation for the Server.
Debugging looks like that now. There is no Received: SIP/2.0, but I can make an outside call with no audio.

I have a problem with Mail on my Macbook Pro. It is configurated with a gmail account, and now I can't access the mail. Is it possible to reboot the account or..? Please help:)
The question mark means the computer cannot find a bootable volumes so can;t do anything, That, combined with annoying sounds, strongly suggests a failed hard drive.
You can ask a "genius" at an Apple Rtail Store to test it but I'm pretty sure the drive is kaput. I'm hoping you had your data backed up.
