I just configure my corporative mail on my Nokia E52 and start to configure other stuf.
Menu - Email - Settings - PIM - Applications - Contact -
Contact sync (press YES)
Inital sync Delete items on phone (but i didnt saw this)
Now my contact list is empty
What shall i do?.....Please Help me, i need those Contact

A long shot but you might try using the phone to send an email to the phone asking the owner to call their mobile phone. If the owner has a computer they may get the email and get in contact with you.
But Roger's suggerstion of turning it over to the police is the best bet.

Please help. I lost my i phone 4 and have now received my new SIM. My friend has kindly lent me her old i phone 3 until I get another phone. The problem is that I got a new laptop at Christmas and never connected my old phone to it before I lost it.
Ive downloaded i tunes onto the new laptop and connected the i phone 3 but all the info from my old phone is not there (numbers, music etc)

Look. It doesn't matter how many times you repeat yourself. The answer is the same. The only way you're going to find it is by getting up off your backside and looking for it. Why you're so concerned, I'm not sure. If you find it, you will just have to turn it (or the replacement) over to the insurance company. Unless it's your intent to commit fraud...

You did not accidentally "back up" your phone. A backup is the process of making a copy of the data on a device for use in data recovery. What you did was "restore" to your phone a backup that had been previously made of someone else's device.
You need to force the phone into recovery mode (google is your friend) and restore it as a NEW device. Then either restore it from YOUR backup, or set it up as a new phone.

PLEASE HELP!!! Contacts don't show up!

So after updating today, there are no contacts on my contact list. However my recent conversations are still there, and i am still a part of the groups im in. I have asked my contacts if I still show up in their contact list, and i do. But they dont show up in mine. I get the option to add them to my contacts, and when i click that nothing happens, it just dissapears. Then if i click off that specific chat and go back into the options reappears. Ive tried restarting Skype multiple times, and have logged in and out multiple times.
Please help me ASAP!

my computer froze up & went styupid about 1/2 hr ago & when i restarted my ipod has been wiped!!! ive lost 10 000 songs! please tell me i can get them back!
ive tried restarting the ipod with select/menu button, didnt do anything. whenn use the ipod itself it says i have no songs or videos but my photos have stayed on there. also when i try to restore it on the computer it says i have 10Gb left which leads me to believe the songs are still on there & something just went wrong. please help it will take me years to get all these songs some were from very rare albums.

Most of your sources are illegal; friends, LimeWire, etc... Anyhow, try first updating your iPod's firmware; iPod Updater - Version 1.1.1. If that doesn't work, restore your iPod with that same updater. Restoring your iPod will erase all the files on your iPod. You'll have to put all the files on your iPod back on your computer. Check out the following programs...

YamiPod
Both will rip files from your iPod, and place them in a specified folder on your computer.

I have a big problem with my NOKIA E71
This is the second time I lost all my messages and my Mail Box.
The story is : when I was chatting using MSN messenger on my E71
The connections failed many times so I restarted my E71, suddenly after restart
I did not find any messages or any emails in my Inbox and Mailbox , the second problem is the design of lock on E71 screen was changed to white circle form however before that it has a rectangular form.
Is the problem with the software or with my card memory because I used to save all my massages on memory card?

My E71 also experienced the same problem. It lost all text messages, emails and some folders on the memory card. Will someone from Nokia please tell us what is happening.

I have an ipod photo which i have had for nearly two years. I had over 400 songs in it.
i was listening to my ipod last night on my speakers, and this morning i have tried to listen to it again and all the songs have disappeared. my hard drive on my computer recently crashed and i had to download itunes again. i had plugged my ipod in it with no problems and listened to music after that but now evrything keeps telling me i have 3 songs on it( i don't even know what these songs are- i never loaded them on). I had a few photos on the ipod that are still there but no songs.
Please help - where are my songs and can i get them back

Sorry this is a long post but I'm a bit desperate and hope you can help:
I dont have a PC or ipad or anything but do have an iphone 5 and over the weekend my emails (to my live.com account) weren't sending off my phone.
So I deleted the live/hotmail account and reinstalled the account. I noticed that upon re-installation there was no option for 'contacts', just 'notes' and 'calendar' but I didnt pay it much attention as I have an exchange account listed on my phone which features contacts, email, notes, calendar etc etc.
Yesterday out of the blue some of my contacts went missing (after sending a text to a person, a few hours later their name vanished). I deduced that all the contacts that had vanished were email addresses and newer numbers (over the past few years).
I still had the 334 numbers I've accumulated over the past 10 years.
So today - after looking at apple community help sites - I took the following steps:
- Checked all contacts groups were ticked (they were)
- Tried switching the contacts box on and off.
- I deleted my newly installed Live Account as it seemed unnecessary as I could send/receive emails on my exchange account.
- I then deleted my exchange account and re-installed it.
- Hey presto, all the numbers and emails addresses which had vanished came back.
- BUT DOOM... all my initial numbers have gone. This is really bad (relatives, work mates, boss etc etc all lost).
- So then I tried to look at how to ask iCloud to sync contacts but couldn't really find an answer anywhere.
- So I tried to log into my iCloud on a public computer to check what contacts I had and move them manually but after logging on (for first time ever) using my iCloud email address and also my live.com email address, no contacts we listed as being in the Cloud.
- In terms of synching data all I could find was an instruction to turn the 'contacts' tab in icloud off (whilst keeping contacts on iphone) then switching it back on and asking it to merge.
But this didnt achieve anything new.
- So I repeated the step above and then as instructed on one post selected iCloud backup. This hasn't helped either and I'm worried that I have updated my icloud to only include my Exchange contacts and not my old numbers.
So I'm panicking that i'll never get my important numbers back! Any advice?
My only glimmer of hope is that when I changed from iphone 4 to iphone 5 earlier this year, all of my data was switched using the icloud function (but possibly my live/hotmail account too), which suggests to me that icloud does have all the numbers.
I still have the iphone4 handset too - so could perhaps get the numbers off that? But I don't know how so any advice very welcome!!

I'm not sure if this will help you or not and you may have tried it already. But, I was having problems with my 20gb ipod (same one you have) and tried everything, including taking it to a local repair shop and even considered just chucking it. Then I read in one of these posts to simply reboot my computer. So I did and guess what, it worked. I felt like such an idiot but sometimes the simplest fixes are the ones you overlook. I don't know if itunes 7 needed a reboot or if there was a problem because other users (my wife) were logged into their user accounts also, but try doing that.
I hope that does the trick for you. If not, sorry I couldn't have been any more help.

I previously posted about having 3 ipods for my kids. Here is my problem, which I have read the posts and cannot figure out what to do in my own ignorance.
My son has a nano, no problems whatsoever. My twins just got shuffles two days ago.
Shuffles do not show up AT ALL, nothing, nada. My impression was that I did not need to install the cd that came with them since I have itunes etc. Maybe that is the problem? Oldest son is worried his files will be lost if I reinstall from new cds.
Looking at our ipod files, all that is showing is nano. When I plug nano into the usb it shows up, shuffles do not show at all.
What the heck do I do, I have twins who are waiting and losing patience on not being able to use their new ipods.
Please someone help me?

I called Apple, they had me do the msconfig, try every usb port I have restart, reset retry everything to no avail. I find it virtually impossible that 2 new shuffles are no good, but even Apple gave up and told me to send them back!
I just reinstalled the itunes, BUT left the serial number for the nano on it when I reinstalled.
I restarted the computer and nothing with the shuffles is working, still.
Im really mad now, since I have twins over my shoulder waiting for the past three days to use their brand new shuffles, when their brother plugs in nano in the same usb it works fine.
Thanks for your suggestions, but im more lost than ever. My last question is this, if I send them back, should I just go ahead and pay the difference and get them nanos? I hate to, since they are only 10 and the likelihood of them losing them is quite large, but what am I going to do? Plus I highly doubt that my ten year olds would listen to more than 120 songs.

Please Help! Lost all Desktop Icons, Finder won't open & Cant shut off iMac

I need some serious help please and thank you --- my iMac with Mac OS X 10.5.6 has lost all its desktop icons, I can't open my finder (i've tried relaunching and rebooting my computer, which won't even do a hard shut off). I can open apps on my dock and that is about it.
I did read in another discussion to delete the preference file, but I can't get access to the library?!? And I also read to try doing a disk repair from the install disk and when I insert the disk into my iMac I don't get a pop-up window asking what i'd like to do and since the finder does not open I have to way to even start the disk up to attempt to do a disk repair????
Any suggestions/recommendations are greatly appreciated.

When you tried to do a disk repair from the instal disk, did you actually boot from the instal disk? You should.
Have you read the manual that came with your iMac and followed the appropriate steps?

Please help re multiples in contacts

I just purchased an iphone6 plus @ Best Buy under my Verizon upgrade...I am using Verizon Cloud for my storage. The guy at BB transferred my data for me which was fine either way as I still have original phone. I later noticed that many of my contacts have doubled, tripled and a Doctor I see a few times per year is listed at least 100 times both as Dr Malik and just Malik???!!! Help, I honestly like her but it takes 1 minute to scroll through my M's now! I can live with the others being in there a few times and delete them at times, but I would prefer to just delete this Dr. altogether and look her # up as needed instead of this, lol! The old phone no longer allows me to edit Dr.s information, it goes to a blank screen yet I can get into other contacts to edit??? Thank you for any amount of help offered. Have a great night!

Congrats on the new phone!
I can definitely understand how inconvenient it can be to have to scroll through so many duplicated contacts.
If you sign into your Verizon cloud online are the contacts duplicated there as well? If so, try deleting them online and then sync. Keep me posted.

IPhoto 6 - please help - images lost

pls help if u can! i use iPhoto V6 and have 500 images that I have manipulated usign iPhoto where the original image may have been changed over time up to 10 times to render a new image - all saved correctly and filed under a sub system of changed images - this has been done over the previous 12 months
however on booting up this week my thumbnails in each iPhoto folder show the correct image but on clicking to open the original image comes up
i have never used the 'revert to original' tool - how has this happened?
where are my final (changed images) sitting.....
it looks like all images have reverted to their original when clicked on but this istn something I have manually done..

Could you explain what you mean by this please?
If you go to the iPhoto library in your pictures folder and look (DO not move or change anything within the iPhoto library) at the originals folder and at the modified folder what do you see? The originals folder should contain the original photos and the modified folder the latest (One only) edited version
