Please Help! I tried to upgrade Flash Player, but have older computer

Please Help! -- I tried to upgrade FLASH PLAYER, but I have an older MAC laptop OS X 10.4 = Version 4.1.3 (4533.19.4).
I need to UPGRADE Flash Player; however it's not available -- Recently, I cannot watch some videos or access particular websites.
I'm a teacher, and CAN'T AFFORD to buy a new computer at this time.

Unfortunately, if you're running OS 10.4, odds are that your Mac is a PowerPC model (-About This Mac will let you know for certain), and the newest version that will run on your system is Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and 9.0.289.0 (126 MB)
That's a direct link to the download, you can right click (or control+click) and save it to your downloads folder. Expand it with Stuffit Expander and run the 10.102.64 installer.
That's the best that can be hoped for because if your Mac is PowerPC, and I suspect it is, even Apple no longer supports it since September of 2009. The next OS X version (10.5) won't run the latest Player either. You'd need an Intel Mac with 10.6.3 or newer to use Flash Player 11.8.800.94.
PowerMax does have some really good deals on "pre owned" Macs. I've bought three from them myself over the years.

Please check the version of Adobe Flash Player on your computer (You may check it here : Checking Flash Player version)
Note : Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.117 is the latest version.
Download and run Flash Player uninstaller
Note : Make sure you have closed all the browsers window while running uninstaller.
Now you may download Latest version of Adobe Flash Player from here : Adobe Flash Player

Can someone please help to figure out why Flash player won't download to my system???

When I go into facebook I have to download flash player every time. This has been going on for about 6 months. I have tried to get help but can not seem to get it figured out. Last week when I downloaded it started to say it was finished but wasn't in the system and now I can't play games on facebook at all. Please someone help.

I use firefox 3.5.7. I cant see youtube videos because firefox show me an errror that you must upgrade your flash player, I follow the link and upgrade my flash player successfully, but firefox repeat its error massage in restart.
I use firefox help and see that firefox disable my outdated flash player because of safety. I want to enable that plugin

Hi barb, well for one thing the vs of Flash Player is the old one. You need to update to the latest version which is 10.0.42.34.
The first link should be http://www.gourdlamps.com/presentations; that one and the other one work fine for me.
It could be that those two websites have updated to 10.0.42.34.

This is the Installer link for IE and you will SAVE this to your Desktop

Then go to this thread and follow my instructions, except use the links I gave you. The procedures are the same.
Before you do any of this, take a look at the Uninstall article and the last two NOTES. They are very important when uninstalling IE. The last NOTE: Use the "See Details" If you see the old version of 10.0.32.18 still there, follow those instructions in that NOTE.

Also one other difference is after Adobe confirms you have the 10.0.42.34 installed, you would go to the manage add ons
and look for Shockwave Flash Object.....ActiveX Control......Flash10d.ocx ...... make sure that is listed and it is Enabled.
Java: If you have any old Java entries in your Add/Remove, Remove them via the Add/Remove process, wait until the entry no longer appears and when you are finished, Reboot. Tried installing new Flash Player but it doesn't work.

I went to view a video online and it said i needed an new version of Flash player so i clicked on the link and i downloaded the newest version. I unistalled all of my old Adobe versions first. It said installation complete but now EVERYTHING that used Flash before (Pandora, You Tube, Hulu, etc) doesn't work. I keep trying to uninstall and re-install but nothing changes. My adobe reader works, but not Adobe Flash. HELP!!

Hi, You didn't say what operating system or browser(s) you are using. If you are using IE, go to your manage add ons
and look for Shockwave Flash Object..and see if Flash10e.ocx is listed with it and it is Enabled. If you use FF, find the plug-in SWF and it is 10.0.45.2 and enabled.
You can also check your Flash files to see if all of the old FP was removed and the new was installed.

To change your password you will need to open System Preferences, then open Users & Groups, click on Change Password. Change your password to a temporary one, then when you have finished you do the same procedure to change it back, by typing in the temp password then leaving the new password blank. Hope this helps.

I have it successfully installed. The site in question won't
work in MSIE
or in FF. I've run through all the steps in Tech Note at :
www.adobe.com/go/tn_19166. This particular problem is cited
in the section
saying it's a damaged windows system registry or incorrect
permissions in
the registry. The fix is supposed to be to downlad SubInACL
from Microsoft
to fix permission issues that prevent the Flash Player
installeation

Please help! Error on Excel on iPhone, but fine on computer.

Excel sheet on iPhone displays #VALUE! in rankings column, but that same excel sheet displays the rankings fine on Mac.

I found these back on early message board entries. Maybe they will help.
We recommend a download manager for users who have trouble with very large downloads. Getright (www.getright.com) is a good one for Windows, others are in the FAQ.
You might want to disable the 'automatic' launching of getright and then just copy and paste the URL into Getright after you manually launch it. eg. Navigate OTN all the way until you get to an actual download URL (download.oracle.com) and then launch getright and paste that into the application.
