iPhone 5 sound problem: my iPhone 5 noise is only coming out thru the ear speaker and will not come out of any of the other speakers on my phone i say again it will ONLY come out my ear speaker it does it in games and in videos in music in everything! Ive reset the phone and went thru all the settings and everything to try to fix with no luck at all please help me!

fdisk formated and reinstaled windows 3 times. fresh install each time i installed a sound card. so I dont think lingering drivers is the problem which also means dx9 has been installed fresh each time.also I have been dealing with this for nearly a month and I am at a loss.

I just got a iPhone 4 and for the couple of days I have had it, it was working fine. But last night, after pressing my facebook app, i would press it, and then it would automatically go back to the home screen. I thought it was just the app, so i tried another app as well to see if i would get the same respone as the facebook app. When i pressed my other apps, that i have downloaded, i soon came to find that none of the apps would work. I would press them and they would come up for a second or two and then go back to the home screen.I soon then pressed the safari, to go on the browser, and when i pressed safari it opens and closed., I deleted all my apps, and re downloaded them as someone said on here. That didn't work, they still came up and went back to home screen. I added a new free app from the app store, like others on here have said, that didn't work either. I tried to reset my phone last night, "erase all settings" and when i do, the little settings bar just keeps turning on my phone so i stop it, and it never resets. I've called people and they said they were texting me, but i wasn't getting any messages back. I can call out and get calls back, but no one can text me back, and my apps aren't working. WHAT DO I DO!?!?

I'm so sorry you are having issues with your phone. Nothing more frustrating that not being able to deal with these issues!
From the sounds of things you will need to backup and restore your device back to default settings. I read in your post that you had tried this. I'm sending alonog an article that will assist you with specifics as how to go about doing this. It sounds to me based on your description that you have nothing more than a good old fashioned case of corrupted apps and once you've restored your device all will be well in the world again!

I don't know why it stopped working but it happened a month or two ago but the option on this phone that's usually all the way to the left when you select your device but now its not and I don't know what caused it. ive already tried troubleshooting my problem but have found no help.

Here is the description :
-I created a UML model with Papyrus tool and I applied MARTE profile to this UML model.
-Then, I applied <<PaStep>> stereotype to an AcceptEventAction ( which is one of the element that I created in this model ), and set the extOpDemand property of the stereotype to 2.7 with Papyrus.
-Now In the ETL file, I can find the stereotype property of extOpDemand as follows :
s.attribute.selectOne(a|a.name="extOpDemand") , where s is a variable of type Stereotype.
-However I can't access the value 2.7 of the extOpDemand attribute of the <<PaStep>> Stereotype. How do I do that ?

Instructions for reproducing the problem :
1-Run the uml2etl.etl transformation with the supplied launch configuration.
2-Open lqn.model.
There are two folders inside MinimalExample folder, the one which is called MinimalExample has 4 files, model.uml , lqn.model, uml2lqn.etl and MinimalExampleTransformation.launch.
The other folder which is LQN has four files. (.project),LQN.emf,LQN.ecore and untitled.model which is an example model conforming to the LQN metamodel to see how the model looks like.

Am using Photoshop Elements 8 and trying to make a slideshow. Have tried 4 times now and keep ending up with same problem, cannot reopen project to continue edititing. Won't show up in orginizer and when I find on harddrive and try to open get message " wmv file cannot be opened". How can I save a
slideshow inprogress and be able to reopen and continue to edit and make slideshow? I want to thank anyone who can help me with this in advance as I

question? I am trying to add audio to slideshow. I have some music I purchased thru amazon as mp3 files but I get
message no codec and when I try to add wmv I get same message. What type of file do I need and how can I add
multiple songs to one slideshow. I have one little wmv file that will go in, but it just replicates itself multiple times until
it fills slide show.

You need to save the slideshow project in order to be able to go back later and make changes or additions to an existing slideshow . The wmv file is a final output format.
Now you are most probably using only the Output command: that is what makes the wmv file.
You should also do the Save Project command. (and I make it a practice to do the Save Project command before I do the Output command).
If you look at the Elements Organizer 8 Help, there is a topic on "Create a slide show".
-- Very close to the beginning of that topic is a screen shot of the Sldie Show Editor screen,
-- The bar below the usual menu bar is labeled with a "B" and called the Shortcuts bar.
-- The 1st entry on that Shortcuts bar is "Save Project"
It is the Save Project command that saves the information about which photos, audio, etc you placed in that specific slide show so that you can come back again to do subsequent editing. Save each Project with a unique name.
After completing the Save Project command, you shoud see an "icon" in the Organizer for that slide show.
Note: you must also keep the photo files and audio files which you have used in this slide show: you can't delete them because the project file does NOT contain a copy of the photos, it only has the identification and folder location of the photo and audio files.

Just brought an iPhone 3g. gone onto itunes to update the firmware...downloaded successfully and when i went to install, it started then came up with an error saying it couldnt update.
I then turned the phone off and on and now it just has the connect to itunes logo come up.
I plug it into the comp, and it doesnt acknowledge the phone has been pluuged in.
Turnd the comp off and on and still nothing. Just the connect to itune logo!

Reboot. I think your USB driver crashed.
If that does not help, uninstall (via control panel) ALL apple software, reboot (again) and then reinstall it all again.

I have had problems with Viber for a while now and had given up! But now a few contacts only have viber and not other free messaging apps so I’m trying to use it again but still having problems.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times and still have not received an access code. My main problem though is the messaging it would work fine and then I wouldn’t be able to send any messages and I would receive a message go into the app and the message would not appear.
The other day I reinstalled it whilst at work and worked perfectly could send and receive messages easily. Then when I went home the problem stated again. I then uninstalled and reinstalled again and it worked perfectly, but now back at work I’m having the issues again! I can’t keep uninstalling and reinstalling is there a way this can be fixed?!

You activated "Find My Mac," which disables the built-in Guest account and adds a Safari-only "Guest User" pseudo-account. To get the Guest account back, you would have to disable FMM.

IPhone sound problem - not the usual issues

Okay so I was listening to music in my office on an external set of speakers, and suddenly my sound cuts. The phone still says music is playing but nothing can be heard through either the built-in speaker or the external speakers. I tried the typical "trick the headphone jack" thing and no luck. When I try to play a saved voicemail and chance the volume, it indicates that the phone is using a bluetooth headset. However, I don't own one and bluetooth is off.
When I try and change the volume at the home screen it says it's in Speaker mode, and when attempting to call somebody and change the volume it claims bluetooth again. I've both rebooted the phone and restored it. I'm doubting any hardware damage because it was working when I was playing music, then it just stopped without touching it.
I'm traveling alot tomorrow and really really need my phone. Please help!!

I'm having the same sort of problems. Sometimes the external speakers work and then stops working (eg keyboard sounds, etc). On other occasions when I'm using the phone, the ear speaker cuts out and only by enabling the speaker icon, can I hear the other party with the external speakers. The people I'm speaking with are unaffected and continue to hear me. Sometimes the message "(headphone)" shows on the screen. I didn't have this problem before the recent iPhone software upgrade. Must be software problem. Will reset iPhone work?? My original iPhone that my daughter has with no upgrade doesn't have this problem.

I have a horrible problem with my iPhone, which usually I have been able to fix most iPhone problems. I've seen a lot of issues as I used to administer a 200 strong iPhone4 fleet, but this has me stumped!
I have an iPhone4 GSM. Up until yesterday it was running iOS 5.1.1, and wanted to upgrade to iOS 6, not jailbroken.
I upgraded iTunes to the latest 10.7.0.21 (x64) and did a full backup/transfer purchases.
Then I hit restore and it upgraded to iOS6.
Then I restored from my backup. At this point everything was working perfectly. I have completed the iOS6 welcome wizard thing and was using my iPhone, iOS6 was working.
Next i synched my apps, music, etc back to my phone. AGAIN everything was working, my apps were back, everything was great!
I decided to do what I usually do last, and that is 'restore from backup' the phone again from the same back to restore icon layouts etc. (I nice little trick I always use).
This is where my problem is. Now my battery was at about 89% (it was without a doubt between 85-90%.)
I watched the restore start, I went and got some coffee and came back a few minutes later. iTunes seemed like it had completed the restore. But my phone was off, tried to wake it up with the home button, nothing. So I waited about a minute just incase it was busy doing something, but it wasn't.
After a minute I just tried to power it on normally just with the sleep button, held it for just 2 seconds or so and the silver apple logo came on.. for about 7 seconds.. then turned off again, nothing.
Tried it again and the same thing happened.
After the second appearance of the silver apple logo, I have been unable to get ANYTHING to happen again (no Silver apple logo, nothing)
I then tried to reset with holding home and sleep together (I waited 60 seconds, nothing).
Tried putting it into DFU mode, nothing.
Tried putting it into recovery mode (both ways), nothing.
I thought it was a power issue, seen that before so I left it on charge overnight on my wall charger, with no change this morning.
Please help, I don't know what to do!! Has anyone got any suggestions.

Try this. First, remove battery and hold the power button down for about 10 seconds, then replace the battery and hold down command-option-p-r while hitting the power button. Hold those keys until you hear the start up chime three times, then release the keys. Any better?

I have an applet which uses sun opengl 1.3.1 plugin to render some 3D graphics. It is working fine with JRE 1.4.2_06, but not showing the 3D graphics with the latest JRE 1.5 release. I tried to repaint using available API with no success.

I wrote an applet using Swing and compiled it using JavaSDK 1.4.x. I also installed the 1.4.x JRE for both of my test browsers. In Mozilla 1.1 the applet displays properly all the time. In IE6 SP1 it sometimes works as intended but sometimes the applet simply stops working, as per my Java Console somewhere after invoking the "start" method. Parts of the applet simply become gray and when I resize it - I have a JFrame in my applet - the whole JFrame becomes gray and does not respond to input nor it redraws itself. Shutting down IE does not close the JFrame(although the java console reports normal program termination and cleanup) and the only way to close it is through the task manager. I am using Windows 98SE btw.
Does it sound similiar to your problem? It happens ONLY with IE, not with Mozilla. Anybody has an idea on what it could be? I doubt there's an error in my code...

Please Help - Video Playback Problems

I have followed all the instructions provided by iTunes support in an attempt to fix problems with video playback. They did not help. I downloaded 4 video files that would have smooth audio sound but skip and freeze continually throughout the entire video.
This problem 1st occurred right after I downloaded the latest version of iTunes and then a purchased video. One point of interest is that all of my old video files from earlier versions of iTunes still work fine as they always did.
Could anyone please help me to resolve this issue?

You don't say what your version of Windows you have. Assuming XP, go to Start | Run, type DXDIAG and click OK. Click the Sound tab and run the tests to eliminate a hardware problem first of all. If you don't hear anything, check your cables first of all. Also make sure "Mute" isn't checkmarked in your sound setup. You'll find that in Windows Control Panel.
Which browser do you use? If you have Firefox 4, sign up to the HTML5 trial @ http://www.youtube.com/html5
HTML5 is the latest video standard and doesn't require Flash player. Google is in the process of converting all its files to work with the new format. It may solve you problem. If you don't have Firefox 4, you can get it from here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/
IE8 doesn't support HTML5.
To clean out your temp files, go to Start | Run, type: CLEANMGR and click OK. Click OK again to start the utility. Tick all the boxes except "Compress old files" because the latter takes too long, and then click OK. You can run this utility any time you wish by the way.
The above steps will hopefully fix your problem. If not, post here again please.
