There is a paypal hold and that is what the scammers use to make any emails appear as realistic as possible.

What program did you use to fix the internal hard drive? What repairs did it report making? More crucially, if repairs were reported, did you re-run the utility until it reported no problems found? It's possible for one set of problems with a drive to mask others.
If you have about 5GB or so free space on the internal hard drive, you can use your OS X Install disc to perform an Archive and Install to recover from the failed Software Update. When the computer restarts, download and run the OS X Update Combo 10.4.11 (Universal). When the Mac restarts after that, run Software Update. During all this, make sure nothing interrupts or shuts down the Mac! Note that the first start after each of these updates will take significantly longer than subsequent starts, so be very patient.
How did you back up your internal drive to the external one? Did you just drag things over in the Finder, or did you use a utility such as SuperDuper! or CarbonCopyCloner? Does the external HD show up as a bootable volume in System Preferences > Startup Disk, or using Startup Manager? -

URGENT PLEASE HELP! Think I broke my eeprom

after getting a good manual for setting up a RAID-1 on my Netra, I broke something.
I set two new devaliases for the existing hdds. like the manual said.
After rebooting, it said Can't find boot device.
It went to the ok Promt, there I tried a devunset, followed by a reset-all.

ThorstenCouple of things to try. Can you boot off the net or CD/DVD ? I noticed that you have disk and disk0 to be same. You mention that you mirrored root. Do you know what the other disk was ? If so you can try booting the other disk.

Everytime I go on itunes with my internet motem connected it shuts down my computer. It works fine if I have the internet off and no ipod plugged in, but as soon as i put my ipod in or use itunes with internet it shuts down and restarts my computer. I went to www.apple.com to see if i could just update the itunes and see if that works, but everytime i click on download itunes 9.2 it asks me to install it. Does this mean my old itunes with all my music will be erased??? please please help me. thanks

You've got a problem with the drivers for your ATI Radeon video card. It's a bit odd to see that associated with being connected to the internet, but I've seen it cause blue screen crashes when an iPod is plugged in before.
Did the video card come installed in the PC when you bought it? If so, head to the Sony website and check to see if they have any updated video drivers for your particular model of Vaio (and particular model of video card).
If you've added the video card yourself to the Vaio, head to AMD and check to see if there's updated drivers there for your model of video card.
If you're already up to date on the drivers, or updating the drivers doesn't help with the crash, try reinstalling the video drivers.
Does updating or reinstalling the video card drivers help with the crashes? -
I have got an email of apple support : saying that I need to update my account otherwise it will be suspended and , I have done it and it's only after I done it I realised that it was a scam and it's from this email below and it's asks for your card security number , so I dunno what will happen can anyone help.

Also try to recall the info you provided when you clicked the link in the email. If they asked for any other account passwords change all of them as well.

Somebody please help! My videos have been buffering....
Ever since I updated my iPad to iOS 7 a couple days ago, ALL of my videos and their players have been lagging/buffering/going extremely slow. This includes Youtube videos, videos from my own photo gallery, and others. They all play as if I'm watching a slide show of images instead of a continuous stream.
Please don't tell me that my network connection isn't working etc, because my videos were working just fine until I updated. Also, I know my Wifi isn't a problem since my computer is working perfectly.

Please help, I think there's sth wrong with my Mac pro
I just bought my Mac pro 2 months ago. And I just got it back from repairing 2 days ago :-<.
This is how it happened, I shut it down after 2 weeks keep using and then put on sleep mode everynight when I was not using it. I shut it down before, and everything was normal until the last time, when I turn it back on , I could hear the noise which shows me that it's working, but too bad, the screen didn't show up. I brought it to the store and they said it was stuck on sleep mode. Then they fixed it, they replaced units logic board under MFG ( i have no idea what it is).
I thought it would be fine from now on , but no , something wrong happened just 10 minutes ago. The laptop ask me to update as usual, it turns my screen down, put on the updating stuff...it was loading and suddenly the screen was shut off , turn into black :| ....and there comes the noise, sound like the fire alarm ( but smaller) >"<.....then it was totally shut down by itself, I waited for 5 minute, then I push the power button. I hear the sound from the laptop again shows that it was running, for like 5 second later it turns off by itself, then turn on .....all by itself, I didn't do anything. It keep turn on, turn off like that for like 3 times.... Then the screen shows up with Apply logo and the loading bar below it. Then it was going half way then turning off ...again :|..... I wait for 2,3 minutes, still nothing happens...I turn it on again, and this time it is back to normal @@
I'm totally lost now (, please somebody tell me what happen with my Mac, I'm studying graphic design so I need it to death, but it's giving me hard time now ....And the thing is I just bought it 2 months ago , it's still new....TT_TT, what should I do now? Bring it to Apple again ( FYI, it takes me 2 hours driving to a Apple retail store) (The latest MacBook Pro just got a Firmware Update.
It came to you with some other regular software updates. The Installer for the Firmware Update is very unusual. But it does just about what you described ... restarts several times, one time a Beeping noise, one time a Progress Bar.
If your MacBook seems to be working OK now, you do not have anything to worry about. -
