Please help - mail wont stop pushing

I've read several places that to save battery life, disable push.
Well I have disabled push. My yahoo mail is set to fetch, 30 min. Also advanced is set to fetch. And the push "slider" is off.
However, I still get mail pushed down within minutes.
I want to maximize battery and don't feel the need to have it pushed right away. 30 min would be fine.
I've looked allover and cannot find resolution. Can someone clear this up for me?

I understand, however it does it even while the mail app is not open.
I've heard some apps say running in the background. Is it possible its leaving the program open? If so, would that cause it?
I dont think so because just because its open (if it even is) then why would it constantly fetch?
Either way, push IS off, and I get email instantly. I have set to 30 and 60 min with no change.

IPhone mail app stopped pushing mail

I am having the same problem with all 3 of my mail accounts including my mac mail and gmail. I've tried all of the fixes, resetting the accounts, restarting the phone, etc.. but as of four days ago, it simply stopped pushing email in or out. It looks like it's trying with the spinning wheel at the bottom, but the wheel doesn't appear at the top of the screen so I know it's actually accessing the server. I can still access the Internet and such, so it's not a connection problem.
Please advise.

Try locating and deleting these two preference/plist files:
~(yourUserName)/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
~(yourUserName)/Library/Preferences/com.apple.LaunchServices.plist

Someone please help I have tried to update my phone but now it wont turn on. It has the little green man and says 'installing system update' all it does is get to 100% vibrate, turn off then come back on again with 'recovery booting' in the top left corner then it goes back to the little green man

Please HELP, "iTunes has stopped working" error after connecting iPod video

People please help me out! I have a Razer Blade gaming laptop with Windows 8 64bit.
I have an iPhone 5, iPad 2 and an iPod video (80GB). I had some weeks from not connecting the iPod to my computer, but this morning that I did so I can upload some new music to it, iTunes just crash, I get the "iTunes has stopped working" error message when I connect the iPod video. I do not have this problem with either the iPhone 5 or the iPad 2, when I connect these, iTunes works fine, once I connect the iPod, then all goes down
Procedures that I already tried and that were unsuccessful to solve the problem:
Uninstall Quicktime
Uninstall iTunes and reinstall
Reset the iPod (several times)
Delete TEMP files on computer
Restart the computer (several times)
Use a different cable and a different USB port
The iPod is working fine, if I plug it to my car stereo or if I use it with headphones it works great, no problems nor errors. My computer also identify the iPod as a hard disk, no error messages from Windows, it is just the freakin' iTunes that freezes everytime that I plug the iPod
PLEASE HELP ME OUT, I've searched forums on this particular issue but with no luck.

It is only when I attempt to add a song to my iPod once plugged in that I receive the error "Itunes has stopped working" and forces me to exit the program, without the song being successfully transferred.
Do you have the "Convert to 128 kbps AAC" preference enabled for syncing to the iPod, laur?
If so, it's quite plausible that you've got the iTunes 10.1.0.54 bug and we need to get you updated to 10.0.1.56 as per the following document:

PLEASE HELP MAIL KEEPS CRASHING!!!!

For some reason my mail keeps crashing. Whenever I try to do anything with my junk mail, the program crashes. If I mark an email as junk it crashes. If I try to move an email out of my junk mail it crashes. Can someone please please please help me out? I've tried to reset my junk mail settings and it still crashes....

Are you really using Mac OS X 10.4.2, as your profile indicates?
There is probably some corruption in one or more of the files used by the junk filter. The following procedure thoroughly gets rid of all those files, so that Mail creates them anew:
1. Quit Mail if it's running.
2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/.
3. Locate LSMMap2 and move it to the Trash. This file stores information about what does and doesn't constitute junk, and is what allows the junk filter to learn. Clicking the Reset button in Preferences > Junk Mail also deletes LSMMap2. The file was called just LSMMap in early versions of Mail, delete that as well if you see it.
4. Locate DefaultCounts and move it to the Trash. This file keeps statistics about the number of messages that have been marked as junk, either automatically by the junk filter or manually by the user.
5. Locate MessageRules.plist and move it to the Desktop. This is where Mail 2.x stores all rules, including those used by the junk filter. If there is a file called MessageRules.plist.backup, move it to the Desktop too. You may also see MessageSorting.plist files there; this is where Mail 1.x stored the rules, and they are no longer used by Mail 2.x, so just move them to the Trash if you see them.
6. Look for the account folders. The name of each account folder starts with the account type (POP, IMAP, Mac), followed by the account username and the incoming mail server. Open each of the account folders, locate the Junk.mbox or Junk.imapmbox folder within it, and move it to the Trash if present.
7. Go to ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/. Locate any Junk.mbox folders there (their name may include the account name in parenthesis), and move them to the Trash.
Note: Messages in Junk folders with an .mbox suffix are stored locally, and will be lost forever as a result of doing steps 6 and 7. If there is a chance that you have legit messages there and you want to preserve them, move them to another mailbox in Mail first. If you cannot do that for some reason, move the folder to the Desktop (to be imported later), instead of to the Trash. Messages in Junk folders with an .imapmbox suffix are stored on the server and can be deleted blindly (Mail will rebuild those mailboxes automatically).
8. Open Mail. As a result of removing the rules file, the junk filter will be disabled now. You may want to either tell Mail to go offline immediately after opening it, or shut down the Internet connection before opening Mail, to prevent it from downloading anything until the junk mail filter has been enabled again.
9. Go to Mail > Preferences > Junk Mail, enable junk filtering, and configure it however you wish.
10. Go online again if you went offline in step 8.
If the above solves the problem and you don't have any rules you'd like to preserve or recreating them is not a daunting task, just delete the MessageRules.plist files that were moved to the Desktop and be done with it.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user's home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the file path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the file path there.

PLEASE HELP MY CHARGER STOPPED WORKING - iPHONE 5S

Can anyone please help me!
I brought an Iphone 5s less than a month ago and my charger was fine, i have never synced it with my computer until yesterday because i set it up as a new phone rather than backing up my previous one. Yesterday i finally used the USB chord from the wall charger in my Mac pro to sync photos and now since then the USB wont charge my phone AT ALL when its in the wall charger?! What happened?!! How do i fix this? It will still charge it when its pluged into my computer but nowhere else. Ive even restored my phone and i cant get anything to work! I know its under warrantee so if all else fails i can get it replaced but its such a hassle to go through that process, am i missing something? have i done something or can this be fixed? anyone else had this problem or is it just outright faulty?! PLEASE HELP!!

You can take it to a retail store and see about getting it replaced and since you haven't had it more than a year it would be covered under your warranty

Well I don't know what "tried everything possible" means!
top fixes for a new iTunes install/upgrade are
- turning off security software such as Norton before the install as Apple suggests
- installing QuickTime standalone, not regular

When I open my iTunes, and the itunes store begins to load, the store and my library automatically close. It stays on for about a second, then closes by itsself. I cant even get to my library for more than two seconds without it closing. Please help, very frustrated. Thank you!

ok i deleted /Libraries/Receipts/iTunesX.pkg and deleted the iTunes i had tried to download and install then re-downloaded iTunes again and it still won't open. should i delete iTunes3.pkg and iTunes4.pkg too? am i doing something wrong? this is incredibly frustrating, i feel like i've deleted all this stuff off my comp. but nothing does anything

If Apple thinks it's a hardware problem, it's not something simple. Take it in for service.
Next time you buy a computer, don't do so until you're ready to open the box and use it as soon as you get it home. If you had had this problem within 14 days of your purchase, you could have exchanged the machine for a new one with Lion preinstalled, no questions asked.

Please Help! iMovie stopped rendering clips!!

I am halfway finished with a movie and suddenly for no apparent reason clips that I import are not rendering. I have tried many different clips, but every time the bar appears and never moves at all. I have imported many pictures into this movie which worked fine, but now every picture I import will not render; I have tried deleting the preferences file and using repair with the disk utility but nothing helped. Please help! I am trying to do a movie for my wedding which is in a couple days!!

I called tech support and after trying a million things (including what you suggested about importing from iphoto) nothing worked, so finally we uninstalled and reinstalled imovie and installed all of the current updates for it and now it's working again. So I'm guessing that just proves that it must be some sort of error in the program, I am just keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen again until I finish this movie! I brought my son an itouchfor xmas and spent all day trying to connect it to itunes only to be met with the same issues posted about being recognised as a camera but also saying that it needs windows XP service pack 2 or better? as far as i now looking at windows updates i have the latest version.

I had trouble getting my iPod Touch working. Saw a solution that fixed it for me, don’t know if it will work for you, but gotta be worth a try (?)
Go to START / CONTROL PANEL / ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS.
Click on APPLE MOBILE DEVICE SUPPORT.
Then click on CLICK HERE FOR SUPPORT INFORMATION.
A box will open up & there will be an option “REPAIR” to click on.
This resolved the problem that I had, where the iPod Touch was not being recognized by my computer / iTunes. Hope it solves your dilemma too.

i just got my ipod for christmas & when i hook up my ipod 2 sync an error message comes up saying that it the file cant be read or written to. This is drving me crazy please help any info will be helpfull!

Does it work if you manually manage your iPod's music?
To switch to that setting, click on your iPod in the Source List of iTunes, and go to the "Music" tab. Deselect the "Sync" option, and click on "Apply" in the bottom-right corner of this iTunes screen to save your settings.
Then, in iTunes, click on your iPod's "Music" section. Manually select all of the songs, and delete them off of your iPod. Then eject/disconnect the iPod from your computer.
Now, connect it back to the computer again, and try to manually transfer all of your iTunes library songs to your iPod (to do that, select all of the songs, and drag them to your iPod's name in the Source List of iTunes).
After the songs have loaded to your iPod, you can eject/disconnect it again, and see if all of the songs that you transferred appear on the iPod.

There aren't any laptops that I know of that can add another graphics card. There are a very few higher end laptops that have removable graphics cards, but for the most part on Toshiba's you can only replace it with the exact same type even if it is removable. I think you are wasting your time and money trying to upgrade the graphics on that model.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.
