Three things to try (Reader XI)...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

Whenever I select Word Microsoft Setup Assistant appears, asks for feedback, then after selecting okay (both on saying yes or no to feedback) goes on to a registration page. When I click on this it says I've already registered so I just click okay, and then move on to a update page. After this, if I click on Word, the process repeats itself.
As I said, I don't have the disk to reinstall, and can't find the Office Settings to delete as many pages have suggested I should try. Safe Boot restarting also hasn't worked... Really stuck and need Word very soon for work.
If you can help, that would be great, and feel free to ask any questions about the situation as I'm not an expert here.

First, export your contact from iCloud.com and save them on your computer in a safe spot some where (like you desktop). Use this to help you do this: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3606
Next, on both of your devices, go to Settings > iCloud and turn on contacts and select Merge. Then turn off contacts and select 'Delete form my [device]' when prompted.
Now go back to iCloud.com and select a contact (yes they will all be messed up again) and select Command+A on a Mac or Control+A on a PC to select all of the contacts. Tap the delete key on your keyboard (or right click /control click a contact and select delete).
You iPhone, iPad and iCloud.com should not be empty for contacts.
Go back to Settings > iCloud on both devices and turn on contacts again (you should not see merge this time).
Next, go back to iCloud.com and import your contacts (those exported .vcards). You can either drag and drop them into the empty contacts list in your web browser, or you can use the gear icon to import.
You cleaned up contacts should import correctly into iCloud.com and sync to both of your devices.

Nevermind. I figured it out.

I keep multiple windows opened and minimized. Sometimes when I click on the task bar to Restore, it apparently "disappears" out of view past the upper left corner. From then on, it can only be seen by using Maximize. What can be done to move it back?

When Restore/Move/Size are clicked, the pointer just goes to the upper left corner of the screen with all combinations of clicking/dragging having no success. What causes this, and what can be done to move it back?

If a window disappear then using the system menu can make it reappear or make it possible to move that window in view. I don't know what causes it to make the window disappear in your case if it does work correctly if you start Firefox.
You can check the browser.link.open_newwindow prefs on the about:config page if you want to open all links in tabs in the current window.

If the screen is not showing anyting when you press any of the buttons you may want to try these steps.
From article iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

if you hold down a Command key and press the Tab key, it will show a set of icons representing your currently opened programs. Press Tab until you arrive at the program you’d like to switch to, and then release the Command key.

I would like a javascript that would open and place a PDF file to an active document in Illustrator. I would like it to place it to a specific layer, align it to the art board, and then embed it. Can someone please help?

I capture the Windows Desktop screen and saved it as a .jpg file. I then display the .jpg file on frame ( whose size is that of the screen ). Now if i click on the frame, the corresponding Window's application should be invoked ( i.e if I click on the frame where the Start Menu is shown, then the Start Menu should be opened ). Not so easy.A JPG file is a compressed map of a "picture",nothing more. So , You have to get a reference to an object of this map - You can't save to a simple file (JPG) and expect to do what you want to do.Think something else , not a simple snapshot.In Win98 you have a directory "Desktop" where are all of your icons , in Win2000 you have to search in "Documents and settings\User_name\" or something like this to find the same directory and get all icons.Therefrom look for "Properties" and find the path to execute the exe file.It must be something like this I think.Hope have been helpfull.

I have been writing and saving all day on Appleworks. Now when I want to open up an Appleworks file, it won't open up. I tried clicking it from an icon on my desktop, clicking a file from my Recent Items list, and getting one from my hard drive. Nothing opens up. I tried turning off my computer and restarting it and it still will not open any Appleworks file. The Appleworks icon at the bottom bar of my computer just bounces up and down, but nothing opens up. *Please Help* iTunes wont stay open

When I open my iTunes, and the itunes store begins to load, the store and my library automatically close. It stays on for about a second, then closes by itsself. I cant even get to my library for more than two seconds without it closing. Please help, very frustrated. Thank you!

ok i deleted /Libraries/Receipts/iTunesX.pkg and deleted the iTunes i had tried to download and install then re-downloaded iTunes again and it still won't open. should i delete iTunes3.pkg and iTunes4.pkg too? am i doing something wrong? this is incredibly frustrating, i feel like i've deleted all this stuff off my comp. but nothing does anything
