Please help me a.s.a.p.- i dropped my ipod in water

someone please help me, i dropped my ipod nano in water and it worked fine for a few minutes, but then it started blinking on and off and then it wouldnt respond to anything and now it is just a screen that says " FireWire connections are not supported. To transfer songs, connect the USB cable provided." please help i dont know what to do, ive only had it for 6 months- is it replaceable/repairable?

Let it dry for about a week. Don't turn it on, try to turn it on, or charge it.
After a week, try these...
Resetting iPod
Restore the iPod
If it will not work, you cannot get it serviced by Apple under the warranty as you have voided the warranty.
You would have to do something like this...

If you have all of the songs and videos still in your library I would recommend doing the restore of the iPod.

PLEASE HELP, new error when I try to sync my iPod!!!

The past two times I've tried to sync my iPod nano (4th gen.), a message comes up saying "The iPod, 'Emily's iPod', cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (-48)." Though it seems that my iPod is still being synced, this message pops up three times throughout the process & the songs don't appear on my iPod.
I really don't want to have to lose all my songs & start iTunes all over again! Can someone please help?

You might want to reset that ipod, if still getting error 48 then try a restore or a different USB port.

My old IPOD broke & will not function. I bought a new IPOD and need to download the music from my original ipod library on to my new IPOD (same computer). How do I do this?? Is the music on your computer? If so then make sure everything is updated...

Then just connect the iPod and it will sync the songs in iTunes.

Please help, I'm extremely frustrated. ipod is stuck in recovery mode. Connected to different computer to restore and after 75 minutes of downloading get a message that there was a Problem downloading, network connection timed out. Cannot get past "connect to itunes" on ipod.

Disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and update usually resolves that error.

ok, i just bought the ipod video and am having troubles with putting songs into it.
i know when u connect the ipod to ur computer, it automatically syncs all the songs u have in ur library to ur ipod.
so i took mine to one of my friends house and updated my ipod with his computer. so now i have 1016 good songs. but i can't update it with my computer now because i don't have the songs (that are in my ipod) in my computer.
so if i updated my ipod w/ mine, it'd delete the songs i got from my friends house.
so now, i have to go over to his house everytime i wanna update my ipod, and trust me it's pain in my little toush
so please tell me if there is anyway for my to tranport the songs FROM my ipod TO my computer or just update it with my computer without erasing the previous songs.

Correct. Apple made it this way to help prevent illegal file sharing of copyrighted material.

Hello, was attempting to back up old ipod touch to laptop (in order to set up new ipod) but message read that cannot connect because it requires itunes version 10.6.3 or later. itunes will not update on laptop. Any ideas? your help would be much appreciated as I'm new to all of this and don't know how else to transfer old ipod content over to new one. Thanks

iOS 6 requires iTunes 10.7 or later. Install the latest version of iTunes which is 11.

The song that it stops on, can you play it in iTunes? Have you tried to sync without this song in your library?

Please Help. Installed iTunes 7 and now my 4G iPod & Shuffle won't sync !

And please don't refer me to the basic "uninstall/re-install" crap. It doesn't work. Have any other windows users experienced this?
Oh and also the "find album art" doesn't work and I can't turn the "shared" stuff off. I go to preferences and de-select everything on sharing, then lo and behold it automatically puts the check mark right back in!
However the last 2 problems pale in comparison to not being able to sync my 4G or Shuffle!

PLEASE HELP! unable to see my iphone or my ipod either in MY COMPUTER or ITUNES...

hola...I am sooo fustrated because i have been able to see my iphone or ipod on my computer either in MY COMPUTER or ITUNES...i have followed the directions to properly uninstall, reinstall itunes over 10 times...this all happened when my computer hard drive crashed and i had to get a new one installed. apfter that, it has NOT wanted to see my apple products...i tunes loads fine but they do not see my product AT ALL. i can not update my ipod or iphone. i am beyond fustrated trying to get this done. i have googled, and searched all over...read numorous articles on what to do and can not understand how this could be! also i have noticed that even though it says that APPLE MOBILE DEVICE is loaded, i do not see it in the 'MANAGED' area under the USB area at all, even 'hidden' it i not there....i just done' know what to do...ANY ADVICE i would GREATLY appreciated it!!! thanks so much!

Could be your security software preventing the devices from being recognized in iTunes. Try disabling a/v software and turn off the Firewall.
Disable antivirus software
Turn Windows Firewall on or off

Whenever I try to sync my iPod a message pops up saying that it failed to sync as the session didn't start. Please help as I now have no music on my iPod.
