Please Help, iTunes has taken my right to play certain songs.
These were free songs with coco-cola codes some time ago.
Now in Mtn Lion it has took the playing rights from me and locked them off!
Anybodys help on this subject is much appreciated...
Yes it worked,
Right-click in it > Show in Finder. Finally, right-click in that file > Get Info > Sharing & Permissions. See if you have got read permission,
Clicked through the Get Info > Sharing & Permissions and when I closed the window the song played again.
Not sure why but it worked for me!

People please help me out! I have a Razer Blade gaming laptop with Windows 8 64bit.
I have an iPhone 5, iPad 2 and an iPod video (80GB). I had some weeks from not connecting the iPod to my computer, but this morning that I did so I can upload some new music to it, iTunes just crash, I get the "iTunes has stopped working" error message when I connect the iPod video. I do not have this problem with either the iPhone 5 or the iPad 2, when I connect these, iTunes works fine, once I connect the iPod, then all goes down
Procedures that I already tried and that were unsuccessful to solve the problem:
Uninstall Quicktime
Uninstall iTunes and reinstall
Reset the iPod (several times)
Delete TEMP files on computer
Restart the computer (several times)
Use a different cable and a different USB port
The iPod is working fine, if I plug it to my car stereo or if I use it with headphones it works great, no problems nor errors. My computer also identify the iPod as a hard disk, no error messages from Windows, it is just the freakin' iTunes that freezes everytime that I plug the iPod

Do you have the "Convert to 128 kbps AAC" preference enabled for syncing to the iPod, laur?
If so, it's quite plausible that you've got the iTunes 10.1.0.54 bug and we need to get you updated to 10.0.1.56 as per the following document:

While I was downloading the newest update for the iPod touch, my iPod went to the connect to itunes screen. I don't want to have to restore my iPod because I forgot to make a backup. Does anybody know if there is a way that I can get it back to normal without having to restore it? Any help will be great!
I have had this problem several times before. Just restart your ipod by holding the Menu + Center Button. It should do the work.

PLEASE HELP-iTunes has lost my previous library
and i cant find it again! ive looked through the folder where the old libraries are but whenever i open them it just opens the same one. i have lost my most recent (and up to date) library. Any suggestions?? would be much appreciated
I archive files I don't use frequently. To facilitate this I like a docking station. It lets you take a bare drive (= no enclosure, just the drive alone which is cheaper) and place them on top for temporary use and fast swapping. I have an older Voyageur from OWC. I have several bare drives for things such as home movies and photos which I don't need at an instant's notice all the time. I also have another bare drive for backup. The main drawback is it's too easy to not be diligent about attaching the drive for backup, particularly if you're used to time Machine doing your backups constantly during the day.
If I were shopping for an external drive with enclosure I would again look at getting the components separately. For example, Seagate backup drives are popular, but the last time I looked at sites with tons of reviews (such as Newegg) Seagate was rated badly. 10 years ago they were top of the line, so you have to stay on top of things. I would again look at the OWC line (prices okay and they specifically support Macs) and get an enclosure I liked, and then buy a drive I trusted (right now I have several 1TB Western Digital blues -- again from reading online ratings). We were in an Apple Store recently and pondered a Time Capsule but nobody could tell me what drive was inside so I kind of went off the idea in case it was a lemon. -

The pop up screen says that I need to reformat it. I've have tried all of the troubleshooting tip on here. I have a white macbook.
Did you try reformatting it then? If so, what happens when you tried? What happens if you try connecting the iPod to your PC in Disk Mode?

ITunes 11.0.4.4 crashes when I play certain songs and the problem is spreading.
Ever since I downloaded iTunes 11.0.4.4 (for windows 7), the program has been crashing whenever I play certain songs and at this point the problem is spreading, more and more songs that weren't problems before. I have been through just about every troubleshooting step I could find more than once, reinstalling, safe mode, conflicting programs... if a solution out there was even vaguely related to my problem, I've probably tried it. The only modification that I've made to the program is enabling 1/2 star ratings, and I don't think that's the problem because the earlier versions of itunes worked fine with it, and I've tried temporarily moving the itunes preferences xml to make it generate a new one, and it didn't fix anything.
My library has over 14,200 tracks so I can't possibly delete and then re-add all the problem tracks to iTunes, and even if I could, I've tried doing that with a small number of specific songs already, and while it worked at first some of them have started making iTunes crash again at this point.
I understand that the problem is most likely that my library is corrupted, but I'm very wary of the solutions to that problem that I have seen because I have had to use them before more than once, and each of those times I've lost thousands of songs (last time it was 5,000 tracks) in the process and a shockingly large percentage of the tracks came back disorganized and improperly labeled (some of them as 4 letter strings of capital letters that I can't seem to identify without using shazam) and without ratings ( I have "keep iTunes files organized" and "copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library" in preferences checked.)
It takes a huge amount of time to redo the information for the amount of tracks I have even if you buy software to help automate it, and it would take me 5.7 days to redo all of the ratings I've done, and ratings are important to me. I've added a lot of new tracks since then and my library is still 2,000 tracks smaller than it was before i had problems last time. The solution scares me enough that I've put it with the crashing for two months now, but it's getting unmanageable. If anyone can give me a way to fix this that would leave my library intact, or at least minimize the damage, I would be extremely grateful.

I had this exact same problem. I found a fix on another support post that worked perfectly for me. Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll. Then browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Hope this helps you. My iTunes store is working fine now.

I have downloaded iOS 6 to my iTunes but I have clicked "Download Only" not "Download and Update" how do i install/sync it to my iPad. Please help me, its taken me hours to download it i don't want to do it again
PLEASE HELP ME!!!Hook your iPad into your computer and open iTunes. GIve it a couple of minutes to get going, then click on the name of your device, then the main summary page. In the middle you'll see a software update button/area. Click on check on updates and update and follow the prompts.
it SHOULDN"T redownload but if you've already got it should just install.
I'd suggest that you first do a complete sync before you update, that way you have a good backup to restore your device from if the upgrade doesn't go perfect. -

iTunes has taken my money but no song has been downloaded onto my ipod touch or computer, How do I get my song or money back?

Please help!Starting at the end:
- When the movie or tv show does transfer onto your iphone/ipod touch you will be able to see it in the expanded view of your device in the "DEVICES" section.
- If the files are not on your device, then:
-- confirm you have SD or HD-SD video. HD-only content will not play and probably will not even sync. iTunes seems to reliably have SD versions with their HD distributions so this should not be an issue
-- confirm you are synch-ing the content to the ipod device by browsing the DEVICE view's Movie or TV Show tabs to confirm the movie or episode is 'checked'
- If the files are on the iPod and you cannot find them, check your Settings: General for Restrictions. If you restrict, for example the movies to "G" rating. PG and higher movies will sync but you will not be able to find them on the iPod! -

Hey everybody Amazon.com works perfectly and no problems so Bye, Bye Itunes fix your junk *** program and ****** customer service telling me it's my computer and connection. [email protected]Fixed. /Users/x/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/AirKeysInputManager.bundle got corrupted by a badly installed safari extension. Deleting this, then reinstalling adobe air did the trick. I wasn't thorough enough on my first try, it was tricky to find everything associated. I had to look for files in the console log then search for them. Spotlight was missing some deep files, EasyFind worked better for me.
