Please help - i cloud back up :(

hi all, just got a replacement phone ( i4) as mine conked out!
i have however backed up from one that was done in feb! instead of one from this morning(had the option as well), lost loads of photos and vids of my son so im devastated
is there any way i can reset and use the back up from this morning to retrieve these, god im praying there is!

Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Let it reboot, and step through the setup screens until you see the option to "Set Up as New iPhone" or "Restore from Backup."

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312

Although it's a better bet with a 2330 than a 2349, I'd try running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

I have been an iTunes user some years ago - and now want to go back, but I have questions and trouble. Please assist...
Since iTunes could not handle my growing library (then 50.000, now 100.000 tracks) on my old computer (tragically slow...) I migrated my whole library to MediaMonkey. I felt like in heaven. What a much more flexible database that is, with LOTS of pleasant editing and grouping options.
But now, after a few years MediaMonkey the heaven became ****: it keeps messing up my library data, merges parts of tracks from different songs, attaches wrong art work to songs etc. etc.
Conclusion: iTunes is much more rigid and edit-unfriendly, but also more reliable and stable. And the newer version works faster with big libraries.
So today I took the final step to start going back to iTunes, version 11.0.1.12 now.
I experience the following problems:
1. Around 8.000 of my MediaMonkey (MM) tracks have not been imported. Why not?
2. Most of the MM comments do not appear in the IT comment fields. Why not? Where are they? Why can some be imported, others not? Can I redo it, maybe with the help of MP3Tag, that I came across in the past?
3. A few hundred (maybe more) tracks have a ! on the left of the title, meaning that the corresponding file can not be found. Why not? If I try to locate it manually it is always there (with the 10 tracks I 'relocated' so far). So why can't IT find them?
4.As I remember IT had a song/track list view with a separate sqaure window in the left hand bottom corner of the cover art of the playing song . But I cannot find how I can get that back. Now I only see a thumbnail in the top player, on the left of the playing title. Or is my memory wrong, did only MM have such 'cover art window'? If IT has such window as well, how to re-create it?
5. Does iTunes STILL have no proper option to store 'multiple artists or genres' in one field? In MM I could store a certain duet as 'Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli' - using the comma as a separator between two individual artists. Same as with genres: 'classical, instrumental, romantic'. But in spite of popular requests IT still seems to 'merge' such combinations as one artist (called 'Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli') etc. Am I correct? Any hope for improvement at this point?
6. Is there a way to view the number of tracks in the total library? Or the number of selected items?
7. Any hopes that multi-track-editing will be made possible soon? So that I do not have to add 'The Messiah' in the front of each individual track title of that work?
8. Do iTunes developers publish anywhere there plans for future enhancements? So that customers can see what is in the pipeline?

Question 6 has been answered by myself: I found back how to view the status bar with the number of (selected) tracks.

Ran the 'Refresh' mode, now nothing is compatible with my version of firefox? No Add-ons, Extensions or Themes. Please help me get back to what I had.

I opened Firefox, and I had a bar along the bottom saying it needed to be optimized, so I could refresh Firefox. I understood that it would take it back to its original state, but I thought that I could add things that I wanted. But when it was "Refreshed", I could not add anything. Themes are "Not compatible with my version of Firefox". Add-ons do download, but I cannot install them. It takes me to a page that is too confusing for a non-tech person like me (a windows page that wants me to find the program that will install it). So I gave up (I also don't have alot of time to fix this). I checked for "updates" hoping that I could update the version and then add a theme, add-ons, extensions, etc. But it is up-to-date. Thank you for your help.

Normally, when you try to install an extension from the Mozilla Add-ons site, you get a progress bar that drops down temporarily from the address bar, and then a pop-up dialog asking you to approve the installation. Do you get either of those or just nothing happens?

Could you test with the avast! extension disabled in case it is blocking these normal actions? You can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then find avast! on the right side and click Disable.
Often a link will appear above a disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

I'm not getting a clear picture at all of what problems you're seeing. If you are seeing online accounts have their passwords changed, those accounts are being hacked. Someone may already have access to some account and is using that access to reset passwords on other accounts. Change the password on EVERY online account you have. Be sure to use a strong password, and don't use the same password on more than one site.
If you are seeing changes to your bookmarks and browser history, your Apple ID may be one of the accounts that has been hacked. After changing the password on your Apple ID, you need to lock it down with two-factor authentication:

Beyond that, we will need additional details about what specific symptoms you're seeing in order to help further. One thing I can say, though, is that these problems are very unlikely to be due to any kind of malware. See my Mac Malware Guide to learn more on that topic.

I am using a mac since last year, i had created 2 user accounts which was useless to me so i deleted one account without creating any backup. because of that all my photos which where saved in my user account was deleted, wherein i had selected the option of create a image for my files.....
Now please can you suggest how can i get my photos back which i had previously saved in my iPhoto of my previous account.....

Opening in the side bar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website.<br />
You can check the Properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the side bar (Ctrl+B; Cmd+B on Mac).<br />
In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Details pane at the bottom right.<br />
Make sure that "Load this bookmark in the side bar" is not selected.

Sounds like your operating system asking for your admin username and password so it can write files on your hard drive.
Not Adobe software asking for your Adobe ID and password.

PLEASE HELP- iPod Mac back to PC

Ok had my iPod Nano on my home PC. Used the Library and iPod updated automatically when inserted into PC. But my Pc got serious virus and iTunes was unavailable.
I then brought my iPod into college plugged it into a MAC but changed the iPod settings to DO NOT 'Automatically' UPDATE or something like that. On the MAC I was able to simply drag Mp3 files into the iPod icon with no use of a iTunes library as there were no songs in this MAC library.
PC got fixed so iTunes was reinstalled by the computer engineer. I plugged iPod into PC and iPod icon isn’t coming up in iTunes like on the MAC.
I tried to put it to Disc Mode and then went into my Computer Removable Disc ‘F’ I was going to FORMAT it but doesn’t that wipe all songs from iPod? I really do not want to do that- 700+songs. The main thing it I don’t want to lose songs but it seems like I can’t update iPod unless I get to a MAC!

Some things to keep in mind: An iPod formatted for the Mac, will only work on the Mac - Windows will not be able to read it. The inverse, however, is not true - Macs can read PC formatted iPods. You will also want to check and make sure both iPod are up to date in terms of firmware (most recent updater) as well as the most recent version of iTunes on both machines.

I recently canceled my CS Cloud subscription about 3 weeks ago and went back to using CS6. I was using CS6 Creative Suite without a problem until 2 days ago. Now my CS6 programs (AI, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) won't open. Instead the Adobe Application Manager keeps popping up to renew the subscription, see below insert.
I have chatted with Adobe customer support numerous times but when it comes to transferring me to their technical support, the chat mysteriously becomes unavailable. The only time the transfer went through, I was advised to remove CS6 Creative Suite using Cleaner Tool and reinstall, which I did but my CS6 still does not open and the AAM keeps popping up giving me the same message to renew the subscription. The AI/Photohop icons just keep bouncing up and down without opening while the AAM pops up.
What can I do to stop this annoying AAM from popping up and open my CS6? I just want my CS6 to open up again. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Please help!

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Need ORIGINAL software back!! PLEASE PLEASE help!!!!!

OMGOMGOMG...I was trying to do some clever things with my Nano (4gb 3rd) and now something is terribly wrong. Everything I had on it (tunes, pictures, etc) are GONE...completely. There is nothing on it, but yet I only have 512kb showing available!!! When trying to do some customization, the directions prompted me to use some firmware and some iPod wizard thingy...and then things went nuts from there.
I did a reset, but everything is still the same. When I go into my iPod through MY COMPUTER (windows), there are a ton of folders with weird symbols as names and I cannot open ANY of them. NONE! And one folder is like over 3gb and when I hover over it with my mouse, it shows "EMPTY".
I am SICK over this. I don't think technically-challenged people should be trying neat things..and I learned my lesson. Please help get me back to my original Nano state!!!!
