Please help!!! first green screen, now "itunes has stopped working"

Hi, please, anyone - I need help
I have a dell laptop running windows Vista
about 2 days ago, all of a sudden itunes refused to play my TV shows (which I have a lot of, probabely about $500 worth!). At first it just displayed either a green screen, or a black screen, and then it came up with an error message saying "Itunes has stopped working"
So, I thought ha! I'll simply re-install the operating system. At first that did the job, but now its happening all over again! its the exact same thing
Could someone please offer me some advice, I have tried changing Quicktime to the safe mode - but to no avail, I just dont know what to do!
Cheers in advance for your help
P.S Do you have these problems with Mac's?

I too have this problem and posted the following elsewhere--still no help from anyone. Thankfully I only bought 1 tv show from them and it will be my last until something or someone gives.
Hope someone either can help or refer me to a past posting of someone else having this same problem.
Why am I seeing the color green instead of the tv show I purchased? What most likely is missing on a person's computer when someone sees a green screen? Sound is fine, but the picture is a solid green screen.
I have an S3 Savage Pro 32MB AGP Video component.
Help! Thank you...oomgowah

Just had new download. now itunes has stopped working ?

I have been dealing with this since Sunday and have done everything. Temove, repair, reinstall, blah blah blah. I hope you have better luck that I am having. Apple wants me to pay for a solution. Their software caused the problem and I have to pay. Outside of that, no answered email or anything. Apple support is a joke. I'll never buy another Apple product again.

  • B Noir HELP! NTDLL.DLL Error, 'iTunes has stopped working'

A few weeks ago my iTunes stopped working, I looked at the problems reports on my control panel and found out it was a ntdll.dll fault. I cannot fix it! I've deleted itunes and all of its components and then tried to reinstall them and it still works! Quicktime works fine or seems to anyway! I'm absolutely sick of it, its driving me mad! My computer is Windows Vista. I've copied and pasted the fault report below:

If the QuickTime Player is launching, I'm less inclined to wonder about an ATI Tray Tools conflict issue. (Although we may have to return to that ... symptoms for that particular issue have changed slightly before, and might have changed again. I was away from the forum for a few months, which is an eternity in this particular advice-provision business.)
On occasion, the ntdll.dll-referencing error has been associated with some sort of Apple Application Support damage. (In those cases, Safari for Windows also fails to launch on the same PC, also citing ntdll.dll in the problem report.) But in those cases a complete uninstall/reinstall can fix this.
Doublechecking, Leah. When you did your uninstall/reinstall, were you using the following document as a guide? (The "Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalled" section is particularly important if we've got damaged Apple Application Support program-file issues afoot.)

  • 64 Bit Vista Error Message: Itunes has stopped Working

I installed Itunes on my 64 bit Vista OS and it was working fine for about 3 weeks. Now I get an error message when I try to start Itunes now: "Itunes has stopped working"
I searched for a solution on here but it looks like Itunes doesn't support the 64 bit OS I have installed on my computer. I really hope they fix this. I've had my Ipod and Itunes for 2 years now. It's been a pleasure to own and I've bought many Songs from Itunes store. But, if I can't get it to work on my computer I may have to try to sell it for something that will work.
    Thanks, Hairy

    Hello, Sofa_King_Gary.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I see that you are experiencing issues with iTunes closing unexpectedly and you have attempted some troubleshooting steps already.  There are just a couple more steps that I could recommend in the article below.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

  • I just received a refurbished replacement iphone and now while syncing I get "itunes has stopped working"...help???

I just received a refurbished iphone the the insurance provided by a major electronics retailer.  Since i have tried to sync it to iTunes I have received "iTunes has stopped working" error.  It says it will come back with possible solutions, but never does a thing.  I have already removed and again installed iTunes, QuickTime, etc. to no success.  Not sure what my next step should be.

This helped overcome the crash problem, but (as reported before), I still have to start iTunes in Safe Mode in order to watch any videos. This has been the case since 10.5.
The regular mode behavior has changed a bit - instead of the progress bar moving to the end of the video, showing no video but playing the audio for about three seconds, it now leaves the progress bar where it is ... but the rest of the behavior hasn't changed.
Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit on an HP dv8t quad-core laptop w/ 8 GB RAM, running nVidia GeForce 230M with 1 GB video RAM.
Thanks for your prompt response to the original problem posted above. At least now I'm back where I started from before I upgraded to 10.7. Not optimal, but I've finally gotten used to doing a Ctrl-Shift-click to run iTunes.

  • I keep getting the message itunes has stopped working I can't even open itunes I have tried uninstalling and installing, starting in safe mode but nothing seems to work. Please can anyone help me

I have recently bought a new laptop with windows 7 and when i have tried to install and open itunes i keep getting the message 'itunes has stopped working' itunes then shuts down before i can do anything to fix it. This happens every time I try to open itunes. I have tried uninstalling itunes and reinstalling it, starting itunes in safe mode. Nothing seems to work. Please can anyone help.

If and when I finally manage to open it, as soon as I click on a movie to watch, the message "itunes has stopped working" comes up.

  • Please HELP, "iTunes has stopped working" error after connecting iPod video

People please help me out!  I have a Razer Blade gaming laptop with Windows 8 64bit.
I have an iPhone 5, iPad 2 and an iPod video (80GB).  I had some weeks from not connecting the iPod to my computer, but this morning that I did so I can upload some new music to it, iTunes just crash, I get the "iTunes has stopped working" error message when I connect the iPod video.  I do not have this problem with either the iPhone 5 or the iPad 2, when I connect these, iTunes works fine, once I connect the iPod, then all goes down
Procedures that I already tried and that were unsuccessful to solve the problem:
    Uninstall Quicktime
    Uninstall iTunes and reinstall
    Reset the iPod (several times)
    Delete TEMP files on computer
    Restart the computer (several times)
Use a different cable and a different USB port
The iPod is working fine, if I plug it to my car stereo or if I use it with headphones it works great, no problems nor errors.  My computer also identify the iPod as a hard disk, no error messages from Windows, it is just the freakin' iTunes that freezes everytime that I plug the iPod
PLEASE HELP ME OUT, I've searched forums on this particular issue but with no luck.
    Thanks very much!

It is only when I attempt to add a song to my iPod once plugged in that I receive the error "Itunes has stopped working" and forces me to exit the program, without the song being successfully transferred.
Do you have the "Convert to 128 kbps AAC" preference enabled for syncing to the iPod, laur?
If so, it's quite plausible that you've got the iTunes 10.1.0.54 bug and we need to get you updated to 10.0.1.56 as per the following document:

This Apple article will help you isolate the problem a little -> iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues
Does iTunes start in Safe Mode?
Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interfence with plug-ins or scrpits not manufactured by Apple.
Hold down the Shift and Control keys while opening iTunes. If performed correctly, you should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
After clicking Continue, determine whether the issue you were experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
It would also be helpful if you can provide the Error Report from the Windows Action Center Reliabilty History. To view this go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Action Center > View Reliability History under Maintenance. Double click the iTunes critical event and copy it into your reply.

*i've managed to download quicktime, but am still unable to download itunes. after reaching a certain point in downloading itunes, (about 1/3 of the way?) it stops at "copying files", and my computer freezes and i have to hold the power button in order to shut it off and do anything, or i get a popup asking me if i want to change something so itunes can finish downloading. i click "yes", but then the download stops completely and i get a message saying "itunes has finished downloading, but with errors" and it tells me to download it again.
a popup from MobileServiceDevice keeps appearing as well, but it won't go away. the details are:
    Problem Event Name:    APPCRASH

but the fault module name changes on me. sometimes it's kernel32.dll, and sometimes it's something else, and i've already tried using task manager /find str but it doesn't help.
