Please help:( could photos be retrieved if phone went into recovery mode
My iphone was in recovery mode since yesterday. Is there any way that I could retrieve the photos from the phone? I have about 6000+ photos which I have not backed up. Please help.. the photos were important to me:( I wish I have backup up the photos regularly. I have not thought of the phone would suddenly enter into a recovery mode. I read a few posts on the community saying that once the phone is in recovery mode, there is nothing you can do.:(

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...

Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
After you have Recovered your Device...
Re-Sync your Content or Restore from the most recent Backup...

After updating my Iphone 4s to os 7.1.1 from 7.1 over the air, my phone went into recovery mode. Yet when I try to restore it with Itunes on my windows 7 laptop it says the network connection has been reset. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network is active, or try again later. My phone has the itunes logo and charger symbol on it, as well as an arrow pointing at the Itunes logo. After holding the sleep button down or even doing the hard reset the same screen comes up on my phone regardless of whether it is plugged in or not to my computer. I have turned my computer off and on again. It is plugged in and charging as it's battery life is very short. I also reset my modem and the same error message pops up. The only option on my computer when my phone is plugged in is to restore it. My firewall also allows Itunes through it. I have literally tried everything I know being someone who knows very little about technology. I also do not want to hear about how the update worked for other people. My phone has been in recovery mode for 5 hours at least now so it will just make me more frustrated if a bunch of people post about how the update worked for them.
Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...

My phone went into recovery mode and had to be factory restored, I hadnt backed it up to either the cloud or a computer in a long time and therefore I have lost all of my messages. Is there anyway to get the messages without a recent backup?

Install the latest version of iTunes.

Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. FollowiTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

I was loading the latest software update to "fix bugs and security issues" and my phone went into "recovery mode". I've never seen this before. I plugged it into iTunes as shown on the screen of my phone and it says "Iphone in recovery mode detected" and suggested resetting the phone to factory settings. I don't want to lose all my data so is there another way to fix it? All help will be appreciated!
Sorry, whatever data you had on your phone has been wipe off already, since your phone is in recovery mode.
You will need to restore your phone. Then if you have a backup, you can choose that backup to restore from, if you have no backup, your only option is to sync contents from iTunes. -

I was updating from 6 to 6.1.2 and my phone went into recovery mode. I usually get a 3014 error but sometimes it gets past the USB screen and goes about halfway through the apple screen and gets a -1 error. I don't have firewalls, no antivirus, the only thing I have is a mandatory college internet connection program that I don't think I can get rid of. What should I do
Also, I already tried to "Hold both home and power button, let go of the home button at the apple screen" but it didn't work.That is usually a result of an iPhone that at one time has been hacked, jailbroken, or rolled back. Try it on a different computer.

I updated my iphone 5 to ios 6.something (something about the speakers) to get rid of a notification and it went into recovery mode!!! i tried tinyumbrella (and another similar software) to exit recovery but it only remains on the apple logo stuck there. please is there anything else i can do? i've contacted apple and they have told me the only choice i have is to restore and lose all my data.

iPhone 4 went into recovery mode when trying to restore it. Now the only option iTunes allows is for "restore & upgrade", it is not offer an option to restore from a backup, says that must first do the upgrade, when attempting to do the upgrade the iPhone won't accept it.
How can I restore from a back up in recovery mode when the only option is "restore and upgrade"?

I have tried restoring multiple times always with the process reaching the very end where it's "verifying restore" and I get error message: An unknown error has occured (9). Error 9 helps me in no way. I feel I've tried everything and I can't get this thing out of recovery mode! Please help, I'm just sick over this. I haven't even had my iPod a year and I have loved it. yesterday i tried updating to Ios 8. i new there were going to be some problems but i decided to do it. i started the update and less than a half hour into it my phone completely crashed.it went into recovery mode so i connected it to iTunes. i hit restore and update . it gave me and estimated time that kept going up. finally when it got to 800 hours it stopped and said an error occurred. i tried it again and the same error occurred. i am very disappointed in this because i greatly need my phone for school and other important things. i wasn't gonna wait that time anyway. i would like to know if there is anyway i don't have to update, get out of this screen without waiting forever, speed up the time, or get my computer to not crash when it gets to so many hours. (i have windows) plz help me out asap!!!
I have experienced a similar error with the iPhone 4S. The new version of iTunes will not let me restore the phone, it must be updated and nothing appears to be happening. Suffice it to say I am not amused. Apple needs to work this out - I had trouble updating to 8.0.2 as well.
