Please help - how to copy DVD to computer so that it will play on computer

I apologize if this is the wrong forum, but I am stuck. I have a DVD of my son-in-law's memorial service that I need to copy onto my computer in a playable form. The DVD itself works great on both the TV, and on the computer (playing with iDVD on the latter). However, I simply do not know how to copy the contents of the DVD to my hard drive so that it will play directly from the drive, and so that I can place the video file in my .Mac public folder for relatives to download. When I open (not play) the DVD, I see two folders: AUDIO_TS which is empty, and VIDEO_TS, which contains files. I have copied these to my hard drive, and I have also made a disk image of the DVD on my drive. However, neither of these gives me a file on which I can click and get it to play. (If I insert the DVD itself into the computer, iDVD launches and the movie plays). Please help. Thank you!

I just started learning AE CS5.5 and I am stuck.
I am trying to duplicate or copy the attributes from a jpeg file in an existing layer in a comp that has already been created. I am not interested in duplicating the image, just the attributes (transform, material options and other imbedded characteristics that are part of this file)
The file I want to apply these same attributes to is a .psd file which has multiple layers I want to apply these same effects to.
How do I duplicate these attributes so they retain the same settings?

Duplicate the layer with the effects & keyframes & whatnot; yes, duplicate the layer.
Highlight the duplicated layer, then Option-drag the replacement footage from the project window onto this duplicated layer. Poof! Done!
I guess it would be alt-drag on a windows box.

Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not synced. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not touched with the iTunes sync process. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer which is not handled by iTunes. Most importing software includes an option to delete the photos/videos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete. If is my understanding that some Windows import software supports importing photos from the Camera Roll, but not videos. Regardless, the import software should not delete the photos/videos from the Camera Roll unless you set the app to do so.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are included with your iPhone's backup. If you synced your iPhone with iTunes before the videos on the Camera Roll went missing and you haven't synced your iPhone with iTunes since they went missing, you can try restoring the iPhone with iTunes from the iPhone's backup. Don't sync the iPhone with iTunes again and decline the prompt to update the iPhone's backup after selecting Restore.

If you have a pc, when you plug your iPad in you should see the windows pop up window offering to backup the photos. Do that and it will save all your photos and videos to your computer where you can then sync them back to your new one.
If the pop up doesn't come up, double click on my computer and navigate your way to the iPad. Double cick on it an d navigate to the DCIM folder. Drag your photos and videos to your pc, then sync them back onto your iPad.

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device
1. iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
2. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen

     If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
     below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
     simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
     same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). Not true. The music and pic sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You really should transfer everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your computer. Since you do not have access to the old computer, then use your backup copy of the old computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you would have to transfer itunes purchased as described earlier. Any other itunes content would be lost.
You can e-mail photo library pics to yourself, but they will not be of the original quality.
Before syncing, enter at least one unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. When you first sync, then you should get the option to merge the data.

You do realise that wiping the disk means that everything on the disk is erased. Everything. Photos, music, emails, ...
So the first piece of advice is to make sure you have a back up of everything.
You need the OS disk to reintsall the operating system. You will use that disk first to erase the drive, then to reinstall the OS.

Your "other" of 6 GB may include corrupted data or file sytem errors. If after removing the messages there is still >2GB, you will need to restore the phone in iTunes, first using a backup (made after deleting the messages) and if needed as a new iPhone.

Have your friend the provided the phone contact them. Based on your statements I am concluding he was or still is an AT&T customer, that is one of the requirements of getting the device unlocked.

there is a complicated way to work with just the mobile device support but its simpler just to uninstall itunes and related components and then reinstall itunes
ur music will be fine, u will just lose the playlists. but ur mobile device support will be working again.
