Please help I accidentally did a hard reset...
on my airport extreme
I have a wireless network that has 4 imacs and 3 powerbooks accessing it. There are 3 airport extremes and 2 airport express'. Each one has a name like "living room" or "hallway".
Anyway when I reset it, it went back to its original settings "apple_network XXXXXX" or whatever.
How do I find out what the old configuration is? The name of the wireless network I was using initially and want it to connect to, isn't coming up in the networks menu. Obviosly the network dosen't recognize it cause it's settings have changed.
Mind you I don't know the name of the airport was or what the location it had?
It's possible that there's a profile defined with your old settings if you did a hard reset and not a factory reset. Run Airport Admin Utility and bring up the Express's configuration. Click on the Profiles tool bar icon and if there's a profile defined, select it. Then click Update.
If there isn't a profile defined, your out of luck: you'll have to somehow set up the Express from scratch again. When you do manage to get it set up again, I would strongly advise that your immediately go into Airport Admin Utility and define a profile.

My grandson played with my 4th generation iPod touch and the phone icon and contacts icon are gone. I have gone to settings and done the "reset all settings" and "reset home screen layout" with no success. I also did a hard reset. No luck. I can get to my apps through the search screen but no icons.Help?

I did a hard reset today to erase all my stored messages ,The reseting was in process and after i connect to I tunes it started to SYNC and later only Apple logo is appearing. Please help what should i do.
I have been having problems with my atv 3 not transmitting/receiving 5.1 surround. Whether I stream from my computer or watch movies, I am getting no 5.1 audio. The atv won't even show the option for surround. I tried to restore and reset the device but it didn't help.
I haven't had any problems with missing apps or freezing or anything similar to what you are experiencing. This update has many bugs. Other threads have reported even more problems. Hopefully I can go back to the previous update. -

Other? 2.41GB .__.

Other is usually around 1 GB...
A ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup...
But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup...
Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

Apps frozen in transition after apple genius bar did a hard reset, cant get thru app store either
Went to apple genius bar after 6 hours of trying to fix iphone 4s: couldn't send/rec photo txt msgs, get voicemail alerts, update software upgrades or back up files in icloud. They did a hard reset and fixed those issues, however the majority of my apps are frozen in either blank grey boxes or dim grey boxes with app icon showing, they saved my contacts to icloud and pics to dropbox (which is now a frozen app that I can't access). Does anyone know what my next step is? I have only had the phone 6 months and don't wanna re buy but I use for work too so need to know whats going on? Also tried to install totally different app from app store and couldn't.

iPhone 5s doesn't ring and goes directly to voice mail. Do not disturb is disabled. Have reset network settings and did a hard reset. What am I missing?
Call your phone carrier - that's a problem for them to resolve.

My phone will not turn on. I did a hard reset but all that my screen will show is a picture indicating I should connect the power cord to iTunes (power cord symbol with an arrow iTunes icon).I don't know my serial # and I do not have acces to my laptop.
The serial number has nothing to do with this.
YOur phone is in recovery mode.
You will need access to a computer with itunes on it to restore your phone.

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

I did a hard reset on my Iphone 5, when it was resetting black lines with white text popped up at the top of the screen. Last line says _fetchBorrowedList:881 number of borrowed blocks 16. It is stuck at this point and will do nothing. Tried another hard reset and the same thing happened. Any Ideas??
Make an appointment at the genius bar and get the screen replaced if that's available in your area ($149) or get the phone replaced if it's not or if the damage is more extensive ($269).

The iPhone is telling you it is in recovery mode. Connect it to your computer and restore in iTunes

I did use the number lock then i did a gard reset to resolve a frozen app. Now the number lock will not accept my number. Is there a default number, or can I somehow disable the number lock?
There is no default passcode that will unlock your iPad.
You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
You will probably have to use recovery mode

Please help... External Hard Drive not mounting
Hello, Please help me if you can:
I have all of my data backed up onto a Seagate External Hard Drive, purchased just a few months ago. I just got a new laptop (MacBook Air) and need to get my data off of my hard drive, but it isn't showing up on my Desktop or Finder. It shows up in Disk Utility, but when I ask it to "repair" it says:
"Invalid B-tree node size
The volume could not be verified completely.
Volume repair complete.Updating boot support partitions for the volume as required.Error: Disk Utility can’t repair this disk. Back up as many of your files as possible, reformat the disk, and restore your backed-up files."
The problem started after I added some data to it - I accidentally unplugged the Drive without Ejecting first. The next time I plugged it in it allowed me to view my files but not add anything else to the Drive, and now when I plug it in it doesn't even appear. I am running Lion.
I would be happy to back up the files as it says, but as it doesn't show up anywhere I can't find the files to access. Can anyone help me find a way to get the files off of the disk, or fix the disk so that it is readable?Hi, Brian, and welcome to the Discussions!
You might perhaps launch System Profiler (from Applications/Utilities) and see if the device is listed there under the FireWire heading in Hardware Overview.
Can you hear the LaCie spin up when powered on?
You might download the free trial version of Data Rescue II and launch it to see if it recognizes the drive. This software often does when DW or Disk Utility won't. If it does, run a scan with it to see if the data on the volume is viewable.
You can test the FireWire port with another Firewire device, or by hooking up to another Mac via a FW cable and trying to boot into FW Target Disk Mode. Visibly check the port at the Mac end first to insure that there are no bent pins at the connector (so you won't damage another device).
You can try resetting a "dead" FireWire port by shutting down, unplugging the external FireWire devices, and disconnecting the Mac's power cord for thirty minutes or so. Before doing this, run Disk Utility's Repair Permissions process on the startup volume first, to see if that corrects it.
