Please help! iPhone 6 Plus will not sync to PC, sync button greyed out.
After upgrading to 8.3 I am unable to sync my iPhone 6 Plus with iTunes on my PC. When the phone is connected by cable the PC recognizes the phone and it is visible in iTunes, but the sync button is greyed out and the storage bar only shows about 20gb used, all yellow and marked as "other" data even though my iPhone actually has about 90gb of apps/music/photos on it. I am using the stock Apple sync cable, latest iOS update and iTunes. So far I have tried:
-Power cycling both phone and PC.
-Completely uninstalling iTunes and all associated programs in the order recommended by Apple, then re-installing.
-Unchecking everything to be synced (music, photos, etc) then clicking apply. iTunes does send some kind of brief sync with the phone after I click apply but I'm still left with the greyed out button and yellow storage bar. Nothing is deleted from the phone. Re-checked everything same result.
-Wiped and restored iPhone from iCloud backup, still no sync button and yellow storage bar.
I noticed when I check for music "on device" it only shows about 30 songs from a couple of different albums, all with the dotted circle indicating they were not transferred. I actually have a lot more on the iPhone. I've tried everything I can think of to clear these out and nothing works.
Any ideas?
Try to set it back to factory settings and restore from the latest backup, explained in this article:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
If all content on your phone is marked as "other", the data on the phone can't be read by iTunes anymore and the only thing that could help is restoring the device.

You are really not giving us much information like what happens when you try to sync. -

I recently updated my 3gs to the new software, and my new ipad (3rd gen) is also running on the latest software. I also have the latest iTunes.
Up until 3 days ago, everything worked fine. Now however, whenever I plug either of them into my computer to sync some new music (or anything else) on, the sync button is greyed out.
So far I have tried :
Restoring my iphone [+ it seems my backup is missing all my apps/music]
Erasing ALL apple programs (itunes, updater, quicktime etc.), and then reinstalling [I've done this all twice now]
switching USB ports
Restarting both my computer and iPhone/iPad
Authorizing my computer again
I cannot drag and drop music onto my devices or use the sync button.
However none of these work for me. I now have nothing on my phone, and cannot put anything on it. This is incredibly irritating.
Im starting to get very angry with these products. Apple is supposed to be reliable is it not?
Someone please help me!i am having a iusses a little different hoping you can help me, my computer did not crash it is finr, its a gateway, windows 8, i undated my itunes to the new version, and can't get my other one back, i plug my ippod shuffle into the usb port and nothing happens, i tunes doesnt pop up, my ipod icon doesnt come up in the new version of itunes i cant sync it to nothing, i have no idea how to add music and now clue how to use this itunes. i am getting a new ipod tomorrow and i have no clue how to add music to it now.. can you help me?

there was some comments earlier on iPhone 6 freezing when trying to sync.
Just wanted to say that I had that problem, so I disconnected from iTunes. Exited iTunes. unplugged phone.
Plugged phone back in but made sure that it was in airplane mode and voila, it worked very quickly.

having the same issue.Nevermind. Apparently it was fixed with the latest version of iOS/MacOS or both. After about 30 minutes, the sync started. Thanks for listening.

There are three conditions that must be met in order for an iPhone to sync automatically over Wi-Fi. It sounds as if you have met one of them, can you check to see if the other two are met as well?

Since updating my iPhone my Macbook will not sync I believe its because I am on OSX10.5.8 can i download the new OSX software?
You will need to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 in order to update iTunes to sync with your iPhone.
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

Mountain Lion purchased from Mac store will not download. 'Downloading' simply stays greyed out for hours. Nothing I do changes it. I am running OS 10.6.8 on a 2010 Mac Mini. What do I do now?
If you are looking at the front page of the App Store and you are seeing the "downloading" message on the right under Quick Links.
Try this... Go into the "Purchases" section in the top bar of the App Store find ML in the list you are presented with. Does it say Resume? If so click the button and it will change to Pause. You may have paused it previously and forgot.
If not then do as Csound1 suggested and simply wait for it to finish

Itunes showing all data as other and sync button greyed out. I have downloaded and installed Itunes 11 (multiple times) and restored my phone twice already, but I am still not able to sync my Iphone 4 with Itunes.
When I select / de-select Apps on Itunes to remove from the phone the "Apply" button does appear, but after I click it nothing happens. Then the greyed out "sync" button just appears again.
Anyone with some advise please?Try Restarting or Resetting your touch.
Restart: Hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears and turn off your iPod. Press the sleep/wake button and hold it until you see the Apple icon.
Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. The red slider will appear first, keep hold everything until you see the Apple icon. Release the buttons.
Check your iPod and see if your music and apps have reappeared. If they do after either option, then resync your iPod.
If neither works, then Restore your touch through iTunes. -

Ok, so I've my iPod Touch Gen 5 with iOS 7.0.2 has says it's been syncing since this morning. This problem has never occered before but the syncing will not stop or even continue to finish syncing. I can't open my Music App and in my settings, I can't open the iTunes and App Store Setting or my Music Setting. I've even tried to cancel the sync but I can't seem to find a way. I've looked all over the web for answers. I tried to turn of iTunes Wifi Sync and I can't click the "sync" button on iTunes even with my iPod connected. Please help!

Somebody please help me- Media card storage NOT SYNCING WITH APPS
I really need help with this problem, im very frustrated, i called Blackberry Tech Support who sent me to Rogers, I called Rogers who sent me back to Blackberry, I then go transferred back to Rogers where i was told i had to pay an expert for my question and problem so i hung up the phone.
This all started when i downloaded the software update (10.1) on june 15th, my phone will not recognize the media card as it's default storage and my music and photos will not sync with the apps on my phone (camera, music for example).I've deleted everything and set my phone to factory settings and it's still screwed up. I read on some forums about android apps messing with folders in the device storage and when the phone see's "android" everything gets saved there. I do see the folder on my phone still and it won't let me delete it. iT says permission denied need permission from Unix. whatever the hell that means.
When i click on Music for example, it will say "indexing your media card, files will appear shortly" anddddd it neverrrrr comes. Ive swapped media cards and its the same problem. I can only access my media card through the app "files" and then you can switch to media card in that app, unfortunately its not organized to find things in an easy matter. i have hundreds of photos with no thumbnail pictures, i have thousands of songs but can only see a list of 10, it really sucks, i want my phone back LOL
Is there anyone out there that can help me please, I know i'm not the only one with this problem, there are multiple people posting similar problems on other forums and getting no answers. SUCKSIf I were in your situation, I'd put the SD card in a Card Reader (or SD Card Adapter) and open it up on the computer and COPY the files into a folder on the computer so at least everything is backed-up. Then full format the card on the computer prior to formatting it again on the device. With the newly formatted card in the device I'd enter some similar media (of similar types as to what is not being recognised) via the conventional route onto the phone. Once the appropriate folders have been created and your 'test media' are appearing normally on your device, I'd place the card back in the computer, open up your saved memory card copy as well as the actual SD in separate windows and try dragging and dropping the files (or one or two test files) into their appropriate folders - (the ones your new OS has deemed correct). You absolutely don't want to loose your stuff so back everything up. As I see it, you have a file structure created by a different operating system and you can only work with the new one which you now have. The Android folder is meant to be there, which is why you shouldn't try deleting it.
On your computer you should at least see thumbnails so it has to be easier to see what you are working with.

Edit: Sorry, I should have said that I think you have items put in folders created by your previous software version and that your current one doesn't know how to deal with them.

My iphone calendar suddenly will not sync but iPad calendar did sync
I got an error msg saying try again (did but no luck) then msg said to replace calendar using info tab in iphone preferences...did and now calendar is wiped clean. Tried turning off computer and iphone then back on and resyncing but still calendar in iphone will not sync. Contacts etc seem ok. Rechecked my settings and tried a sync with "all calendars" no luck...then tried again with Entourage calendar only which is my primary calendar and no luck. This is a sudden change as I have been syncing ok for 2 years. Any ideas?

I've toggled it, I've held the menu and the hold button down for nearly 2 minutes, I've tried plugging it in to my iTunes, and the iTunes will freeze up and become unresponsive
Please Help!!It will sooner or later turn off, after it turns off (Running out of Battery) charge it until the battery is full, then turn it back on. All should be fine after that.
Plus, keep trying to hard reset it (Hold the lock button and home button, ignore the slider and wait for the apple logo to appear),
