Please help Kurt Lang or Dr. Smoke with my font problem
I'm in a pre-press environment using Tiger 10.4.6, Suitcase Fusion 12.0.1 to manage postscript fonts & Quark 6.5. I'm having a problem with Address Book letting me do any editing to the templates or changing any contact information of a card. I get the spinning wheel of doom and the program shuts down. I've set my system up according to Kurt Lang's Font Management recommendation. I've replaced the Helvetica dfont with Helvetica postscript in the sys/lib/fonts folder and this is where the problem lies. For some reason, in Panther, the address book worked just fine with this setup. But now in Tiger, the Address Book refuses to work. I absolutely can't use the dfont version while working in Quark which seems to keep happening if I put the dfont version back in the sys/lib/fonts folder so Address Book works. Can someone please advise me on how to fix this. I want to be able to use Address Book while it needs to access the Helvetica dfont version and I also want to be able to use the Helvetica postscript version in quark and not run the risk of the Helvetica dfont sneaking in. UshaWe've seen this bug on machines running IE6 with a certain security patch (I forget its number). There's a thread in the Metalink reports forum about it. It appears to be somewhat tied to another problem where IE runs the report twice (you can see that in Showjobs. You're seeing the problem in 6i; I believe it persists in 9i.
The workarounds are (1) set Acrobat so it doesn't open within IE or (2) switch to a different browser, like Netscape. For workaround 1, Start Acrobat Reader, Choose File -> Preferences -> General, Uncheck Web Browser Integration
There's some evidence that it occurs more often with urls that include single quote characters. I think it's worse with XP, but I don't have any proof.
If you check Adobe's site, you will see this isn't just an Oracle Reports problem. I think we're waiting for Microsoft on this one, so don't hold your breath for a quick fix.

But it does not correct the colors in effects. And checking or unchecking Make Movie/Output Module Settings/Color Management/Profile/Preserve RGB does not make any difference.

Those parts of the video image that does not have color effects are just fine. In these parts the color is preserved when reimporting to FCP. However, those parts having color effects (except Levels, as decribed earlier) have altered color results. So, only the parts having effects affecting color are misinterpreted in the image area. The mismatch is of course seen in AE, before making the movie.
What I ment with "Color Management not working properly" is that (instead of "disabling" it) Color Management does not seem to be able to correct this "misinterpretation" or difference in effect handling between AE 6 and 10.
So, would you have any solution for this problem?

I need some assistance on how to display a Map in JSP using struts or core JSTL. I have a HashMap which has a List of keys and each key maps to a value of an ArrayList.i.e I have an ArrayList of taxCodes and each taxCode maps to a value of taxDetails which is an ArrayList of details for for that particular taxCode. I have some trouble to display each taxCode then display taxDetails for each taxCode. Here is my code below:

I have a BB Storm2 9550. I had a laptop with Outlook 2007/Windows Vista/BB Desktop 5 and it synced fine.
I now have a new laptop with Outlook 2010/Windows 7/ BB Desktop 6 and each time I try to configure the Organizer Data to select 'Outlook' for Calendar, Memo, Tasks, and Contacts and select NEXT I receive an error in Intellisync that says 'The Operation Terminated Unexpectedly'.
I have tried completely uninstalling BB Desktop manager from the Application Data folders and registry, reinstalling 6.0, downgrading to 5.0 (which gives me a Microsoft Connector Error).
I have also tried reinstalling Outlook. I read all of the posts concerning Outlook 2010 64bit but I am running the 34bit version.
Please help me. Right now I don't have any contacts on my BlackBerry and I am so frustrated. I have tried to fix this for over a week now and all the posts I read don't seem to resolve my issue or I don't understand them.
I'll even take suggestions for other ways to sync my data besides outlook (although that is not my preference)

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel.
Under User Accounts and Family settings, click Add or remove user account.
Select one of the user accounts or the guest account.
Under the account, click Go to the main User Account.
Under Make changes to your user account, click the Change security settings link.
Under Turn on User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more secure, clear Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer and turn off the UAC.
Click OK.
Restart the computer.
Give this a try it could be that the connector to ms outlook never registered properly. -

PLEASE HELP!!! Black Screen with white curser at startup...
at startup after grey screen fan turns on and screen turns black with a white curser in the upper left. Then one line of text shows saying something to do with single user mode failed with a bunch of other text. (sorry I didn't write it down) It then vanishes for a minute with just the white curser remaining and repeats.
Ran hardware test... everything OK
I have repaired permissions which took almost an hour of CD.
I tried repairing disk failed " Invalid Key Length, volume check failed" twice.
I am currently running os off external backup HD.
I tried doing a archive and install but said I could not because the my os software(10.4.11) was newer than my original CD (10.4), is that correct?
I do not know what to do? Please help!!!!You will need to reinstall OS X, but you cannot do an Archive and Install until you repair the drive. See the following:

An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. 1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update. -
Please help - Can not use stored procedure with CTE and temp table in OLEDB source

I am going to create a simple package. It has OLEDB source , a Derived transformation and a OLEDB Target database.
Now, for the OLEDB Source, I have a stored procedure with CTE and there are many temp tables inside it. When I give like EXEC <Procedure name> then I am getting the error like ''The metadata could not be determined because statement with CTE.......uses
temp table.
Please help me how to resolve this ?you write to the temp tables that get created at the time the procedure runs I guess
Instead do it a staged approach, run Execute SQL to populate them, then pull the data using the source.
You must set retainsameconnection to TRUE to be able to use the temp tables

I use <argument> tag to transfer some parameters to JWS application.
I also use <associatio> tag to associate a specila file(such as .zzz) to JNLP. But when I doulbe click .zzz file, my application only get "-open" and file path as argument, those parameters in <argument> tag in my jnlp are lost!
What should I do..Is this a bug for JWS? No.
