hi my iPhone 4has been acting really strange within the past few days. I can't download anything anymore because it always says the storage is full, even when it isn't. It even says in the about section that I have 3 GB of space available. I can't take photos either., but I can with instagram for some reason. its so annoying how my phone iis contradicting itself yet still doesn't let me do what I want. And believe me I only have like 5 small apps and songs. I clear all my messages and everything. i also tried restarting several times and resetting network data

Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? This is not the same as restarting or resetting network settings (which wouldn't do anything useful in this situation anyway).

Failing Hard Drive...PLEASE HELP FAST!!!!

I noticed today under the Disk Utility that the S.M.A.R.T. status of my internal hard drive is "failing." I have done as much research as possible and come to the sad truth that I am going to have to replace it. This is my only computer and I am a poor college kid. I have a 160gb Lacie FireWire drive that has a partition big enough to hold my current entire system. The partition will need to be erased though and set up to do the backup. What I need to know is how exactly I can move all my data over to the Lacie and be able to boot from there and not lose anything (if possible). I know that soon my drive will probably fail and I need to be able to just start booting from the Lacie and run everything as I do now. And remember, I am a poor college kid so if there is any way to do this without having to shell out any dough for software, that would be greatly appreciated. Also, I tried to use Carbon Copy Cloner to backup my current system to the partition but whenever I rebooted to that as the startup disk, it wouldn't accept my login password, rendering the whole process basically useless to me. Please help out a fellow Mac lover. I don't want to have to go back to Windows Land, even for a minute!

Ok...You are correct...It is only when I boot from the Lacie that it is saying that. When I booted back to the internal drive it said it was failing still.
I used Carbon Copy Cloner (free) to make the bootable copy and it did a marvelous job. If you have FileVault turned on you may run into a few odd little things. Go to the website and download it and make sure to peek into the forums before you try and do the copy. They have great explanations of everything you need to do to make it work. The only problem I had was that after I got it all copied over it wouldnt let me sign into my account and I had to do some undercover Darwinning to get it to work. But I have been running off my Lacie for about 5ish days now and haven't missed a beat. (Besides the fact that my laptop is chained to my desk now...No late night surfing in bed!) It really is like absolutely nothing has changed, because nothing has! In fact, my PB is actually running a little faster because the Lacie is 7200 rpm and my internal was 5400! Makes me really glad I got the 7200rpm Hitachi to replace the failing Toshiba.
(Also, I own no stock in Carbon Copy Cloner, it is just a great product! And free!)

BIOS bricked!!! PLEASE HELP FAST

so i went to update my bios in my hp pavilion dm4t-2000 and it got around half way done and my hole computer shut off and when i try to turn it back on nothing happens. the caps lock flashes two times indicateing that the bios is corrupt. iv tryed using a flash drive to reflash the bios but nothing will work!! im really scared because my parents just bought this laptop for me and it cost them 800$ and if i dont get it fixed they will kick my a**. PLEASE HELP!!! bios = insydeH20 rev.3.5 F.14 and my computer doesnt have to hp-tools partition so i cant use that to fix it!!!!!

You can manually remove the hard drive and connect it up to another computer through USB to move important files over. Here is what a portable hard drive caddy looks like.

HP repair service has an option to save all your data if you request it, but it's not to be trusted. Other people have reported there are files with all their stuff in it when it comes back from the repair depot, but the files are empty.
You can try using 2 GB card, but something tells me that it won't make a difference.
If you have any problems with HP, post again.
Were you prompted by the HP Support assistant to update your BIOS or did you do it yourself ?

DBMS_SQL.PARSE statement
When Executed from a call within a package, I get the message insufficient privileges.
I tried executing it from the user-schema from the owner and from an other user.
When executed from within a sql-statement there is no problem.
Example:

This is not a problem.
Does anyone know if this has something to do with access rights/grants.

MSI R4850 PROBLEM - PLEASE HELP FAST (UPDATED) :S

I install my new PC and what do you know, there are exclamation marks on the POST and BIOS screens replacing some parts of the background... But when windows starts everything looks fine. I can watch movies and there is no problem. But then I saw this in the VGA driver tab:
So I install a few games, and it is similar to that picture. The whole screen is covered with little squares on some spots and there seems to be faulty graphics.
While playing a map in Warcraft, not only the graphics was like this, but every now and then the screen would freeze, go black and return to the same bad graphics. Also after 5 minutes it gave me a BSOD.
I have the latest ati grafics drivers, and I tried replacing the 4850 with my old video card, an MSI Nvidia N7800GT and these problems are not present with that card, so it has to be the a problem with the 4850.
So what is wrong with the VGA? Is it some hardware fault? What should I do?

OK, so I tested the VGA in another system. And as it started it showed the exclamation marks in post again. Then I installed the drivers and i restarted, and the exclamation marks were gone. Then tested games, Warcraft and Crysis and everything works splendid. This was on my friend's PC which is:
MB ASUS P5Q Updated to Latest BIOS
PQI DDR2 800MHz 2GB
CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700
HDD 320GB Hitachi 16MB cache @ SATA2
Windows XP PRO x86
So the VGA is ok here, but doesn't work fine on my system. Any ideas?
EDIT: Updated BIOS version to 1.4 and the problem persists... some help pleaseee!

PLEASE HELP FAST-- System.copyarray Method

I'm taking a java couse and have ran into a problem. I have to make a copy of an array using System.copyarray and it must used a method. I've figured out how to copy the array in the method called "copyArray", but I can't figure out how to get the copied array values returned back to the Main. What I'm doing wrong is i'm not calling the method correctly, at least that what I think. What I want to do is assign the new copy, called "retVal" in "copyArray", to an array called "myNewArray" in the Main so I can print it out in a JOptionPane.showMessageDialog box.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.... I've got to turn this into class at 4 PM EST on 2-12-2003.
I've created a comment called //I'M STUCK HERE as the starting point of where I think I should be calling the "copyArray" method.

Since I got that message, I have done the following things:
Empty trash and downloads
Use YASU app to delete caches
I only have 14GB out of 119GB so my mac is really slow?
What should I do to save loads of space?

Your space is on the low side, but it's not low enough to cause significant performance issues (unless you're working with really large files, etc). You'll definitely want to free up some space though for starters just to see if that has any impact on the performance problems you're seeing. You can try something like OmniDiskSweeper (free). It will scan your drive and show you where the majority of your space is being used. Lots of times people find they have tons of old video podcasts which can eat up space quickly. When deleting files, be sure you know what they are. Don't just delete files to clear up space if you're not familiar with them:

My Ipod Touch won't restore after full reset!!! please help fast!!!

My Ipod touch 3g 8gb on 3.1.3 got some major problems recently. When I wanted to take a snapshot it just doesn't appear in photos. When I wanted to save an image from Safari it doesn't appear in photos. Then I got fed up and pressed Reset Settings. That finished and the photos problem wasn't solved. Still. I chose Reset all settings and content. I confirmed it and Ipod Touch was doing it for like 20-25min. After that it just won't start up. I am trying to restore it right now with iTunes and again to 3.1.3 (3.1.2 or other doesn't work). I clicked restore, everything went fine but now, it is stuck at like 95% and won't move. I really don't know what I did wrong and what I have to do to fix it. Any suggestions?

you have to connect your ipod to the computer, when you put in the cable you have to hold the home button, i had the same.

What do you think? Apple sells products directly from its own stores, and through Apple Certified resellers. All apple certified product sellers are bound by contract to sell apple products at Apple's specified prices - they can bundle extra's with them as part of their own promotions, but they do not get to set the base price of the item, Apple does that (haven't you noticed that Best Buy and others charge the same price for the same items as the Apple online or retail stores do?).
So yes, if you see any old private web site selling Apple products, they almost certainly are not a legitimate Apple reseller.
Note too, that only Apple, directly, sells Apple factory refurbished units. Any other reseller offering "refurbished" units has either refurbished those themselves or contracted with some company to refurbish them. That does not necessarily mean they are bad, just that they were not actually refurbished through Apple themselves (eg. an Apple certified reseller may sell refurbished products that they refurbished inhouse at their own facility, which may be fine but just check out their standards of refurbishment and what refurbished warranty they offer). If an authorized reseller does their own refurbishment, they can sell their refurb'd units at whatever price they choose.

It all seems pointless to me.
It's a java applet, and import is "import java.applet.*;"Entirely irrelevant except that it tells us this is a GUI, and GUIs don't understand backspaces, and you don't 'print' to a GUI, you display, and why you aren't just deleting the final character remains a mystery.

Any ways I try to find update drivers for it in lonovo site, I want throw Family , Brand, Type = 77674 and got stuck in Model i got RF3 and I can't find it.
My main problem is that in my bios my USB-HDD have minus like it is disabled and I can't boot from any USB device.

Call Apple Care for your country and request that they assist you in resetting the security questions.
It's too bad that you are so angry with yourself. Many folks set the questions and then forget the answers. I suggest that when you solve this issue today that you save the questions and their answers in a secure note in your keychain on your Mac.

I'm not the most computer literate person and I just advanced my internet service with Bright House Networks to 90 and they said my computer is faster than theirs but they are not here to see it is worse than dial up. If you have Safari 5.0.6 that's the latest version for 10.5.8 Leopard.

Connect the iPod to your syncing computer and restore it via iTunes. However, if iTunes asks for the unknown passcode you need to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod from backup. For recovey mode see:
