PLEASE HELP, CAN'T INSTALL DRIVERS FOR ZEN TO

Got my lovely new Zen touch 2 days ago and so far have been able to do NOTHING with it!
Plug my Zen in via USB and my computer recognises it no problem. However if I try using Nomad or Media player to import files the player is not detected.
Belei'ved there was a problem with the drivers so I've tried to reinstall the software which came with it, tried updates from the internet, and also manually through device manger. All I get is that now software was found on my computer.
I know u go a lot of problems from newbies on her but I would be SO grateful for any help. I am very frustrated with it and just want to get listening.
Am using windows XP and is Zen version .0.03

i got my zen touch 2 days ago as well. what i did before i plugged mine into the computer i installed all the software first. I installed everything they had except adobe acrobat. after it was done I restarted the computer, plugged my zen touch into the power source and plugged in the usb. worked like a charm. WMP0 recognized it after the 2nd time I hit sync. I don't recommend WMP0 because it said alot of my files needed "conversion" when they were all mp3 and fine. then it just skipped them and uploaded maybe 600 out of about 800 songs. Go with mediasource, should work. Good Luck!

Hi, guys. I have a problem. I can`t install drivers for Promise IDE on WINXP. I `ve got an error "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". In Norton Ghost (DOS) drive on Promise work fine. I can`t install WINXP + SP1 on HDD on Promise controller. After pressing F6 and installing driver i `ve got an error Can`t find drive. BIOS 193 beta. Devices: IBM 120Gb 180GXP on primary master, Seagate 120 SATA 26AS on Third master. CD-ROM and DVD-ROM on secondary channel. Drivers 1.00.1.37 from ASUS and 1.00.1.29 from MSI. No result.
And another one. Why very poor perfomance when copying large files (700Mb). When starting copying speed is 25-27Mb/sec, when finishing 5-8Mb/sec. All drives under NTFS.

So if I do not misunderstand you, Windows hangs when accessing the drive?
Is it only with this drive, then maybe it's an incompatibility between the controller and the ata electronics of the drive.
Or maybe it's completely broken.. have you tried it on the ICH5 IDE controller?
If it works there you should use this configuration.
I've read about problem with some drives ... take a look into the threads on the top of this board (FAQ etc.).
What I found out yesterday: You can use the Promise in RAID mode and define a RAID0 array with only one single drive. So you could use the Fasttrak driver from MSI, which is up to date.
I haven't tried this solution (one disk in a RAID0 stripe configuration), but I think it should work...
Maybe you give it a try
PS.: Before you switch to RAID mode, you have to change the Promise Driver... but be careful: windows won't boot with the wrong driver - your last chance would be "last known good" then...

Please help with a few drivers for z60m after fresh install

I got a bad virus(several actually) that I could not eradicate. I was advised to just wipe and reinstall the OS since it is not under warranty anymore. I could not find the recovery disk, must have been lost inthe last military move could not find a replacement recovery disk at the IBM website so I went out and bought an xpprof OS thinking it should not be that hard to find any drivers XP does not provide . I had no problems doing that on our acer laptop and a friends HP laptop before so was pretty confident.. Boy was I wrong this has been the reinstall from hell. I reinstalled the audiodrivers from theIBM website but the speakers still don't work. The laptop will not recognize the wireless, even after installing the drivers for that and I can't find anything out about why the dock does not work, I assume there are drivers for that too. I also have 4 ugly yellow question marks that I can't seem to get rid of in device manager. At this point I am already out the price of XP Prof but I really need this laptop my husband took the acer laptop when he deployed to Afghanistan, only because I was confident I could get this one fully functional. I see now my self confidence was badly misplaced ,even though I am working on a degree in computer technology this laptop is kicking my tush.

the laptop has always worked great til now and all these things were functional before the virus and reinstall of the OS)
4. get rid of ugly yellow exclamation points under Other Devices, I am sure they must be important( I am sure at least one or more of them has to do with the wireless)

download and install ThinkVantage System Update, it should get the drivers for you. Please ensure you read down the site as you may need to install a patch for XP SP2.

Please help - can not install modem drivers

I recently installed an external hard drive. For some reason that seems to have erased the Westell 6100 modem set up/ drivers. I tried re-installing using the Verizon cd, but when I click account set up I get a message that I do not have administrative privileges. I checked and I am in fact still the administrator. Any thoughts on how to fix or why installing the back up drive would do this? I know my DSL connection is still good because wifi is working. This is on a MAC computer. I called Verizon which was a joke.

By what you said, it sounds like you are using some sort of Wireless NAT router.
If you are using a Wireless NAT router to handle the public IP like I suspect, you do not need to install any drivers for that Westell 6100 modem.

Can't Install Drivers for Officejet Pro 8600

I have a fresh install of Windows 7 Enterprise, everything installs and works perfectly except for this printer!

I see you are running into driver errors. I would like to help.
I would suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration. You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest reinstalling the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Can't install drivers for Sound Blaster Live! No ctzapxx.exe file

As above, I had to reboot my system and used a disk eraser as I wanted a clean slate. So obviously I have to reinstall the drivers for diff things such as sound card, USB 2.0 card etc. Everything goes fine until I get to installing the drivers for the Sound Blaster Li've!?I inserted the disc and installed the drivers, then I restarted Windows as requested. When it loads back up it'sdetects the sound card and trys to install the driver, but it can not find the driver anywhere, not on the PC or on the CD. After looking into things I thought I would go down the approach using the ctzapxx.exe file mentioned here - <a target="_blank"]http://93.95.7.84/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=4,E=000000000033636605,K=5285,Sxi=8,Answer2655 5=obj(26555)bj(26559[/url])?But for some reason this file isn't on the CD, which is what I think is stopping me from installing the drivers. I am usual ok with computer software but hardware and BIOS etc isn't my strong point as you may have gathered. I'm hoping someone knows how to sort this as it is a real pain not having any sound. the unipack download from creative will not work. first, try asking around if somebody else has the same 5. creative card as yours. the only solution for your problem is to use the installation cd that came with your creative card. I lost mine so i went to a pc repair shop and inquired if they have a copy of such cd - they normally do.
. you need to remove all the programs concerning creative from add remove programs. 2. shut down, and remove the sound card. 3. turn the pc on and let windows boot normally. install the the softwares and drivers using the cd that came with the box. 4. shut down and install the sound card 5. turn on the pc. windows will find a new hardware and will find the right drivers bec you have previously installed them. There is absolutely no need to reformat your hard dri've.

Please Help - Can Not Install Flash

This is not about downloading or uninstalling,this is about getting flash installed.
I have a Power Mac G4 with 10.5.8 I was trying to install the latest version of Flash Player and it did not work.
I used uninstaller,then downloaded - install_flash_player_10_osx.dmg.- Everything went fine until the end. I got a - The following install step failed:run postflight script for plug in.
Then I downloaded - flashplayer10_1r102_64_ub_mac.dmg - opened it,right clicked on it and went to "Show Contents" then "Resources" and tried installing - Adobe Flash Player.pkg. I got a - You cannot install PlugIn on this volume. A newer version of this software already exists on this volume. Even though I used uninstall to get rid of all Flash beforehand.
So now any website that need flash player I can not use.I have looked all over this web site for an answer.Please help me get flash player reinstalled,the lattest version if possible.

How can I install drivers for bootcamp without using the mac install dvd?

I installed windows 7 in bootcamp on my mac. I put the drivers on a FAT format usb stick so they should be installed while the windows installation was running. The most things are working on windows like the i-sight-camera. The problem is that the microphone doesn´t work so I look for a solution for 3 days, no result. Normally, you use the mac install dvd to install the necessary drivers but windows doesn´t want to read the dvd. And yes, you can download the drivers on the apple platform, but that doesn´t help me at all.

You didn't install Boot Camp drivers. It looks like you downloaded these drivers > http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3173
Those drivers are only for the graphic card and Bluetooth, not anything else, so you have to download the Boot Camp drivers on OS X and install them in Windows

in the middle of the install i get the following error:

Can't install drivers for sound blaster live Telling me there isn't a sound blaster card install

I am doing a fresh install of xp on a machine. This machine had no hardware issues before I formated the dri've and re-installed windows xp.
Everytime I go to install the drivers for the sound card I get an error message telling me that setup cannot find a sound blaster card installed on the system?
I even pulled a known working li've card from the machine I have downstairs. Put the card in and started up the machine. The driver pack is still telling me there is no card installed. I've tried three different pci slots as well.
I even went as far as re-installing windows xp without service pack 2 integrated and even that didn't help!!!
Is there some kind of fix that I am missing?

Can't install drivers for C7280 on Mac Air Hp says drivers at Apple who says no drivers, see HP.

I can't install the drivers for my printer Photsmart C7280 on my Mac Air running Mac OS X 10.7, Lion. The HP center sends me to Apple Updates which says no drivers available, see HP which repeats the circle.

Lion should include the driver you need but since its not working lets try this:
Let's uninstall with the 'scrubber option' like this:
1. Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard/ click on HP Uninstaller and click Continue
2. Highlight your device on the left pane
3. Hold the Ctrl, Opt and Cmd keys and click on Uninstall

Can't install drivers for Creative Zen 'Data Inval

I have just bought a 8gb Creative Zen but everytime I try to install it I keep getting the message "There is a problem with this hardware (Creative Zen) An error occurred during the installation of the device, The data is invalid" and when I go into device manager and click on the properties in there for the Zen (Which has a yellow iconon it) it says
"This device is not configured correctly. (Code )".
I looked up this error on the Microsoft Technet website and it says [size="">"by clicking Update Driver, which starts the Hardware Update wizard. If updating the driver does not work, see your hardware documentation for more information." I have tried to update the driver but it won't update either.
I'm running Windows XP with Service pack 2
Any help is appreciated as i'm getting extremely frustrated.

Re-installing XP might not, and probably won't do it. The re-install will keep most if not all of your Windows settings and installed files. It may repair or install files that are corrupted or missing, but that's about all.
What happens when you delete the entry from Device Manager and then reconnect the player? If it still installs with a conflict, you'll probably have to track down the application or device that is causing the conflict. Also that inevitable question ... do you have Windows Media Player installed? There have been some instances where Creative players have not paired with the driver correctly with WMP, but work fine with WMP0.

XP new, can't install drivers for vidcard G4ti4400

I just installed Windows XP Pro, then SP1, on an ASUS P4S533 motherboard. I have my graphics card (G4 Ti4400) showing as "Unknown VGA controller" under Device Manager. I can't update the drivers by any means without the monitor going black (I can hear sounds in the background if I hit esc though). After a hard re-boot, the monitor goes black when Windows tries to load.
Could this be a power problem?
I'm not sure where I should look up the specs on my power supply like in some of the other posts I've read, but pcprobe shows:
+12V 12.35
+5V 5.187
+3.3V 3.168
VCore 1.6
I tried to update the drivers before and after the SP1 update. I didn't have this problem with the card on the previous system (XP too) that I took it from, so I'm assuming that there's a problem with the motherboard or the drivers.

Hi, thank you for replying. I have some news.
First, the specs are as follows:
300W
+3.3V 20A
+5V 25A
+12V 10A
+5VSB 2A
-5V 0.5A
-12V 0.8A
The other news is that I tried setting AGP 4x in the BIOS down to 2x and now the drivers will go through. Two things about this: 4x was fine for this video card on my previous computer; and I thought a G4ti4400 would be AGP 4x capable.
If it uses more power when it's in 4x, then these problems would make sense as a psu problem, right?

To partition your hard disk, restart your machine from a Mac OS X install disk and open the Disk Utility when you are able to. Select your hard disk in the list of disks, click Partition, and set up the partition structure. Confirm that you want to partition the hard disk; doing this will erase everything currently on the hard disk. You will need to create one partition for each version of Mac OS X that you want to run; a Mac OS X boot partition must be in either Mac OS Extended, Mac OS Extended (Journaled), or UNIX file system format. More information is available in this article.

You should post this in CLDC and MIDP forum and not in this.
Anyway coming to your question now can you tell why do you want to maintain a datasource and what actually you mean by data source in this context. If you want to maintain a list of the data that is transferred to the mobile then it can be done.
