Please help - Entourage User Data database corruption???
Trying to move my user data over to my new powerbook and when I try to import I get a -61 error and a 2 error.... Also, when I try to launch entourage on the old PB i get a 'can't access data' error and when it tries to rebuild the database it says it can't and the database may be beyond repair...
Can someone, anyone give me some guidance on what to do...

I am appealing to everyone.
I have an external 120GB Maxtor HD
It was working about a week ago, but I stupidly turned it off without ejecting it, and now it has corrupted.
I have tried Disk Utility, Data Rescue II and Disk Warrior, and all have the same problem.
As soon as I turn on the HD, the apps freeze, and do not recognise the drive.
For example. in Disk utility, I have managed to get it to show up in the left hand window, but when I try to repair the disc, it just stalls.
Funny thing is that when I then turn the disk off, it continues.
I'm just going nowhere.
And the worst thing ? It's got my honeymoon DV on it..as you can imagine, household none best pleased.
I do have the honeymoon on DVD, but I would love to get the original files back.
Also, luckily, due to ipodrip I managed to get my music back, but there is an awful lot of other DV I am depserate to get back.
Mu only solution, as I see it, is to pay RIDICULOUS amounts of money to have it professionally repaired - I think the last time I looked it was about 400 pounds.
Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me.Something you might try is booting from the install CD *with the drive connected and powered on*, then try Disk Utility from there. Small chance, though the problem might be with a software driver. I'm in my own Firewire device hades and have been around the same tree all week. Disk Warrior fixed me up, hope you can get your stuff back.

My Itunes says there is a corrupt file and will not open (IMac 2010). I couldn't fix it by reinstalling ITunes so I moved ITunes to trash. It will not delete from my trash as it is saying "Japanese.lproj" is in use. I have never opened or used "Japanese.lproj". I can't delete ITunes or open ITunes to close the Japanese.lproj, what do I do? Thank you for any help you can provide..It will not delete from my trash as it is saying "Japanese.lproj" is in use. Interesting. This sort of thing is more common on Windows systems. Taken at face value, one of the iTunes program files (one of the Japanese language resources) is damaged.
I'd try running your Disk Utility over your startup disk. Does it find/repair any damage? If so can you empty your trash and reinstall your iTunes successfully now? -
Please help for User defined extension functions
the tutorial given for extension functions doesn't work as well as our new functions
even though i follow all the given steps and see the functions in my user defined extension functions tab in xslt map.
all the target nodes that use the extension function disappear in the resulted target xml.
please help.have you compiled your java file and uploaded the jar file(containg the .class file and the Manifest.MF file) in the <OC4J_HOME>\j2ee\home\applib directory and then restarted the server??

Please help me capturing data from HTML table

Our Storage subsystem generates a html table containing all LUN allocation for printing. I am saving this html file on disk to collect all table infomation and to put it into a database.
I am having problems extracting table information from the html file. I tried using regular expressions but still not going anywhere. Below is a sample few lines from the html file.
Please your help is appreciated solving this problem how to collect this information from a HTML file or if Java has any class for this type of purpose.

for "emergency stop" functions, i used 4 limit contactors. if one of them is "on" then the programme will be stop.

TS3991 Please help -- my iCal data has disappeared from iCloud website!
Hi -- I just opened iCal via the iCloud website on my MacBook Air. My calendar data appeared for a flash, then disappeared -- now almost ALL of my calendar data is completely gone from the iCloud website. I checked the calendar app on my iPhone 4 and the data is still there, so I turned on Airplane Mode on my phone hoping the blank calendar wouldn't sync to my phone that way. My contacts seem to still be there.
Please help -- where did the data go, and how can I get it back onto the iCloud website? Thanks in advance!Thank you. You may have been right about the server glitch. After hours, literally, on the phone with Support trying to load the calendar from my phone, and finally giving up, my calendar on the website was magically restored 24 hours later.
I'm guessing I'm not the only one this happened to, and that they restored to an earlier version for me and whomever else's data was lost. Pretty scary, actually -- and annoying!

Please help! Old dates on new photos?
I recently backed up my iphotos to disk(CD) as a precaution prior to upgrading to Snow Leopard. It appeared everything went smoothly however I'm noticing when I go into my "2010" Library, where all my photos were previously automatically organized by month/date, that the last 5 months now show "2004" as I scroll through. Even when "Get Info" on a photo that I took in December of 2010, it shows June 04, 2004.
My iphoto Library doesn't even start until 2006, which is when I got this iMac. And I now have an "Early Photos" in my Library that I don't believe was there before.
I can now only view photos from November and December 2010 when I go to the "Last 2 Rolls" or when I view the entire Library that has all the years. But even when I view all years, they are completely disorganized...2008 photos are mixed in with 2006 photos, etc. I'm considering upgrading to iPhoto 11 through the iTunes App store but I want to get my current photos back to the organized fashion they were in prior to my back-up to disk, which seems to be when the problem occured. Please help. Thanks!Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I had to replace my Blackberry, and do not have the old one. I would regularly sync my old Blackberry and can view the contacts in Outlook, but don't know how to get them onto my Blackberry. PLEASE HELP.
I'm still very much a novice on a BB, after having used Palm products for years. But if I were you, I'd check to see if your desktop manager is the same version as your device - if not it can be downloaded. At that point syncing w/ your desktop ought to transfer the data if your syncronization is configured correctly. I hope this at least gets you started

HT1331 Please help Windows user find disk on network...I'm stumped
I'm running Windows Vista and Windows 7 on another PC. Neither can even connect with the AIrPort Extreme by typing 10.0.1.1 in my browser. It shows up fine with AirPort Utility, it's IP is in fact 10.0.1.1. Internet works, file sharing from PC to PC works. I tried turning off the firewall, tried all the suggestions on this site as well.
Because 10.0.1.1 doesn't work in my browser I can't even get to the step of mounting the drive via Map Network Drive since it won't recognize 10.0.1.1 let alone \\10.0.1.1\My Book\.
Using Airport Utility and choosing Disk I can see the disk just fine, it's just not accessable via the network.
I'm connected to the internet via a DSL modem and my basestation is the PPPoE client set to be a DCHP server.
Also, I can ping 10.0.1.1 no problem.
Please help. I'm stumped.
Thank you.I got a hold of a Mac and when I typed \\10.0.1.1 in it's browser it crashed Safari every time. So that didn't get me far.
You do not open network resources in a browser.. you do not use double backslash in any OS except windows..
To open the TC disk in Mac OS.. just open finder..
The Time Capsule should list in finder under shared.
It is automagical.. but if you do need to open it.. use the Go .. Go to Server in the top menu of finder and type AFP://10.0.1.1
Or SMB://10.0.1.1
If you still have the Mac available please try again. If it does not show up in finder.. even if the disk shows up I think you have formatted it wrongly.
Exactly what format is the disk?? TC has very limited formats it can read.. basically FAT32 and HFS+..
Please plug the disk into the Mac and format the disk HFS+.. you can still write to it from a PC on the network. HFS+ is far superior format to FAT32.
Once the Mac can read it connected to the AEBS then the windows computers can work. without the Mac working the PC will never see it. -

A recent trip to a local electronics store to evaluate a replacement home entertainment system pointed to a similar sort of hierarchical system—all the combinations of possible components and options left my head spinning! I wondered
how such systems could be modeled and implemented in a database system.
The relationship between an automobile and its engine represents a hierarchy: the automobile contains the engine. The relationship is the same for the drivetrain, the electronics, and the steering. The relationship is containment. A
similar hierarchy can be observed in the relationship between the different groupings of geographic or census data.
Hierarchies exist everywhere, yet implementing them in the context of a relational database frequently proves to be a challenge. A typical approach is to represent the hierarchy using a parent/child relationship with one or more tables.
While this approach certainly works in many cases, it has a few shortcomings. Such solutions must carefully consider how the referential integrity will be maintained. And while querying the depth and breadth of such tables was considerably simplified in SQL
Server 2005 with the introduction of recursive common table expressions, writing queries against these types of tables can still be problematic when joins against many tables are required.
A Bill of Materials Problem
A few years ago I was working on a system being developed by a manufacturing company to help their dealers specify the components needed to build center-pivot irrigation systems. The software produced a list of components needed to custom-build
the desired pivot (the totality of a center-pivot irrigation system is simply referred to as a pivot within the industry). The required components were determined based on geography, soil type, and the intended crops planted in the areas to be covered as well
as the hydrologic and structural considerations of the device itself.
Underpinning the solution would be a SQL Server database. The purpose of the database was to store information about the components available to build the pivot. However, when we generated the specification for manufacturing, we needed
to identify those components as BOMs.
Some bills represented a collection of physical parts that would be assembled into a system component. For example, every pivot needed a pump to draw water from a well into the system. That pump might be electrically powered, meaning
it needed a transformer and fuse box, too. Or the pump might be fuel powered, meaning it needed a tank, a fuel pump, and hoses to connect the pump to the tank. In either case, the required parts for the pump would be listed in a pump bill.
The bill for a complete pivot would include a collection of other bills. For example, a standardized pivot might consist of a tree of bills for the pump, another tree of bills for the spans of pipe used to deliver water, and bills for any other equipment
needed to build that pivot system."

Please Help with sql.Date problem
I have spent alot of time on what I thought would be an otherwise simple task, and I beleive I am close to completion but I need some much needed help. I have posted various forms of my code to try and acheive the solution but the responses received have been limited.
I am trying to delete a record from a MS Access database where a Date/Time field in the database (Err_Date) equals a date entered by the user via a textbox.
I finally have gotten the correct record to delete from the database, but what is very strange is that Tomcat is throwing a 'java.lang.NullPointerException' error. Then when I re-open the database the correct record is deleted.

is all correct.
the problem is that I previously used String sql="SOME SQL DELETE" and then executed the result set, which of course I then had to close. This wasn't working so I switched to a Prepared Statement. I forgot to remove the 'rs.close()' statement in my code. So Tomcat was trying to close a result set that was never opened... -

I have a date for a Date of Birth i.e. dd/MM/yyyy
I need to split it up an place it into 3 combo boxes i.e. Day Combo, Month Combo and Year Combo.
This is the code I have to set the combo boxes, now I need to bring it back into the combo boxes.
can someone help me with the code as I need to have this finish on friday and I am running out of time. I just dont know what to do PLEASE SOMEONE HELP...
