PLEASE HELP!!! Font Driving me crazy!!!

I just installed all of my fonts on my new iMac. These fonts never gave me a problem on my PPC Powerbook so I thought they would be fine on the Intel iMac. I was seriously wrong.
I have searched through every font in fontbook and can't seem to find this font. On top of that, FontBook is no longer removing fonts when I tell it to.
Can anyone tell me what this font is called? (Identifont could not Identify the font)
It has invaded EVERYTHING: Safari, Mail, Word, etc. At least the finder looks fine because then I might have considered trashing everything but it has already taken me a month to get this up and running so that is not an option right now.
Please, are there prefs. files I can trash or a way to reset Font Book? I am at my wits end here.

Somehow, the font shown has taken over Arial. This happened in a recent thread here. Not with the exact same font as yours, but the wrong one nonetheless. The user replaced Arial with a new copy from the original OS X installation disk and fixed the problem. See the last section in Font Management in OS X for instructions to replace one, a few, or all of the fonts OS X comes with.
But start with orangekay's suggestion to clear the font cache files. That may be all it will take.

Weird PhoenixNub2.kext Warning (Please Help its driving me crazy)

Ok so this has annoyed me for some time now. one day i restarted my powerbook when it booted up i got a warning message that reads. System extension cannot be used. the system extension"/System/Library/Extensions/PhoenixNub2.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update. and since that day it comes up everytime i restart or wake it from sleep.
Once the the screen stopped working. I had to hook the powerbook into my television and and use mirroring to fix it.
The only thing i get on a google search is two things on the sony CD spyware but they said nothing of how to fix it. does anyone know what this is and how I can MAKE IT STOP.

You are correct. It is the Sony copy protection garbage. These are the two files you'll need to look for:
PhoenixNub1.kext and PhoenixNub2.kext
Now, as far as the removal process goes see below:
Boot up in 'safe-mode' (hold the shift key down while starting your computer). In the main hard drive navigate to System>Library>Extensions. Locate the two extensions (listed above) and delete them. You will have to be logged in under your admin account while doing this.

CRASHING PROBLEM! Seriously need help, CS4 driving me crazy!!

Adobe Photoshop CS4 has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Sounds like a common problem enough eh? Yeah? Well no, and this started happening when I began to practice Vector art with masks and the good ol' pen tool three days ago. It happens RANDOMLY, may happen 5 minutes in, may happen 15 minutes in-- whatever the case it happens at least 10 times a day and it is incredibly frustrating. A lot can happen in a minute when you haven't saved. By the way my document is only 1680x1050 resolution, 75dpi, and is only 7mb big.
I have had Adobe Photoshop CS4 since November, it was okay--my photoshop 7 would not install on vista so oh well! Photoshop CS4 is pretty nice, after disabling vertical sync to prevent brush lag.. anyways fellas, to the point.
My Computer specs:
Intel Core2 Quad q6600 @ 2.4ghz/core, 4mb cache
4.0gb (Actually 3.3gb being read, damn 32bit)Ram 1100hz, I forget latency?

SO! My computer is not the best but it is certainly rather powerful! So what's going on? I have Norton protecting me, no viruses or spyware, and I have not installed anything recently that would affect it besides Left 4 Dead but that was 3 weeks ago (awesome game btw, superMEIKO is my steam ID if you want)
Here's what I tried:
-Set page file to minimum 4gb to maximum 14gb.
-Uninstalled (completely, no registry files leftover or w/e) all drivers and photoshop and everything-- then reinstalled with everything up to date
-Updated drivers for wacom tablet
-Tried the user administration thing, where you change user accounts, didn't work
-Disabling everything non-microsoft in my startup and services, nothing
-Overclocking my graphics card--just in case, nothing
SO! My experts, please help a fellow photoshopper out! I am suffering here!

The most common cause of semi-random crashes we've seen is bad fonts (especially in 64 bit, where one of our attempts to work around bad fonts has a bug on 64 bit only).
What OS are you running? And are you using the 32 or 64 bit app?
We have also seen some drivers cause repeatable crashes, and the driver will be named in the crash report as the current module when the crash occurs.

I went to get my Ipod and it said to connect it to iTones, it's never done this before, but I have a lock code on it, so everytime I try and plug it in it says I must first enter the password. but it won't let me do so because I can not see anything on the screen but the icon telling me to plug it into iTones! does anyone know what to do???? or am I just S.O.L? has anyone else ever had this problem? if so please help me out! I would really like to have my Ipod back I'm going crazy not being able to do anything about this

IChat fonts driving me CRAZY!!!

It's probably not such a huge deal but i just can't understand why it's happening.
When I try to change the font in iChat it won't change! I select a different font in the list, the window shows the font, the text in the window changes to the font selected, and then as soon as I start typing another line it reverts back to a font that isn't even listed. So far I've:
- made sure the desired font is in the HD>Library>Fonts
- deleted all iChat preferences
- again reinstalled the desired font.
Nothing works, and what's even weirder is that the desired font works perfectly for incoming text.

This is not a problem I have had. I do not even have this Font to try ad replicate the problem.
Anyone else have this Font or this problem ?
You could try deleting the Font Book .plist and see if that is the problem.

Creating a score set - please help- I'm going crazy

OK- deep breath ...........I'm trying to create a score set for 4 instruments. I read the manual, then tried everything on p 765........... I started first with the tracks in the Arrange area.- with and without rubber bands - and because this didn't work, I scrubbed this and tried to simply set up thew score in the Score Editor.
It didn't work. I want to be able to see the music for 4 instruments - at one go -in the score editor. Is this possible ?
Please someone save my sanity and give me an blow- by- blow account how to achieve this. I've been on this for hours and can't see the wood for the trees now so am going out for a breath of fresh air.

You can look at the bottom of the arrange page.. But for 4 tracks I would open a score editor window by itself.. The score section is complex and not intuitive to say the least..
In the score editor, click on the 6th from the left box. it looks like a page of text (when you highlite it will turn blue).. That shows you the whole score, in a tradional page format.. If you still see only one track, double click somewhere other than the track, (space in between). Page will toggle between showing one track/ and all tracks..
To make life easier if you have many tracks to display = create a 'score set'. Label it, (band etc). reduce the size, 50 - 65% whatever. Then go under File in Logic, page set up.. Select the 90 turn, so now the pages longer side to side. You can see more measures at a time..
You may want to have several score sets, to help with editing. One of everything. another to show just the piano and guitar, etc. This will make it easier to edit, copy paste between staves etc.
The score editor is very powerful, if you take the time to figure it out, but documentation is vague

Programs Not Compiled Perfectly...Help! Driving Me Crazy!

With the appropiate lines highlighted, I just need to know on what is the correct statement that needs to be added, deleted, etc. that needs to be written in order to compile both programs correctly! That is to say, what The assignment is due tomorrow at 11:59 PM PST via e-mail. If possible...when replying back, could you highlight the appropiate

Please Help, My MacBook works crazy

New Mac user, I was hoping I'm done with all that "bugs on top of bugs" stuff.... but nope, I guess computer is always a computer, even when the pretty commercials say that it is supposed to be working... oh well.
Anyway away with my rant, and here are my problems:
1. This is the big one, iTunes 7 refused to work right, it kept quitting for no reason just about every 2 minutes. So I deleted I tunes 7.0 and wanted to intall iTunes 6.0.5 ... HOWEVER, my computer refuses to install it. During the installation it automatically selects everything as "Skip" and I can't install anything. How do I unskip it... and first of all what the **** is up with iTunes 7?
2. Quicktime doesn't play sound, now if this was some strange file extension on some strange website... i could understand. BUT i was trying to watch a webstream about the new Nano's right from the Apple website... and quicktime refuses to play the audio. Newest version of quicktime by the way, do I need to downgrade that as well?
3. On top of that when playing audio streams for online radio station, quicktime doesn't recognize it as an infinite stream... what it does is it loads it up and plays it and after 5 minutes or so it replays the 5 minutes it loaded again and again.
Please help

Yes, and this is something you want to do, problem or no problem. Get a Firewire external HD and clone your whole HD with SuperDuper! (basic use is free). You can then use Migration Assistant to restore all of your apps, files, settings etc. from the external to the new install on your HD. Of course, I would check that files will play before you use Migration Assistant.
I understand you are reluctant to take this step, and I agree that it is a bit of a job, and of course it still might not be necessary. But Migration Assistant makes it completely painless.

Please help i'm going crazy with what just happened

I was playing a game, then i wanted to quit, i pushed the menu button but my ipod touch just got in blank i got scared and started pushing all the buttons, now the screen is only in white, it's been like that for about an hour.. what should i do?

Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.

Help - nano driving me crazy

Have the latest edition of iTunes.
When I iniially connect my ipod, it will only upload songs from the library, and creates a new playlist from which it will always upload from. I've tried to get one of my playlists on there, but it simply won't replace anything aready on there. I've tried the follwing:
-Updating the paylist it updates from - says too much is already saved on nano
-deleting everthing on the nano from via itunes - only deletes song list temporarily and everything is still on there when I re-connect
-restoring my nano - will only upload from library again
-resetting my nano - no effect
Any other suggestions?

there won't be because the auto sync music is still there.
Select Manual update.....then in iTunes, select iPod in left hand pane, highlight all the music in the iPod and click, select clear.
Then set music preference to the playlist(s) that you want. Right click iPod to update.

The story is:
I have alot java class files under directory: c:\myproj\com\pin\sa
in each of the file, the package signature is: package com.pin.sa
Then I set the JavaVMInitArgs fVM_args; by setting the classpath to:c:\myproj
then I use: cls = (*fEnv).FindClass("com/pin/sa/frameWork") to find a class file called frameWork, but failed.
then i build a test file called test.class (it is just a simple file pls see below for the code)and put package com.pin.sa in it and put it in directory : c:\myproj\com\pin\sa, this means the test.class is under the same directory as the frameWork.class,
then I use cls = (*fEnv).FindClass("com/pin/sa/test"), and it SUCCEEDED!!!
I really don't understand why like this, they have same package signature and under same directory why different results.
In frameWork file, there are some imported packages, does this matter? And there is a static main() in it.
if you can give an example of how to set the classpath in JavaVMInitArgs fVM_args, and how to deal with the package signature, I will appreciate it very much

What are the packages that you are using in frameWork Class. Add the class path to those classes also. Also check the name of the .class file is exactly the same as frameWork and not FrameWork or framework etc.
Check whether you have correctly given the package declaration in the frameWork class.
If you dont have any problem, post the frameWork class definition also here or atleast the packages imported and the classpath set for those referred packages.

Array of CreditCard objects - PLEASE HELP!

My situation is this: I need to create an array of CreditCard objects. The problem is that when I try to invoke the methods getName, getNumber, or getLimit, the compiler recognizes the array (cardholders) as a variable.
My coding is this.

You are lacking basic Java knowledge, micksabox. The following tutorial is on Arrays in Java. The one after on the Java Collections Framework, you might want to learn about as the better solution for working with sets and lists of objects in Java.

E: drive full and trying to back up! driving me craaaazy please help

hey! my laptop is like 5 days old! i put all my old photos and music from itunes onto disks from my old laptop and put them onto this one. everything was fine until sunday! the laptop started a back up! i got a messege saying that the disk E: drive was full and to delete files ect... or i could change the settings! i tryed to change the back up to do this onto disk. but iv been told there should be a place to do this on the laptop and the the wall partions may not be set rite. i also keep getting a warning that my E: drive is full and to make space! i have phoned hp support and they say talk to the place i got the laptop from and so i did they said i could sent it back but that means removing everything! i have googled and seen loads of people with this prob so is there a way to fix this? someone please help its drivng me crazy! i have a hp pavilion g6 series. thaaaaaaaanks x

You need to re-run the backup program to unselect the E drive.
As a sidebar, it is actually unwise to backup to the same physical hard drive. You need to realize that you have a single hard drive , that is partitioned in hard disc C,D,E. If that physical hard drive were to crash, cease to function. burn-out, etc, you lose all of it. It is not separate drives.

Ipod not recognized, please help!

I am the recent owner of a 4th generation ipod nano, I also have a 2nd generation Ipod nano which works fine but when I plug in the new Ipod it says USB device not recognized and has malfuctioned. It is also not recognized by Itunes but my other Ipod works fine. I do not have the receipt for the Ipod so I cannot just go in and replace it unfortunately and I don;t think it is the cord because my other Ipod seems to work fine. I have tried updating my itunes and even uninstalled and reinstalled it but the same message pops up. The Ipod is dead and won't charge when connected to the Ipod but the screen turns on and it registers that it is connected. I have read a bunch of responses saying go in to the disk drivers and try and unistall and reinstall it but the Ipod just registers as unknown device and is only there for a few seconds because thats as long as the Ipod is recognized by the computer. Please help before I go crazy!
