Please Help: I could not save my Premiere CC and now Premiere won't open!
I've been working on this project (on a Mac) for several weeks without any problems Today I rendered my sequence. I also deleted some files from my computer while it was rendering to make extra space.
First I got this message: You do not have write access to the directory where this project is located. Select "Save As" from the File menu to save the project to a new location."
When I try to save the project to a new location on my computer, I get the same message again.
I tried to save the project to an external drive, and the system crashed. "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project."
Not only does Premiere not re-open my project, it refuses to reopen at all. When I try to reopen it I get the "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project."
I'm scared! Please help.

May just be the way I work (and I'm on Windows) but I never do ANYTHING else while PPro is working

As mentioned - I was trying to set up an iPod Touch, and it kept telling me "open iTunes," so it dawned on me that I probably needed to update it. So I updated it, and now it just doesn't open (it bounces once, and that's it).
For added info:
I have a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
Technically I keep all my music on an external hard drive, but I don't think anything is corrupted (because it was working fine just before I updated it).

Try resetting your System Management Controller or SMC then launch iTunes after processing these steps. If the issue persists, try downloading a fresh copy of iTunes by accessing the second link below.

Could not save because file was already in use or left open
I am have several problems with Adobe Photoshop CS4. I call up Adobe for help, I pay 50.00 or 60.00 for their help with these situations that I am having. Adobe concludes the phone call saying they are closing the case cause the problem has been resolved. I told them it has not been resolved I am still having problems then the person hangs up on me. I call back cause the problems still persists, the tech person told me that I had to pay another 50.00-60.00 for the
tech support. I told him that I already paid and that I still need help, the tech guy told me that the case was closed cause it was resolved. I told them it was not
resolved and I am needing help with this particular issue. The tech person kept saying that the issue was resolved and if I needed more help that I had to pay.
This time I hung up on him and while I did that I said that the Apple Support Community was way more helpful and it was free.
So here I am 6 months later and tried everything, Here are the problems that I am having.
1. CS4 keeps quitting unexpectedly with no cause no error nothing. The blue light under the CS4 Ps is still lit and wont let me reopen the file, I then have to force quit the program. I then get these windows asking if I want to send a report, I click ignore cause I am tired of filling out those things. So I try to open the
photoshop file and I get the blue window with the Ps logo on it, its scanning everything but then it stops responding when the scan reaches the part where it says scanning memory and freezes. I then have to force quit the program again, I have to do this 5 times before it will open the file. Then Ps will unexpectedly quit after 2 hrs of working and starts the B.S. all over again. I dont know what is wrong with CS4. Other times it runs really slow and glitchy. It also happens on my Mac Book Pro, iMac and of course my Mac Pro.
I know its not the computers or the settings or anything interacting with it. I checked everything extensively from the terminal to permissions and back to the program itself and everything in between. I am needing help, the Adobe forums are of no use, I cant find anything there.
2. I keep getting this error and I am not sure what it is, this only happens when I use Ps CS4 and yes it happens on all my other Apple computers.
Error: "could not save because file was already in use or left open" not sure how to fixt this, I have already tried the permissions and it did not seem to work.
All my computers run OS X Lion version 10.7.3. I had these problems even before I upgraded to Lion, 2 months later after Lion came out. These problems have been going on since Snow Leopard. All my Macs are up to date and I did use the Disk Utilities on everything... Please help me.First off are you editing a photo that you have placed into indesign if so the in use or left open issue is a common one, the only help is to go to indesign move the picture by nugging it then go back to photoshop and try saving again, if this does not work close the indesign file then save.
On the other issue of photoshop crashing, One thing I would try would be to create another user account, Start up photoshop and only it and work with it. The reason why is to see if maybe there are some 3rd party software you have loaded on your systems that might be causing the issues. "Ya never know"
I would assume you have reinstalled photoshop on lion. Do you still have older version of OSX installed, if so try booting to them and working with photoshop to see if it works there.

If prefs are the same as Settings on a MAC, OK, it would have been more
clear to me if you had said Settings since I didn't see anything related to

I changed my primary email address because I could not access my old email and now my new iphone asks me to sign in to my old account in order to backup my apps and music from my icloud. when I try to sign in using my password it says it is the wrong password.
If you are only updating apps, that's normal Apps and other purchased media are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them. You also don't back up apps or music to iCloud, the only thing backed up to iCloud is your app data, which is part of your iCloud backup by default.
Is your phone signed into the old ID in Settings>iCloud? -

That error message suggest you have a permissions issue. Make sure you have full read/write privileges for the Drive/ Folder location that you are copying the files to.

I installed the new version thinking it would be the same, It was horrible! uninstalled it... Installed the older version and now it won't open and when I try it says it can't because the library can't open because it was used on a newer version. Come on! I just want my music! How do I open this and get my music back.

Thank you doesn't say it strongly enough, but THANK YOU b noir and Lorraine for your help. I was to the boiling point last night and starting to get there tonight. Now I am resting easy and thankful that there is a community of computer users out there who care enough to troubleshoot problems together and work together to figure out a solution--and then to take the time to post and share information.
I would STRONGLY suggest that anyone who is having the iTunes issues where iTunes just plain won't open at all after downloading the newest version and has a pc with Norton Internet Security 2005 try the "Lorraine Method."
I am so happy I think I might sing. Or not--I will let my songs on iTunes do the singing for me now that I can again!!!!!!!
And to those still looking for answers--be patient--I now know how incredibly frustrating this can be and I hope that you all find your solutions very very soon!!

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I just updated itunes to 11.1.3 on my laptop and now it won't open. It does not respond to trying "safe mode" either. Anyone have an idea as to what to do?
I just uninstalled it and am waiting for it to reinstall. I sincerely hope that I have not lost everything that I worked on so hard. Now that mobile me is gone, I have not been able to go between devices to transfer things. I was merely trying to take a document I had worked on and open it in pages, but it said my version was too old. When I updated, it wouldn't load. Now I cannot do anything. I hope that the reinstall fixes it without losing everything. Please advise!!! Yes, I am in panic mode.

My premiere project file size just went from 190MB to 5.61GB... and now it won't open! Anyone know how this happened? Or how to prevent it from happening again? Thankfully I saved a backup project of the 190MB file size.

I installed Lion and now CS4 won't open. I get a note that sayd "you need to install Java runing, but you are not connected to the internet (BUT I AM CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET).
