i got this error after installing the portal and trying it for the first time.. i restarted the machine and i mad sure that this name is vaild and the listner is runing..

verify that the TNS name in the connect string entry of the DAD for the URL is valid and listner is runing

Well, it seems that you have applied the changes in the wrong tnsnames.ora file. There should be an entry in the tnsnames.ora file which is in your 9iAS_HOME/network/admin.
Try to copy the tnsnames.ora from your ORACLE_HOME into your 9iAS_HOME and then try to access your portal again. I hope it should work fine.
If the error still persists, write back on the forum.

You may think Apple is being unproffesional by not warning potential buyers of the iPods common faults, but do you really think they would? they are out to sell these things, they arent going to point out the bad in their product. And not all iPods have problems, in fact only a fraction do. That gopes for the rest o Apples products as well. You are too hasty assuming all Apple products are junk, and one of many reasons as to why that is unfair of you is becuase you dont own any other Apple products. -

Hi everyone, I need some help big time. I was currently running the IOS 6.0.1 on my iphone 4 and I could sync and transfer music to my phone via my iTunes account. But I updated my phone to the new IOS 6.1 and now I can not transfer music onto my iphone, all it does is tries to sync the songs but it doesn't. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes back onto my laptop yet it still does not work. Can anyone please help me.

The release of iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 for my iPhone 4, seems to have sorted everything. I can now sync music, films and photos between my MacBook and my phone.
I was dubious about blindly doing the updates but decided they couldn't really mess up any further functionality so I went for it and it's sorted now.
Look in to, and take the gamble, it's up to you. -
Account Hijack - Please help I've really run out o...
I'm posting here out of desparation. I've filled out the long and unrewarding contact by email form several times. But have never received a response. Once I received a we need more infomration form, but upon completion my request just disappeared into a black hole.
About 72hours ago my account was hacked and hijacked by an 'ethical hacker'. He changed my regstered email account and password. He's since been fishing my contacts for FTP passwords, email accounts and any other sensitive information he can find.
I have tried 5 0r 6 times to send an email via the contact forms to GET MY ACCOUNT SUSPENDED, I've told all me friends to block and report the hacker, but still sykpe allow him to continue.
Where should I go with this?, obvoulsy the account to which I refer is not this one, but I don't want to list the name here on an open forum.

i developed the application called comptool. i want to run my application when the user enter the path
http://localhost.localdomain:7777/pls/apex/ . actually this path will go to the apex login page. but i dont want to go to login page. instead of login page i want to go to directly to my application. my application path is http://localhost.localdomain:7777/pls/apex/f?p=101:1. if i give this path http://localhost.localdomain:7777/pls/apex/f?p=101:1 then my application is running properly. but my requirement is , if i give the path http://localhost.localdomain:7777/pls/apex/ then it should redirect to my application inseatd of apex login page.

Dropdown Box in WAD (Please help me as i posted many times,but no infos)

I have defined two drop down box one for Plant and other for Material.
Plant has 14 entries and Material drop down has 100 entried for every plant.
Now Dropdown Box is assigned with characteristcs info object 0PLANT
2nd Dropdown Box is assigned with characteristcs info object 0MATERIAL
Plant is used as an Compounding attribute of 0material.
When i select plant 4040 corresponding material numbers will be displayed in dropdown box of material.
After that i am selecting a material from that dropdown box.
Now if i change the plant it is not displaying me any values even though there is data for that plant.
The dropdown box keeps the previous selection and it is not getting refreshed .
How to solve this issue.
Please help me!

But already these options were selected.
My issues in if i select 1st drop down box and then select second drop down box the values are displayed.
Now if i make change in the 1st drop down box the previous selection of the first drop down box was not cleared and because of that it does not show the values in the chart or table.
i need to solve this issue,

forgive me and post me in the right place. Please help me out with
my website. I don't know what I did or how I did it. But when I
tried to change the link for my forum section, everything else
didn't work. When you go to my site, www.urbanwritten.com and click
on any of the links on the left hand side, its goes to page cannot
be found. And it was working fine before all of that. If you are
good with dreamweaver of know what my problem is and know how to
fix it, PLEASE RESPOND to me I'm literally crying. I am in dire
need of help!!! My saved and uploaded files are how they're suppose
to be, but they're just not showing up on the website for some
reason. PLEASE help me out. If you think you know how to fix my

P.S. It was working way before I tried to make the changes
for the forum link.You can fix it in ten minutes tops.
First- is the site correctly defined?
The index frameset and
http://www.urbanwritten.com/Home.html
should be in
the root level of the Local Site Folder.
The Templates folder should be in the root level of the Local
Site Folder.
The remote site should be a mirror image, with the homepage
at the root top
most level. If the remote shows a folder like public_html or
www or similar
where the site files need to go into that subfolder; put that
folder name
into the "host directory" line of the remote info for this
site definition.
open MainLayout.dwt for editing.
dw menu-->File-->Check Page-->Check Links.
in the Results panel it shows the broken links.
Fix them by either clicking that line so it opens the page to
that link, and
use the folder icon for the LINK in the Property inspector to
pick the
correct file to link to, OR use the folder icon at the far
right of the
broken link listing to do the same thing.
there should be no broken links in the template when done.
The key concept is to have the links work in the template
file. Then dw will
manage the link paths when you use that template on a child
page.

Authorize your computer for iTunes content - launch iTunes and go to Store>Authorize this computer. Make sure that you are signed into your iTunes account on the computer as well. If you are already authorized and have been using iTunes on your PC you are good to go.
I copied this from another discussion. If you follow these steps you should be fine - for all of your purchased content.

1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.
That should do it. -
