PLEASE HELP!... I need to uncompress my pictures
We switched from Windows to Macs only a few months ago, and while we love all the things my Macbook Pro has to offer we don't really know how to work it good... Anyway, my problem is my husband compressed and exported all my pictures (thousands of them) from iPhoto to my external hardrive. The point was to free up space in my internal hardrive, and create a "referenced library" to access my pictures instead of having them in iPhoto. After all the pictures were transfered to the external hd and I tought they were safe I deleted the library from iPhoto and emptied my trash.
Now the problem is I can't seem to be able to create a reference library and to make matters worse when I imported some of the pictures back to iPhoto they are very small, like thumbnails... I'm freaking out because I don't know what to do to get my pictures back to normal to be able to edit and print them. Please help!
I'm afraid we can't really help you as we don't know what your husband did and what he did it to, exactly.
So, what exactly did he compress? Where did the get these pictures? And How did he compress them?
Further, as inexperienced Mac users I would seriously caution you against running a Referenced Library. There are many pitfalls and no benefits.

Sorry, but without a backup in iCloud or iTunes on your computer, your data is gone and can't be restored anymore.

When iPhone is connected to PC, it shows in itunes but Autoplay does not open for me to copy photos. I tried the Control Panel, changing Autoplay settings but no use. I use a Windows Vista. Please help! All my little ones' pictures are on my iPhone 3GS.
I tried hard reset on my iPhone. I tried restarting laptop and iPhone. I tried a different laptop. I tried removing driver and reinstalling from Device Manager but did not find a driver other than "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" under "Universal Serial Bus controllers" which I heard shouldn't be uninstalled.
Anything I haven't tried?

Are you seeing your music listed in the iPod screen, or in Win explorer as in your earlier post?
I can see all the songs in my Edrive>al's Ipod> Ipod Control> Music folder.
A corrupted iPod database, will report zero music used, and have your music size reported as others, so you wont see the music in the iPod screen. Sorry, I thought there was some hope for you with iPodAccess, in recovery of the corrupted iPod database with your ratings.
You can try to borrow and use the Mac Disk Utility ->First Aid ->Repair.
Of course, if your iPod Hardisk is in a bad state, from the Disk Diagnostic report, then all my suggestion are futile. -

I recently purchased a Canon 7D. I own Adobe Photoshop/Bridge CS5. I cannot open my raw images in Bridge. I have tried to download the plug in but does not seem to work. Please Help, I need to be able to open my raw images in Bridge ASAP. I do not want to upgrade to CS6 at this time.

well, I don´t know if this works for any table, but I tried two of mine and it was ok:

If the string gets too long, you must use dbms_lob - functions for string manipulation, but for "normally sized" tables, it should work.

Did you mean "restore"?
Sorry, if you deleted your browsing history it is gone. No backups are made for browsing history, unless you have that set that up in a 3rd party application. Or if you have a backup of the places.sqlite file, which is where that data is stored in Firefox. -
i have been backing up since 2010 but my machine will only go as far back as feb 11 ... why is this? please help i need valueable info from 2010

When the Time Capsule disk starts to become full, Time Machine will automatically delete the oldest backups first to make room for new backups.

Have you attempted to reset the SMC? That would be the first step. Hold the left control, option, shift key and the power button for about 5 seconds and release. Then try to reboot. Might as well reset the PRAM as well. Hold command, option, P, R on start up until the machine restarts. If that doesnt' have any affect we'll have to dig deeper into a potential hardware failure.
If this method doesn't work, check the webcam that will tell the problem is on the iSight & WiFi cable. If your webcam is ok, then it'll be the WiFi card problem. Hope it can help ;-)

To download any photos that were on your My Photos Stream, then you will need to have Photo Streamed turned on within your computer. Keep in mind that My Photos Stream only holds the last 30 days of photos and those will be the only one that will download.
