PLEASE HELP! DESPERATE!

Working on an older G5, FCP 5.0.1, media on an external Iomega 750gig with plenty of available space. 1.2 gigs freespace on the hard drive of the G5, running Leopard. All was well until this evening when I got several 'out of memory free up memory' errors. I deleted a couple of enormous movie files which I figured were choking the project (its 85.3 mb in size at this point). I rebooted, reloaded the saved project. Now NONE of the sequences will even open. Not even a new sequence will open. YIKES.
I created a new project and copied a sequence to it. It won't open. I created a new sequence in the new project. It wont open.
So I tried to reopen an archived project. Same problem. I can open the projects (tried several auto saved even) but can't open any sequences AT ALL. I've recently run utilities on my entire computer.
This has now become a serious emergency. My backup projects wont open either. What the heck? I can't afford to lose an entire week of work let alone an entire movie. I'm going to be up all night with this, I'm afraid. (we have a screening in the morning) any help will be much appreciated.

Warning Will Robinson! Get in there and free up a lot more space on your internal drive ... OS X regularly uses the system disk as swap space for virtual memory and when you run it short of available space it has even been known to overwrite and / or corrupt its own files. Try to keep at least 20% of the disk empty, you're OS will be much happier and you'll get better all round performance. When you have freed up some space then boot your Mac up in Safe Boot (which runs a full disk directory check and repair) ... to do that, restart your mac then hold the Shift key down when you hear the startup chime and keep it held down until you see the spinning gear sprocket animation. Let it boot up (its slow so have a cup of tea whilst you wait) and when its booted up and you've logged in then go ahead and repair your disk permissions (using /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility). Now reboot normally.
See if FCE is happier now ...

Okay, so I lost my comments in the switch to Mobile Me. I got my money back from my purchase of .Mac. My comments still appeared on iWeb, there was just no way to publish them or to copy and paste them.
I recently started my new Wordpress blog, which is way better by the way, and started the slow process of transferring blog posts from iWeb. My comments were still there on each post, so, I decided to snap a photo of each set of comments using the screen shot function, and paste the photo into the end of each entry on my new blog.
Then disaster strikes, AGAIN!!! My comments suddenly disappeared from my iweb! I don't have Mobile Me anymore, I'm talking about the iWeb on my computer! I had no idea they would disappear from my own computer! I did nothing to make them go away, I just opened iweb a couple times ???? I am so upset, after finding a way to save my comments (this is three years of comments from my sons blog since he was born, so they are very important to me!) they suddenly disappear! Can things be any worse with this program?
Please help me find my comments again!!! Where are they? They have to be saved somewhere on my computer because they were showing up for months before this happened! Help me get them back, please! I really, really, need those comments. It is very sentimental for us!

Please can anyone help with any ideas - my mother died a couple of months ago in Cyprus - i took my 6610 to Cyprus and when i got there found all the texts in my Inbox and My Folders have been deleted. I'm desperate to get them back as they are the only messages i have from my mother. I have spoken to Customer Services, taken it to phone shops, had the SIM card and phone read etc etc and can't find them.
Does anyone have ANY ideas? Please, I'm desperate.

1. iCloud is checked and set up correctly on both computers with respect to their preference panels and both computers are logged in with the same iCloud account.
2. I have forced the sync on both computers multiple times ... nothing changes.
3. When viewed online at iCloud.com, the folders are not the same. The recently added folders are not showing up on within iCloud. The same problem as the laptop. Only the desktop retains the correct folders once added.
Not sure what to do now ...

Ultrabeat problems please help, desperate help help help help

Whenever I'm assembeling a drum kit in ultrabeat, the acoustic drum samples keep changing, they will be fine one minute and then (it's whenever i do this) i import some new kits and add a new drumvoice, all of the acoustic drums just go silent/change their parameters, have posted this problem a lot, can anyone help please, very strange problem, if not can anyone at least tell me a support number i can ring? Thank you, this is the only problem i have found with logic, but it keeps on happening?

Avoid importing to the top notes in Ultrabeat since most of the drum kits have a bass assigned to the upper notes, unless you want to mess with midi. If you want to, you would have to reassign the upper notes to one-shots.

Someone please help - desperate!

My desktop screen flashing on and off and does not allow any activities. This is how I could have gotten there: one of my keys were not working so I went into system preferences then keyboard, then I clicked on 'restore defaults'. Then desktop started flashing. Then I could only open in 'safe mode'. So can you please tell me how to fix the problem? Am desperate.....

Go into your Control panel, and launch the "Sounds and Audio Devices" control panel. Click on the "Audio" tab.
Is the correct default device showing up in the "Sound Playback" area?

Rendering LOSES Video -Please Help Desperate College Student

I am in desperate need of help, as no one around me has ever had this problem:
When I render select clips Final Cut loses that video clip and cuts out the footage. The clip is then replaced with video that was on either side of the original clip, like taking a curtain and closing it. I can't retrieve the video after I render it.
I would simply return to my raw footage to try and salvage the project, but to get the sequence I have now took about 24 hours of scouring 3 hours of film for short clips.
This has never happened to me before, and the problem occurs only with select clips that seemingly have nothing in common.
Also note, the audio is not effected by this.
Any advice is welcome, this project was due 11 hours ago :P

The only thing that seems to be causing it is when I use the "flop" video filter on the clip. Then, when it renders the original clip i had picked out has been squished out or something. I have also tried linking it and telling Final Cut that it is "synced"

I have iPod photo that I filled with music 3 years ago. I haven't had a computer since so I haven't updated it (and am not that familiar with itunes!) I now have a computer and want to add music but am worried that if I plug it in to an empty itunes it will wipe everything. In the manual it looks like I can only ask it not to once I have plugged it in.

Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

PLEASE HELP ME! WIFi troubles and i am desperate

2-3 days ago my phone was working fine, i dont use a data plan i always use wifi, my house has wifi, whereever i go i use wifi. I left my phone charging when i got back it started acting strange, i could no longer receive bbm messages, i tried msn and it says 'no data service available'.....the status of my wifi connection is on yellow, but with all this the name of the network is at the top of my screen plus i can use my opera mini to browse and also the default blackberry browser, but nothing else works with the wifi.
I have used desktp manager to erase and reinstall, i have upgraded, i have restarted, i have tried tweaking settings, options that were there before are gone for example, ota upgrade..... i have checked module its getting signal, i am lost, i am desperate and i am getting really sad because i really really need this phone to work, please help me please anyone.....someone.....

I "suspect" that since your Data Plan is on another carrier, and you have roaming turned off, the network is not seeing the device has having a BIS plan. That is my guess.
Further, the fact that it worked before doesn't really matter, since there are several factors which come into play, such as ALL of the BIS data services are enabled by Service Books pushed to your device.For example, BBMessenger is enabled by Service Book, much as email accounts, etc. You could have had the service book required for quite a while since you've been travelling. As much as rebooting the device, and the device seeing it is not connected to a BIS data plan, could remove that service book, since there is no BIS plan.
Even further, your browser, set to HotSpot browser should indeed work with WiFi only and no BIS service... for example, I have next to me a Bold 9000 with NO SIM in the device, at all. I can use the browser to go to most any site, works great, using only WiFi.

That's going to be a ridiculous waste of money and energy.
First of all, the current ATI drivers don't support multiple GPUs, so at the moment even a single 4870X2 would be only a 'normal' 4870 (which is quite a speed beast already). GFX drivers evolve rapidly, so things might look different next month, but when it comes to Linux and hardware there's one Golden Rule: stay away from the newest stuff and wait for proper support to get coded.
I also wonder what power supply could possibly cope with the differences between idle and full load; that's way beyond 400W. But then, I'm one of those "quiet&green" types where >100W idle is already a bit much.
I kind of understand that you want to get it done and not worry about hardware for the next 10 years or so, but that's simply not how the hardware world works and never did. At least not for the average consumer.

I got mine (2 weeks ago) 64GB WiFi+3G (Verizon) from the apple store online
I didnt have to do anything to it, turned it on, activated it, got it on my home network then I signed up for the 3G data service, it works where ever I happen to be. (if there is an unknown WiFi connection available it asks me if I want to join before it continues to connect to the 3G when I am surfing or getting e-mail)

Hi, I don't have option to switch in between flash modes (on, off, auto) or switch to front camera. I can only switch in between slo mo, video, camera etc however no other option available. I'm stuck on flash on and back camera. No option to switch them not there. just blank screen. I'm so furious. Can't find anything in settings or online. Is it my phone or am I doing something wrong. Try some basic troubleshooting.
Kill the Camera app. While on the Home screen double-press the HOME button, then scroll to the right if necessary to find the Camera app. When you find it flick the screen image up with your finger.
Reset the phone after completing step 1. by holding HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears.
If the camera now works, you are done. If it does not go to Settings/General/Reset - Reset all settings. Then check it again.
Go to Settings/General/Restrictions. If you do not have to enter a passcode don't do anything further with it. If you do then enter the passcode and see if there is a restriction on changing settings.
Still no joy? Connect the phone to iTunes and Restore it.

Please help. Trying to create external xml vidoe playlist. Desperate!

I was given an assignment to create and external video playlist using an xml file. I have never used flash before, know nothing about encoding and all that was given to the class in terms of instuctions was a short tutorial that has no resources for troubleshooting. We were given everything; the external playlist file equipped with the video skin, the video list, actionscript that loads the xml and the xml file. We were told that all we need to do is change the names of the videos in the xml file to match the names of our videos. I did that. We were also told we needed to "name target", but we were not informed on how to do this. I have tried everything, visited every tutorial and I cannot figure out how to get this damn thing to work. I cannot even get flash to load the xml file. PLEASE HELP.

Everything is located in the same file, and the videos in a sub file in that file. I tried taking out the sub file and putting all the videos in the same file, but it did nothing. I am sure it's something very simple, but like I said I have NO experience with this whatsoever. I am SO lost and DESPERATELY need help. PLEASE someone SAVE MEEEE!

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

There is little chance of recovering your iPod. The police will do little. It it is turned then they can contact you.
