Please help guys, i'm going crazy!

Hello everyone, i hope someone out there can help me cos i'm tearing my hair out!
Ok, so i've had my 80gb video ipod for less than a month and a few days ago when i went to update it, it said there was a corrupted file and i may have to restore it. which i did. Then, when it was loading back up again, the hold function on the ipod seems to have stopped working. The furthest i've got is the screen shows a list of languages to choose from, 'English' being at the top, but i can't select any because the hold function won't turn off!!!
I doubt that i've broken it in any way, i'm really careful with it
Any takers?! I would love someone forever if they knew the answer to this riddle!

David, thanks for setting that up! It's just kills me why Apple wont just give us the ability to go fullscreen and make it easy for us!
Your samples did work on the Mac, but completely bombed on the PC in IE and Firefox. I visited the apple site and found some QT movies that opened the QT player and went fullscreen, but they didn't always work on the PC. The problem with using the QT player outside of the HTML is I have several clips so I need some sort of navigation. Also, the fact that launching the player doesn't always work for everyone is a bigger problem for me.
I was originally using JW Flash Player and it was wonderful, but the CPU usage was HUGE when compared to QT. My movies are 960/540 and around 80 megs, it was using 120-150% of my CPU (each core is 100%). Fullscreen was great with FLASH, but the movies didn't play for users that had older hardware (1 cpu)
Any ideas on how I can still work with QT, can I pay someone money? LOL.

EMU 1820m install problem please help me I'm going crazy

I've brought the EMU 1820m two days ago and for two days now I've been looking everywhere for an answer.
So I plugged the card in the computer, I turn the power on and... Windows doesn't detect the card. I look on the net and apparently it's because I have to delete the previous sound card in the bios and desinstall them. OK. I do it.
I reboot again and again and windows still doen't recognize it. Nothing. It's plugged but windows doesn't see anything.I look on the net for various solutions: trying a different PCI slot, changing where it's plugged to the power supply, nothing...
I was so excited to buy this card and now the disappointment is even greater...... Can anybody help me???

Windows doesn't detect anything... It's not listed in the device manager... I will try to find another computer to see if it works...
By the way, the power supply cable has three plugs, one for the card, one for the power supply and one for the hard drive (if you don't have any cable left on the power supply)... Where do I plug it on the hard drive? I'm trying everything, I'm desesperate....

I just spent days and nights trying to learn as much as possible about web design and i think i was doing pretty good until i got to this problem. To reset the iPod without the hardware buttons,
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. All your wifi and bluetooth preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected. You will have to rejoin wifi networks and repair BT devices
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

TO CEO @ VERIZON OR TO SOMEONE WHO CARES*** PLEASE HELP ME *** BEFORE I GO CRAZY

I have a vortex by LG. I got it in feb.2011. I have had trouble with it since that day. Turning off all the time , screen locking up, sending txt to someone different ,SD card not working ,which I have handled all these problems myself by resetting/swiping it clean often (which is a pain) taking the battery out , turning it off for a few hours , blah blah blah ,you know all the stuff you do to have a phone on the go. I asked around & most other people who had this phone was pleased. I only know off 3 other people who have this phone. then about a 3wks ago the SD card wouldn't mount or just wouldn't read @ all. I tried everything I knew to do . I go to the Verizon store waited my entire lunch break ( 1 hour) finally someone tried to help me I told him my problem he said well your going have to buy a new SD card which was about 60$ . I felt I waited for nothing. I spent over an hour for him too hold my phone & tell me pay more money. he still couldn't tell me why it did this or how to fix it . Just pay more money . Well I had a extra SD card from my camera it worked then few day later starts the same thing , good thing I didn't buy one cause looks like I would have had to spend it again anyways , but I could @ least call out & get calls. Finally a few days later my screened locked up completely I tried all the blah blah blah stuff again. This time it was no fixing it . I go to a different Verizon store hoping to get better/faster help I walk in & tell the lady my problem again on my lunch break she picks up the phone dials customer service & hands me the phone. I think really I could have did this myself why are you people even here! So the guy on the phone says your still under warranty we will send you a new phone or u can upgrade & get a new phone I asked for what kind of price he said the price of the phone , I said no thanks I just paid 200$ for this phone & haven't even got to enjoy it , just send me a new phone he said it could take up to 5 days!!! What I said can , u get it here any faster he replied yes for 13$ I can ship it overnight but it would take 2 days uh, just thought he said overnight!!! I guess over night doesn't mean what it says but I said I don't feel I should pay it since I really didn't break my phone he said there was nothing he could do but it probably wouldn't take the full 5 days they just have to say that ... Wow OK so 5 days goes by without any phone to use . I finally get the phone but it take the full 5 days,plus the 2 days I tried to fix it to avoid the stores I follow the instruction to activate it thought it was fine but then the next morning I get a call @ work from my babysitter stating my phone still didn't work!! After work I go back to the 1st Verizon store (which I dreaded so much I would have rather shot myself in the foot , but I'm a nurse who needs my foot & phone) since I had no help from either stores guess it didn't matter which one I went too. After waiting a good 45 MINUTES for help they finally look @ my phone they were stumped on what was wrong cause it said it was activated but not working they finally call someone & the guy finally tell me its is activated under someone else's # ! OK so what do I do ?? The guy hands me the phone says they needs to verify my address ( which I thought to make sure I account holder ) I gave the phone back to the guy @ the store they talk for a few more MINUTES. & he said OK , I was like OK what ! Oh he didn't tell you we are going have to send you NEW phone again!!! Really I have to go another 6 days without a phone!! He offered if I brought an old phone back in(which I live 20 MINUTES away) he could activate that one till I get the new phone in... 1st off I don't keep old phones I recycle them ( thought that was a good thing)& even if I did have one it wouldn't be a smartphone & that's what I pay dearly for... ( a phone store who can't lend you a phone while they are fixing your phone that you didn't break even thou you are still paying them for a phone) MESSED UP RIGHT! He said it shouldn't be that long they are going to overnight it for free but it was Saturday So he said I should get it TUESDAY.**lol overnight what !! I have been usings my ipod mini for about 7 months now,an 2 days ago i tried to upload cd's to it.now for some reason it wont connect to my computer.i updated it already too an that didnt work an i also reset it an still nothing.i am going crazy trying to figure this out can someone please help me without having to delete itunes off my computer because then i lose my 800 songs!

And fyi, deleting iTunes from the computer does not cause you to lose the songs. The iTunes music folder remains unaffected.

I have a dell computer.. I have Windows XP I got itunes wiht a new ipod mini in the fall. everything was going great, I even upgraded to the new itunes and everything was fine until about a month ago when it just quit on me. when I try to open itunes a message popped up that says:
itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
it says I can send and error report, which I often do. It doesn't say anything of any importance: no numbers, no nothing.
I uninstalled Quicktimes and repaired itunes: didn't help.
I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes from the web 3 times: didn't help, it installed just fine, but itunes wont open.
I read another post and tried to install quick time separately, following the advice to disable all of my virus protecting stuff.. but it said it was interrupted before it was finished installing. I have a quicktime icon in the bottom right hand corner of my screen, it seems to be there on my computer but itunes still won't open.
I am at my wits end. I am not a technologically minded person and am so sick of this, however, I need my music and my ipod working and I want to download tv shows so I won't give up.

Well, installing over the web is never a good idea
with ANY software...
have you tried disabling your security software,
downloading the installer file to your hard drive,
and running the install?
Then turn your security software back on.
I'm having the same problem with my iTunes not opening and I installed the ewido anti-malware and nothing happened to me either. I'm just wondering how you disable the security software? I'm not too sure that I have one though, because my computer crashed and I don't think we have one installed yet. Please Help! Thanks!

Does my problem has anything to do with SSL for mail settings? Cause when I tried re-adding it says something that I should try without SSL, and I did what you said and it gives me this "The IMAP server pop.mail.yahoo.com is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the incoming mail server field". Ahh.. this is so annoying, Apple what are you doing to me?! Or is Yahoo doing this to me?!

Please help or I'm going back to onboard so

My Mic will not work. I just tested on my onboard sound card and it works. I disabled my onboard sound card. I made sure all settings were set SB audigy 2 ZS card. It is not muted. Volume is turned all the way up. I still get nothing but a whining noise through all my sattelite speakers. Did the channels get switched somehow? My speakers and mic are plugged into the correct places. So whats the deal? The only reason I bought this card is so I can use my Mic and have 5. surround. Please help me. I just spent all day going through settings and rearranging wires. PLEASE HELP - my wife is going to kill me! Cannot locate her "books"

OK - Here is the scoop! (Call me stupid!) We have about 14 blazillion pictures in iPhoto and I was attempting to manage them alittle better so I downloaded the freeware "iPhoto Buddy" to help manage the pics. Well, I obviously did not know what the heck I was doing and the next time I opened up iPhoto, it appeared that all our pictures were gone. I re-imported them into iPhoto and everything was great, except that I was not able to locate the phot albums that my wife has ordered and made via iphoto and mac.
Well she was OK with that (if she had to be) and so she proceeded to create the new "grandmother's" Christmas books and then I got stupid again and tried to find all the old albums she had made. Well, I saw on IphotoBuddy's help info that if you wanted to go back to y our original library - go to "Use Default Library" and that is what I did. Once that was finished - it appeared all was OK again, with all the OLD albums loaded back in iPhoto again, but now the one that she had spent HOURS on was missing. I had to reload the last month's pictures, but that was fairly painless.
SO - FIRST of all - how do I get rid of iPhotoBuddy (if and when that is appropriate?)
SECOND - how can I find the photo album that she has just made? She has nt ordered it yet, but she spend HOURS on it.
THIRD - can I "streamline" the "album" issues that I have? What do I need? iPhot library? 2003 library? 2004 library, etc? Please advise-

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. It's apparent that you have two iPhoto libraries in your Pictures folder, the original one and the new one with the new book. You can use iPB to move between the two libraries until the book is completed and purchased. Then delete the book library and go back to the original with all the albums.
You can use iPhoto Library Manager to move between the two also but iPLM will let you rename the libraries to better identify them. You can call the library with the book "Book Library" and the folder in the Pictures folder will be renamed Book Library.
OR, the paid version of iPhoto Library manager will let you copy rolls and/or albums from one library to another and keep keywords, comments, etc. intact. So you could copy all of the albums from the old library into the "Book Library" and let it become your primary library.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application, iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

I think you have to sign into your Amazon Kindle Account, find the book in your archive and delete it there. Otherwise you can delete it from the device and leave it in the archive, should you want to look at it again.

Approval process QUERY - Please help guys....

I have found some threads in this subject but non of them seem to work for me.
My need is :
when my employee tries to turn an order into an Invoice witch its card is set to groupname of 'over seas clients' the invoice will not be produced and the approval pop up will show.
this is what i tryed :
SELECT distinct 'true' FROM OINV T0 INNER JOIN OCRD T1 ON T0.CardCode = T1.CardCode INNER JOIN OCRG T2 ON T1.GroupCode = T2.GroupCode AND T2.GroupName 'Over seas clients' where T0.CardCode = $[$4.0.0]
nothing happens and the approval pop up never shows up.
Could someone Please help me with this query?

I thin approval process work like in this manner.
when you add any SO for particular condition matches then approval pop up will come, and then that SO gone to Approval. After approval user can able to make Invoice.
Hence i think in your case you need to made a query in SO that when the particular groupname is added then aproval should pop up.
Else you can kept the approval process in AR Invoice that if particular groupname is added then pop up.
For Approval process you need to select this query in Approval Template.

Hi, try disconnecting the KB & Mouse, or remove batteries if they're Wifi, does it still click?

i recently bought a satellite L505D-S5965..with windows vista
it is just over 2 months old..and has already crashed twice..
also yesterday morn.. it jst automatically got powered off in the middle of my work.
then it was unable to restart windows.. and kept on getting powered off automatically in the middle of the boot session.
then went on to windows startup trouble shooting.. could find no problem...
still no help.. kept on getting powered off
finally after 10 hours of struggle i re did the whole thing to factory settings..with the whole toshiba recovery thing... lost all my data.. then managed to get it started.. worked half way thru something and voila!! its the same problem all over again ..
it just turns off during sessions and then doesnt get restarted cos it keeps on turning off in the middle of the boot session..
PLEASE HELP!

What is the blue screen error message? Post it the next chance you get. (numbers and all)

Please help guys, i'm going crazy!
