My iPhone 5 rear camera stopped working after I updated to ios7.1. The front camera works for a few seconds and crashes afterwards . Please help me I bought the iPhone 5 because it takes good pictures now I can't even take them ....

If the camera on your iPhone is not working, try these troubleshooting steps first:
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.

Somehow I lost being able to see my bookmarks along the left margin of my window and also the options at the top. Please help fix.

Somehow I can no longer see my bookmarks on the left side of my window. Also some of the icons at the top of my window are gone and I can't move them on the toolbar. Please help fix.

If the "Menu Bar" is hidden then the Menu bar gets replaced by the orange Firefox button.
In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar temporarily.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

You’ll need a connection to the internet, and probably have a registered version to do updates. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for PSE to talk to the Adobe servers and see that you’re needing updates. If you are connected to the internet, then perhaps your computer has a firewall or internet security that needs temporarily disabled. So try some things like that.
You can also try downloading and running the updaters for ACR 8. CS6 from this Adobe blog page:

Please Help! New Cam - Seems to Be Locked

Hi allI have the Creative Live Cam Optia #4 - Creative Live Cam Center version .3.0 running on Win XP. I have a basic problem. The cam doesn't record any images - ie it won't display my pic even when the cam is pointed at me - the screen has a lock icon on it - which I think is the parental lock thing but I have not initiated a parental lock at all - and neither does a message pop up asking me to put in a password to "unlock" the parental lock - I know the cam is hooked up correctly because the name shows up in the Windows hardware list (thru the control panel) and also the blue light comes on when the application is launched - Plus when I attempt to click a photograph the "clicker" makes a sound and takes a pic of the lock icon on the screen. I just can't figure it out - I'm sure its just some basic setting that needs to be adjusted or somethign .. ? or does the cam lens have an of/off lever or something like that ? I tried to rotate the lens but nothing happened.

i have got intouch with a friend who has an ipod mini and she said that hers had done this only last week. she said hers was fixed when leaving it to charge over night in a wall plug (i have not got one but hers came with her ipod?) then the next day plugging it into her computer and resetting it by pressing the menu and select buttons. doing this has actually made my ipod respond a little (which must be good news?) but just shows that apple logo and the unhappy ipod logo again but this is more than it has been doing previously. although it is telling me to restore it, it is still impossible to restore because the computer is refusing to recognise it. any little bit of advice will help PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!

Can you please help fix imap configuration so it will work?

I have tried every scenario I can think of to get the imap to work and incoming is working fine, but outgoing is not working.
I use register.com to host my email and from their site they have the following imap configuration settings
Incoming IMAP mail server: mail.exampledomain.com
Secure Password Authentication: NO
Incoming IMAP port number: 143
Outgoing SMTP mail server: mail.exampledomain.com
Outgoing SMTP server requires authentication: YES
Use same settings as Incoming Mail Server: YES
Outgoing port number: 25 or 5125 or 587
Can you please assist with getting this set up so I can send emails? I've tried all the outgoing port numbers...using SSL/TLS, STARTTTLS and using normal password and encrypted password.

IMAP is incoming mail so why do you want that fixed if it is working.
SMTP settings are what control outgoing messages.
The people that know the correct server settings for their mail servers will be your email provider. Ask them for the correct server settings and place them in Thunderbird.

Use the edit button to make changes.
As a general rule port 25 is insecure and does not use SSL/TLS if it is supported at all. Most reliable providers have turned this port off.
From my experience port 587 is looking for a STARTTLS command but your provider would have the real answer.
Very few providers support encrypted passwords and normal password is the norm.
Again only your provider knows how their system is set up. The first line of help desk agents will generally be clueless about any of this. Ask for someone that actually knows something.

ITunes 11 Genre not working, Please help fix

I update to iTunes 11 and the new genre view is messed up. The Pop, [Pop, Rock and [Rock aren't together. Anyone know how to fix it. At the moment if I want to play a song by a genre then I use the song view, so I'm not to fussed about this problem.

The only firewall that is in use IS the Windows firewall. Thank you for helping though!

I probably should reinstall iTunes. If I do, will my library/playlists/smart playlists be totally intact? Like, after the reinstall will it look the same or will I have to reimport everything?

I recently purchased an idea pad S10 with the 160g hard drive and integrated 1.3mp webcam. Problem is, the web cam does nothing but take rudimentary pictures. I was hoping to use it for skype video chats and sending video messages but it appears that I can only operate it much like the simple camera on my cell phone. ANY help that any one can offer would be greatly appreciated...What am I doing wrong? Did I miss something?....Thank you so much folks.

PLEASE believe me when I say I've watched 20 YouTube videos on the subject, read the manual, reinstalled FCS on a new machine (in the event that the install or my last MBP was at fault), etc., etc....
JUST can't get FCP to make the cuts for me when I click on the angles in the viewer.
Despite making a multi-clip, open synch, green/blue boarder for audio/video angle and blue boxes for video only, rendering, etc., the same thing always happens...
When I hit the space-bar, making all the angles play @ same time in the browser, and then I click on an angle to make a real-time cut, the in-point of the selected angle pops onto the canvas (a still frame) and everything STOPS.
Happy to describe any other details; can begin to tell you how stoked I'll be if I can get past this...
(I've been reduced to trying to use iMovie to cut this 3 angle live-music performance video, which is taking HOURS for a single song...with terrible results...)

Starting over:
1) Import 3 .dv clips (all same frame size, vid rate, compression, etc.)
2) Create new bin for footage, assign angle numbers to clips
2) Add in-point for synchronization
3) Make multiclip (and synch in-points)
4) Double-click on multiclip (and it then shows in viewer)
5) Press "overwrite" to bring multiclip into timeline
6) Open playhead sync
7) Assign blue and green 'boxes' in viewer (audio/video, and video only)
8) Click into timeline, make sure playhead is to the front of the sequence
9) hit space bar to start editing.
10) NOW, whenever I click on an angle in the viewer to make an edit, playback stops and a still frame for the selected angle shows in the canvas.
ANY THOUGHTS??

Seriously p----d off. BT engineer arrives this morning to put in Infinity. I’ve been without Broadband for nearly three weeks as EE shut my account down (long story) but they did make keep my phone line active during this time. Anyway, today, March 6, was supposedly the day BT took over the line and the broadband could also kick-off. For whatever reason, BT gave me a new number which I was told would go active today. Fine. But when the engineer arrives at 8am – guess what – the line isn’t active. Whenever you dial out, it just says “the number isn’t recognised.” Then, to complicate things further, the number BT gave me several weeks ago as my new phone number is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to the one the engineer reckons is assigned to the line; he’s dialling 17070 and it’s telling us that a totally diff number is there which is neither my previous one or the new one. He leaves. Oh my God. I contact BT. Routed to India. Explain everything to a person there. He goes off and comes back and says it’ll be connected by 1pm today. I’m not confident. I mean, what number will be connected, exactly? I just give up. Anyone know what I should do?

You probably have a "stopped" line at the moment, and the changeover to your new number will take place overnight, within the exchage software.
This is an automatic process which is triggered when the provision task has been completed.

No one answered me.. please help: iPhone 5 camera issue

I just got this iPhone 5 camera issue. I was taking pictures (around 20 pictures), suddenly the camera only focused downward (to the ground). Even I raised the iphone higher and focused to the head of person that stood in front of me, but the camera still took the pictures of that person's hip and legs. Every pictures that I took were focusing downward.
Should I get a replacement? IS it a ios6 or phone problem?
Actually, after I restarted the phone, this problem was gone. But I just want to make sure that this problem will not come again after 1year warrantee.

Have not seen this issue, but keep an eye on it so to not miss the warranty period. If it does it again, take it to apple and get a replacement.

Big mistake installing new pacman rc!! Please help [FIXED}

I downloaded the new release caididate of pacman 3 ( http://www.archlinux.org/~dan/pacman/pa … pkg.tar.gz ).
It appears that it doesn't like Arch64. (pacman: error while loading shared libraries: libarchive.so.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64)
So, I obviously need to remove it and re-install the old pacman. Can anyone advise a course of action. Pacman is so critical a tool to Arch I'd really like to get it right.

For the record, the actual name of that file is:
pacman-3.0.0-rc2-i686.pkg.tar.gz
Please take note of the -i686 at the end there. That package was not built for -x86_64.
However, I think this one was:

(though it appears not to be built with the new makepkg which adds the -ARCH on there)
