Please HELP! Flashed N900 Big mistake :o(

I flashed my N900 under advice. Now it shows no sim card present. Tried other sims dont show them either. I cannot live without my phone... To all you clever people out there who no something, anything or lots more than this idot typing this, I am begging for help.

also, in case your pc still will not allow for you to use that file...it is most likely going to be due to the length of the file name. (happens for sure on my laptops) just name the :
RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin to "pr1.3.bin"
RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin to "vanilla.bin"
this will cause for less issues in typos as well as IF there is an issue and the file name is too long, it will work with no problems.

I have my tablet won't switch on and when I try to turn on, the red light and green light flashing 5 times. And then nothing. Unable to turn on.
I tried a reboot by pressing power + volume - and nothing!

Same thing happened to me yesterday. After the error message, I plugged in the charger. It took quite a while but the tablet started charging. It reinstalled the update when it reached the 20% level. Another update error came up to change my setting. I checked my setting but didn't change anything and just reinstall update again which this time was a success. Hope this would help.

I have a flash intro and when ever I preview it,the intro background turns to black instead of staying the way it should be.Can somebody please help me out here,I need this flash intro for a website.Please explain this to me in simple terms because im pretty NEW to adobe.

i have this intro. I open it in flash and play it. As soon as the Offbeat idea text goes away the background fades to black instead of staying consistent.

I am running Mac OS X 10.7.5. Last night Facebook told me I MUST update to the newest version of Flash Player in order to upload multiple pics. I kept getting plug-in failure messages and then the message saying I need to update my version of Flash.
Problem is I have updated my version of Flash and the plug in still doesn't work. Please help, my business relies on my being able to upload multiple photos daily to social media. What is going on? I have read the forums, the work arounds posted on 4/16. Uninstalled, re-installed, etc. I am still getting flash plug in failures even on Adobe's site. What do I do?

I am in the same boat. I cannot watch flash videos on the BBC website or on BBC iPlayer, although all other flash videos (YouTube for example) are fine.
For reasons that passeth all understanding, they work with the PPC version of Firefox, called TenFourFoxG5.app, once you have anabled plug-ins, as it does not natively support Flash.
You can download TenFourFoxG5 from here:

Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:

But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
I am using Flash 10.1.102.64 in TenFourFox and it works just fine.

Please help--flash 9 wont download

I am slowly realizing that there are a lot of things that
require Flash Player 9. I have tried at least 15 times to install
this, but everytime it pops up the security box, i click install,
and the 'F' comes up with the spiral underneath. It goes away, the
security box reappears, i click install, and the little boz where
the 'F' was is empty, then it goes away, turning to quotation
marks. Why wont it work? i am on my acocunt with administrative

first, if your not using firefox, got to mozilla.com and get
firefox. it the best browser there is and the add-ons that you can
get to enhance it are the bomb. Next time you come across something
that requires flash it will automaticlly download it.

PLEASE HELP-Flash Version 9.0

Everything was working fine this morning. I went to the
Playhouse disney.com website for my sons. It said I needed to
update my flash player. I downloaded 9.0 for MAC powerPC (I have
version 10.5). The download did not finish, stating I needed a
different plugin. It redirected me back to the same page for
downloading 9.0. I did the uninstall flash player. It said it
worked. I tried to install 9.0 again. Now, it said that I don't
have permission to access the installer. What do I do? If anyone
could please help me, I would really appreciate it!!!

I have written a .exe application that has a email submission
form at the end, the form is built up of flash 8 components. The
component ids are as follows:
fname.text;
femail.text;
fmessage.text;
fcountry.text;
fsubject.text;
On my submit code i have passed the fields using this method
fname = fname.text;
femail = femail.text;
fmessage = fmessage.text;
fcountry = fcountry.text;
fsubject = fsubject.text;
This is perfect and works first time no problems. My problem
is becasue the flash .exe never closes the component id's are stuck
at the last setting which is i.e. fname = fname.text; when the form
comes round again it doesnt work becasue its stuck at fname =
fname.text;
I need to tell the flash program to forget this after i have
submitted it and return it to fname.text = fname.text;
Please can you help, i'm pulling hair now and ive got a
deadline to sort this out :/
If the swf was on a webpage this wouldnt be a problem becasue
the swf gets loaded each time the page is refershed, but becasue
it's a .exe and never gets closed its stuck this way after being
run first.

Please help me with big document

I have a xls file which is located about 5000 lines, each line I need to attach several files, jpeg and 1-2 in text fileswhich must be searched. I tried to solve this problem through acrobat portfolio in which I created in 5000 foldersand each folder located JPEG and text files converted to pdf for the search option. PDF I unfortunately when a fewjpeg files dropped and I lost all the work. Please do not have an idea how big this file to create or what?

Regarding this issue, the very possible reason is that you have set figure in 'Preview Print Layout -> Change size in' field. That will leads to the fact that when printing directly and printing from print preview, you will get different printouts with different font sizes.
To check whether it is the case in your situation, I would like to suggest you to check below setting:
1. Open the relevant print template.
2. Go to Menu bar to open 'Display Document Properties' -> 'Format tab' -> 'Preview Print Layout' -> 'change size in '. Please set the value to Zero (the default will be -1) and save this template.
3. Repeat your previous actions to check the whether the issue has been resolved.

I am desperately looking for documentaion on the Flash
ActiveX control properties
(Quality, Quality2, AllowScriptAccess, ScaleMode,
ProfileAddress and so on).
I am developing a c++ Windows application which uses Flash in
its UI.
I managed to do the basic stuff (embedding multiple
CShockwaveFlash ActiveX controls
in a Windows dialog, communicating values between the C++
code and ActionScript).
What baffles me is that I did not find any documentation on
the control properties
- neither using Google, nor navigating Adobe LiveDocs etc.!
Please can someone provide a link?
Another topic I am very interested in is performance and
syncing between C++ and the Flash control(s).
In my current prototype, the Flash controls are not even able
to correctly display (read: without stuttering)
a simple second counter which gets its value set by the C++
code!
Amazing. As I am using a half-decent PC (2Ghz, 1GB RAM), CPU
Load and Memory Usage never come close
to anything above 30%, so I am asking myself what is going
on.
I suspect it has something to do with the Flash VM's garbage
collection, caching or stuff like that.
Any hints on this subject are greatly appreciated.

Hi all, I am having problems updating my wix websites and wix are telling me this is due to a recent upgrade of flash player.. they are telling me that I need to have flash player version 10.2.153 or 10.2.154 while my computer is running 10.2.159 and I cannot find the others versions for download anywhere. I am totally lost with all of this stuff so please excuse me if I have confused anyone!
I would really appreciate any help that anyone can give me with this.

Thank you for your help! It seems that I have the problem fixed now.. and I agree with what was said regarding WIX.. it's most frustrating bu I believe it has something to do with the latest upgrade to the flash player.

PLEASE HELP- flashing question mark in folder

Hi everyone,
last night I was just on my macbook as usual and suddenly it froze, so I turned it off. When i went to turn it back on, all that appeared was a flashing question mark in a folder.
I have tried all the suggestions on this page http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58042 , but none of them worked because it didn't even recognise/find the harddrive in the disk utility section. I don't have apple care ($419 is a lot of money for a student!) but I only bought the macbook about 6 months ago, so it is still within warranty. What should I do now?
Any help is much much appreciated!

I just had the same exact problem last night too. I called the apple technical service number and nothing they did helped because the hard drive wasn't found. I even got a fire wire cable and tried to hook my MacBook up to another Mac and tried the target disk mode hoping I could pull off data that I needed, but the other mac couldn't find the disk either. I'm kind of worried about losing some of my data. If you could let me know if you find any solution that would be awesome! I plan on going to the apple store this weekend to get it looked at.

here's what happened ... without reason my computer set itself back to factory settings .. so everything lost, my document, my settings in iphoto, itunes, you know the whole lot but luckily for my i was using my external hard drive for iphoto ... but now i wanted to import my pictures again in iphoto but it started to import to whole files which i don't want, i want to keep my big files on the hard drives and my smaller files on my computer ! but now when i tried to import again it says "unreadable files. the following file could not be imported (the file is in the iphoto library folder) /volumes/big brother (which is my hard drive btw)/iphoto library".
so anyone who can help me pls ...
and also while i'm here ... i have an ibook G4, with 30 GB of disk space but only 1.5 GB left and i don't have any big files on my computer, just some programs (no pictures or anything mayor) is there maybe something that i'm missing ... ?
so that's my story ... pls help me !

I think you had your problem because you are so low on disk space. You need to clean out your hard drive and make more space. I think the case with iPhoto is just your preferences weren't saved so iPhoto forgot where your library was.
Launch iPhoto with the Option key depressed until you get a message window. In that window choose to open another library, then navigate to the external and highlight the iPhoto Library folder and click "open" Hopefully your library will open.
