Please help.. How can I show all my applications hide if the only icon left in my home sreen is the profile?.. Thanks for your helo my phone is 8120..

Welcome to the Apple forums:
Be sure your XP disk had SP2 embedded into XP, and not a separate file or patch.
Also be sure your disk is not an ISO image but a real disk, with files on it. You can look at them using your Mac. Insert the CD or DVD and doubleclick the disk icon.
You should see most or all of the following files and folders:
(HOMEWITHSP2)
AUTORUN.INF
DOCS
DOTNETFX
I386
README.HTM
SETUP.EXE
SETUPXP.HTM
SUPPORT
VALUEADD
WIN51
WIN51IC
WIN51IC.SP2
When you copied the disk, did you make sure your copy was Windows readable? Mac has several formats, one of which is Mac-only for data CDs. You need to select the universal mode, Mac and Windows for the data image and when burning the image.
Also be sure you selected to close or finalize the CD after burning or it cannot be read by Windows.

this resets the device to default as you got it
you can also look in homescreen settings you should be able to edit as i said earlier

I was filling out a VA form 5655 in Adobe, and twice today, I lost my file and I just cannot type all of this stuff again, because I had to do so much math and typing and more math. All of a sudden "bloop", it was gone. When I try to go into file, then revert, revert is not highlighted. I tried pulling up history and it said there was no history. I just don't know what else to do, and I need this for the morning. Please help? Thanks

I filled it out directly from the blank PDF online, and never got a chance
to save the whole document. I did however save it about 1/2 way through,
but yet cannot find that 1/2 of the document either. Thanks.

PS... this is not only a AS3 question, but also AS2 would work just fine...
This is going to be a hard one to communicate, so I will have example files attached...
How can I right click on a MC and have a custom menu, WHEN another movieclip is on a higher layer and overlapping that original MC (and this second movieclip does Not have a context menu)

Please help how to recover lost photos on 5S without backup

The initial update to iOS 8 failed and I used iTools to download the latest 8.0.2. Now my 5S goes to normal but all of the things were deleted after upgrade, especially the photos. I have to show the prototypes to my client tomorrow! How can I get the photos back ??? It's urgent! Please help !

It's sad to hear that, @Nrkpeomva1. Backup is always recommended with iOS device either with iTunes or iCloud. Then you can easily restore your lost files when needed. I am not 100% sure the following method works for you, at least you can give it a try. As I have used that method to retrive my deleted photos and ebooks successfully. A list of brief steps, more details please refer to this blog post:
Connect your iPhone to a PC or Mac (preferred).
Scan your iPhone disk with that app. Wait about an half hour for scanning.
Preview the files the app retrieved and select a local disk to store them.
Leave your comment here if there was any issue about that.

it makes the whole thing very cluttered - and whilst it may look like a feature and provide an extra selling point for marketing (which is why i'm guessing it's pushed forward) - it really decreases the phone's simplicity and usability.
please do consider this. I know you can remove it, but if you reset all the phones settings, it comes back.

PLEASE HELP! I have lost all my Emails and Addresses

I recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.3.9 and Mail 1.3.11. I don't know what happend but when I started my computer today all my personal settings were set back to the default settings, all my emails and addresses are gone, and in Safari all my bookmarked pages are gone. I did a search here for relevant solutions but it seems most issues have to do with converting to 10.4. I'm begging...... Can anyone please help me recover this info?

Please HELP very important video lost after restoring from backup

I used my iphone 4 to record me preposing to my fiance and then today I stupidly sync to computer and restore from my 3GS backup before backing up the video files. Is there anyway to get the video back? Please help this is the most important thing in our life. Anything, Anyone please help. I am very devastated right now!

Too be honest. If you recorded the video on the iPhone 4, and then synced the iPhone 4 to iTunes to the computer it is usually connected to, then the video should be backed up.
I'm not sure though, how you managed to have your iPhone 4 up and running, but then restore from a backup from your 3GS?? If you have synced your iPhone 4 to iTunes before, then the backup will have been from the iPhone 4. You get the option the first time you connect the iPhone 4 to iTunes, to either setup as a new device or restore from a backup (that's if you have had a iPhone previously). You can restore the iPhone (which would set it up has a new device, which would remove everything off of it). If you have done this, has far as I know the old information off of the iPhone, would be still there until you synced the iPhone to iTunes again.
In Windows, the library file for iTunes is in username (whatever you are called) music/iTunes, the library file is called iTunes Library.itl, also in this location is the iTunes/iTunes Media folder, in there should be any video/s that have been synced from your iPhone.
Other information off of the iPhone are in the following location:
(You will need to first make sure you have Windows set to show hidden files & folders), Username/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer

Please Help - Novice - ITunes update lost my sound.

I have spent all day trying to sort this out, please help.
My IPhone asked me to update ITunes to the latest version, I did this, updated the IPhone as well and then added some music, after it synced I noticed my sound icon had gone and when I tried to play music/video's there was no sound on the computer at all.
I uninstalled ITunes and Quick time and re-installed, no change, I did a system restore back a day and the sound came back but ITunes reverted to the older version and when I plugged in the IPhone is said it could not access it as the library was created on a newer version.
I use windows XP, have checked the Sound in Control Panel and nothing is registered, Direct X says no sound card attached, I have tried downloading Direct X again, in the Devices Manager is has a Multimedia device listed with the yellow? mark, I have gone through trying to update drivers but nothing works.
The only way I can get the sound back is a system restore but then ITunes is out of date and will not access my phone, if I then update ITunes from the website it takes off the sound again so I am going round in circles, has anyone else had this problem or has anyone got any advise.. please keep in mind I am not very technical..

try just move the .dll file from C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes (or C:\Program Files\iTunes for window 32 bit) to desktop. reboot should fix it. if not you have to reinstall itunes(http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923) choose repair if one component does not work.

ITunes Sharing Please Help, I am totally lost!

I have two macs (wireless) and one pc (wired) running from a netgear dg834g v3
All I want to do is iTunes share!!!
It works between the macs fine, but with the pc i have to close both my macbook and pc itunes then restart the macbook itunes and the pc for it to work again for a while.
Could someone step by step me through this, I'm pretty good on computers but am no networking expert.
Anyhelp would be so appreciated, I have struggled with this for ages!

My ipod is remaining with a white/blank screen, it is able to play music, i can hear it, but there are no words, and i did not damage it in anyway, no water or physical damage, this is so strange, please let me know if you have any solutions...thanks much

NEVER MIND I FIXED MY PROBLEM.....I am disappointed i didn't find much help on here....anyways a friend of mine gave me this in my email....i hope i can be of some help to anyone else who had the same problem
BLANK SCREEN PROBLEM:
This is caused because the contrast setting on iPL is quite buggy. When you boot iPL for the first time, the screen may be all dark or completely blank. To fix this you can either turn your iPod sideways until you see something then go to ‘Settings’ and then ‘Contrast’ and fiddle with it until you see the Linux. If this does not work, follow this procedure:
1. Spin around the click wheel and you should hear some clicking sounds. This means iPL is working.
2. Spin the click wheel around COUNTER-CLOCKWISE until the clicking stops. This will set the selector to the very top.
3. Spin the wheel CLOCK WISE until you hear 2 clicks. This will put the selector to ‘Settings’. Do this nice and slow. Now press the middle button to select it.
4. Spin the wheel CLOCKWISE until you hear 4 clicks. This should select the contrast menu. Press the action button to enter it.
5. Turn the wheel CLOCKWISE to make the screen darker, and COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to make it lighter. The wheel is very sensitive to this so do it slow.
6. If there is no sound during this process, try going to a very bright area and attempting to see the black selector bar on the screen.
If these both don’t work, you’re in trouble! Use the Apple restore tool to restore your iPod and try again!

Please Help Me Find My Lost Library!

I have iPhoto 2 but I'm hoping someone can help me. I have an iBook G4 and I have had a lot of trouble with the libraries when they get full. I try to follow directions in Help but they don't make sense. At least today, I backed up my most recent library on a CD and at least have that because I have already lost the original. There are all of these folders with albums and different years but I am unable to pull up previous libraries. I can't believe there isn't an easier way to go back and forth between libraries. I have dragged a bunch of things to the trash that had nothing in them when I opened them but have not trashed them yet. I can't believe this has to be this difficult. I guess I tampered too much. Please can someone help me? Noel

Hi, thank you for your response. I will try your suggestion. I had two libraries. The one I just lost had 293 photos in it and I followed the instructions in the iPhoto help viewer, moving the library to another location and creating a new one. I tried to get it back and couldn't find it. At least I had burned it on a CD. The things I have in my Trash are things like Archive, Photo Library 2,3 and 4. I never had that many. Also there were 2 library folders that had 5 items in each and they were identical but whenever I go into a folder and click on an icon, it just brings up more pictures of folders with numbers on them. Maybe I need to find a Dummies book on iPhoto. I've had Macs for years but never had as much trouble as I've had with my laptopand iPhoto. The directions in the Help Viewer just don't make sense. I will get back to you after trying your suggestion. I have tried to bring back other libraries listed under Pictures in Finder but I get messages saying I need to create an application to open them. I usually don't have this much trouble but this has me stumped. Thank you, Noel

Please Help: Black screen on Start up.

We lost our power due to a storm yesterday. My week old intel iMac was asleep when the power was cut and when I re-booted, all I got was the start up sound and then a black screen.
The light in the mouse is visible and when the spacebar is pressed I hear the error sound.
I have re-set the pram several times as well as left it un-plugged for and an hour. No change.
Any ideas?

Insert your installation disk, restart your Mac while holding the 'C' key down. It will take a little longer, but once booted up, choose File>Utilities>Disk Utility and Repair the Disk. Then restart as normal and see if that helps. You may need something more robust from a 3rd party, like DiskWarrior (which I think should be owned by all Mac users personally), to perform a proper repair. But anyway, try this and post back.
