Please Help! I would like to get Designer running
I have Designer 6i installed and have the message:
'This user does not have an installed Repositary. Invole the Repository Administrator Utility'
when I try to start it up.
I am trying to develope a database on a database on the network, not one that is my PC. Does the Repository need to
be in the database being developed or on my PC? Does it need to be installer specifically for me as a user?
I used the standard install for internet developer suite. I am so new i may well chosen the wrong options in the install.
My Oracle Repositary 6i option on my start menu is empty.
I can use Schema Builder. Query builder, Procedure Builder, Graphics Builder, Form Builder and Project Builder start up fine and look like they will also work for me.
I would also apprechiate answers that assume very little prior knowledge.

Designer does need a repository in order for you to work. There is an extensive repository installation guide available that will help you build a repository in your database.
You can build a repository in a database that is on your own PC or in a database on the network.
Designer is an extensive tool, so I recommend you read some of the online help or try to work through the tutorial if you want to start using this toolset.
Once you have a repository built, you can use Designer to model, design and generate a database.
This database that you define and model from within Designer can be created locally or on a network.
Schema Builder. Query builder, Procedure Builder, Graphics Builder, Form Builder and Project Builder are all products
within the iDS pack, but are not part of Designer. They have no dependence on the Designer repository.
If you are able and interested, there is a course called "First Class" that does a high level walk through of the Designer tools and will enable you to use the tool to design and build the database you require.

If you can't restore from your backup you could try 3rd party software such as iPhone Backup Extractor to see if you could extract your notes from the backup.

Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.
Common pop-ups include a message saying the government has seized your computer and you must pay to have it released (often called "Moneypak"), or a phony message saying that your computer has been infected, and you need to call a tech support number (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it resolved. First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. In these circumstances, after force quitting Safari, turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then relaunch Safari normally. help->create support message
or
test workbench status message->click messages tab and then click create button.
Now go to tcode Solution_manager
select your landscape and then press execute button you will get the list of all messages with status ,person create d and person responsible.
if you click any one you can go into the details of the same.

Here's the process to roll back:
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information] (copy your whole profile folder).
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 4, and uninstall it. Do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Then finally you can reinstall Firefox 3.6. Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, it should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.

It is beginning to shutdown with no warning more frequently. What can I do to locate the exact issue? My warranty has expired so I would like to get to the bottom of it without taking it in to an apple store.
I am currently learning how to do diagnostics on mac hardware but I am not a native mac user. It is unlikely that this is a software issue. Please, any input will be helpful.Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and
after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears.
Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
Reinstall the 10.9.2 update: OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 Update (Combo).
4. Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
Reinstall the 10.9.2 update: OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 Update (Combo). -

I understand your question now and I can point you to some usefull resources. First, you mentioned the three components, the chassis (which contains the FPGA), the ReamTime controller and the module. You also of course have your PC which is what the user will interface with to perhaps view the data on a graph. You will need to create a new FPGA project and you will have several key components in that project:
1) a VI on your FPGA target that is programmed to do I/O from your 9233 module. This VI must be created and then deployed and compiled onto the FPGA (this is like programming the chassis)
2) a VI on your RT controller that will use a DMA fifo to get the data from the FPGA. You may also have some signal processing or some other logic on this VI. This VI must be deployed to the RT controller
3) a VI on your host computer that will read data from the controller, probably save it to a disk and display it on a graph.
I would reccamend looking at a few resources to help you get started:
1) FPGA Design, Development and Programming Tutorial
2) Getting Started with the FPGA Module from the LabVIEW help files
3) LabVIEW FPGA Module On-Line Tutorial, this is a video tutorial that will be helpful
4) Use the LabVIEW example finder (in LabVIEW go to help»Find Examples) and under the "search tab" type in 9233. Open the 9233 getting started project that will populate in the list of available examples for the 9233. This project will serve as a starting point for your cRIO system programming.

My original I Phone 5 was running IOS 6.12
My I phone 5S currently runs IOS 8..When I upgraded it, it had IOS 7 on it which made the I Photo app compatible with everything below IOS 8...( which the photo app is not compatible with ) so I just connected the I Phone 5S to my computer and thinking the new phone had IOS 7 on it that these was nothing to worry about..I thought all 900 + pictures in the photo stream would transfer but somewhere in the process, I Tunes decides to just go and install IOS 8 which requires that you run a " Photo Migration App" to transfer photos from IOS 7 & below. The problem was is that I didn't want IOS 8 on my new 5S so I thought I wouldn't have to do that part..
Anyway the phone emerged with IOS 8 on it and the only photos that remained were the ones that were actually on the phone..The 900 + I had in the stream didn't transfer because the Photos that works on IOS 7 and below isn't compatible with IOS 8..I guess you have to use the photo migration app that comes with IOS 8 & I phone 6..But I didn't ask to upgrade to IOS 8...It just did it on it's own!
I still have the I Phone 5 Back up that I did just before giving it back to Verizon but if I try to restore the I Phone 5S running IOS 8 those photos in the stream will not go back on the phone because IOS 8 isn't compatible with the I Photos" that ran on IOS 7 and below..
So I have an I Pad mini that runs IOS 7..should I try and erase it...and put that I Phone 5 backup on it and pray the photos that were in the stream come back on it so I can transfer them back to my computer...then erase the I pad mini again and restore it using it's original backup that I have on the computer and the in the cloud?

10.5.8 is Leopard, not Snow Leopard. You need the Snow Leopard DVD;

Would like to get a rMBP but worried about image rentention
I would like to get a rMBP, as I have heard good things about the Retina display and it would help with my video editing work. This would also be my first Mac. I have read about the image retention issues, particularly with LG displays, and that as of July 2013, the issue has not been completely resolved and new buyers can still get a problematic screen. It was disconcerting to read that customer support is hit and miss concerning the replacement of the screen, their own silly test which does not identify the issue correctly and how some Apple stores would not go ahead with the replacement. I feel like Apple would be too much of a hassle in fixing this issue, even with the warranty.
So I am writing to ask if there are any reputable Apple authorized resellers from which I can order (instead of Apple) that would fix this issue if it arises. Better yet, are there any resellers that know about the issue and would accommodate my request by providing a computer with the right screen (Samsung) from the beginning? I cannot emphasize how important it is to have a seller that will be on top of the issue, so I don’t have to struggle and fight with Apple over an problem that shouldn’t have been present in the first place.

Snow Leopard is the latest version your macbook 1,1 will run. Oitlook is part of the Microsoft Office suite, if you want outlook you'll need to also purchase Office. If you can get by with Apple's mail program there are free alternatives to Office like Libre Office or Open Office. -
I purchased a Macbook Air 11" in January 2011. It has one key on the keyboard which sticks making an irritating clicking sound that I would like to get fixed. I took it into my local iStore but they were not at all encouraging, saying they doubt that Apple warranty will cover something like this, and also that the whole keyboard would have to be replaced as they don't do individual key repairs.
This is very unreasonable to me. Firstly, the keyboard does work (is not actually broken) although the intermittent clicking sound of a single key is very irritating to me and I expect more from an Apple product than a flawed keyboard.
Any thoughts, tips and insight on this greatly appreciated.Just wanted to conclude by saying that I did go to an Apple store and after supplying proof of purchase and verifying the warranty etc, I had my MacBook checked out by one of the technicians who (after finding that my machine was immaculate bar the sticky keyboard of course) they replaced the entire keyboard within a week.
I was so happy with the helpful and prompt service and am now so happy with my new silent keyboard!
Also wanted to add that the young guy who told me at the iStore that he doubted Apple would support this and guessed Apple likely say it was due to user damage was being a tool, and he was obviously assuming that I had done something wrong to break my keyboard.
This was my first Mac purchase and I was delighted to find that the support is genuine and not just a rumor... I have since gone on to purchase an iPad2 will probably buy the iMac too once my trusty PC needs replacing. I was never a PC hater and got on well with windows, and was actually reluctant to make the change - but so far so good :)
