Please help me browse faster--ahhhh

Recently when I have been browsing the net on my MacBook Pro (using tiger 10.4 and safari 3.0.4) my Mac has been painfully slow. It has always been very fast. I tried upgrading to safari 4.0 but there is not difference. I called apple and they suggested reseting the PRAM which I did, but no improvement. Please offer suggestions.

I simply wish to sync two controls in the following way:
1. I have Control A displaying three values (like a combo box) which
cannot be changed by the user, for example: X, Y, Z
2. The second control, Control B, has defualt value, say 100, however
the user can change its value when the application is operated
3. The user first select Control A value then he set Control B value,
for example for Control A's value X he sets Control B's value to 150,
for Control's A value Y he assigns Control's B value to 250 and for
Control's A value Z he assigns 450
The problem starts when i switch between Control A's values (states),
the values of Control B were not kept
Hope i explained it ok..

I am not sure I understand exactly what you are trying to do
If you want Control B to be automatically set to a value that depending on Control A's state, you can use a local variable and a LUT (look up table) in wich you asign a Control B's value for each Control A's state.
Or it's even easier with a combo box since you can use it as a LUT by disabling "Values match labels"

PowerPoint Problem On Mac... Please Help!

I am having a PowerPoint problem on Mac:
When I connect my Macbook Pro to the projector by a VGA cable and I set the PowerPoint as a full screen it works on Mac but on the projector what's show on the laptop it's shown on the projector but small in the left side and a counter like the quicktime and the time increasing and some other icos that are only in Mac like the close and minimize and other things
so why am I facing like that? and how can I solve this issue to show the full screen from the laptop on the projector?
BTW I am using Mac OS X snow leopard
Please help me as fast as you can because it's kind of urgent

and I will tell you what happens when I plug the VGA cable to the Mac:
When I plug it the screen turns blue for few seconds and then everything in the laptop become bigger and it shows on the projector but when I turn the PowerPoint in a full screen ( only when I turn it in full screen) it doesn't show the full screen on the projector and the content of the power point page in the upper left side of the projector and in the middile and right side it shows like the quicktime and some icons related to Mac

There can be some of that. Unfortunately, it's up to the app developers to make their app work with the iOS.
So checking for updates can help. You can also look at the reviews for the app, see if others have the same issue. If 8 has broken the app, all you can do is wait.
In some cases, a reset can help. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and try again. (this can work if the app is fine with iOS8 but is just glitching...it's a harmless reboot of the system)
Another thing to try is to force quit the app(s) and force them to reboot. Double tap the home button. Flick the preview for the app up and off the screen to close it. Then single tap the home button to exit the mode. Try your app again. If it's just a glitch then this sometimes clears it up.
I know once I updated my devices I then had several updates pushed out - updates that required iOS8 so weren't available before the update.

My favorite browser Safari (5.1.5 ) has stopped working. Yes I know is on a PC. But is been very good to me for a long time, untill about two months ago. I keep getting a pop up message saying "Safari has stopped working" I will close the pop up message and continue working but within a few minute, the message will pop up again. The browser opens up fast as always and runs fine but the message is a pain and annoying. I'm running Firefox now , but I want my Safari back . Please help.

I generated the problem report similar to the above screen shot " by way of IE 9 " but will not let me copy and paste the contents as a screen shot in reply to your post here . Copy to clipboard did not work either. I might be doing something wrong. Oh well.
By the way , the only difference is- The Problem Event Name of mine is not BEX. but rather : APPCRASH. Fault Module Name : JavaScriptCore.dll. Fault Module Version: 7534.55.2.1. They will only be where you put them If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country. You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located.

Try putting your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. After that then test it out. If during the restore you get and error code, check it against the second article for further assistance.

How do I clean install? I have tried the reinstall osx but still the other apps I have downloaded are still there. And also the Safari is not working anymore... I have to install Opera to have a working browser since I reinstalled the OS... please help.

I have purchased this ultrabook hoping I can slowly learn how to work it... I am a windows user and would like to shift to linux based machines...
My first problem is that I need to run IE explorer and media player to play wmv files on a cbt nugget iso image... It's impossible to do it since Mac does not support WMV file format... so I need to install WINE to emulate windows OS inside OS X and run windows programs... I can't install it either by following this site...

What you're doing is reinstalling OS X over top of your present installation. If you want to reinstall "fresh", do this:
Reboot while holding down Command + Option + R, first use Disk Utility to erase your volume, then reinstall OS X.
Best done if you FIRST connect to the Internet using Ethernet...much faster than WiFi.

If you have Safari 5.0.6 that's the latest version for 10.5.8 Leopard.

I thought I'd share this, in case it helps someone else. I have Logic Studio 9.1.1, but it seems to work on Logic 8 as well.
The problem: When launching Logic, it would hang or crash at "Initializing Loop Browser". I had to force quit, and then go into the Activity Monitor and force quit the LogicPro process.
A temporary fix was as follows: (This is a permanent fix for some users.)
1. Go to the Applications folder
2. CTRL + click (or right click) on the Logic application
3. Select "Show Package Contents"
4. Go to Frameworks/LogicLoopBrowser.framework
5. Move "bomread" and the "LogicLoopBrowser" alias to the desktop
6. Launch Logic
7. Move "bomread" and the "LogicLoopBrowser" alias back into the LogicLoopBrowser.framework folder
In my case, I had to do this every time I launched Logic. IF you have the same experience, here's the permanent fix:
1. Go to ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.plist (where "~" is your user name). This is your Logic preferences file.
2. Copy this file and save it to your desktop.
3. Find com.apple.logic.pro.cs in the same folder
4. Copy and save to desktop. This is your control surface preferences file.
5. Go to the Applications folder
6. CTRL + click (or right click) on the GarageBand application
7. Select "Show Package Contents"
8. Go to Contents/MacOS and copy "bomread" there
9. Find Logic's version of "bomread" using my temporary fix instructions
10. Paste the GarageBand "bomread" over the Logic "bomread"
11. Open Logic. This first time, it will take a few minutes.
12. Close Logic.
13. Put your saved preference files back into their original locations, which will involve replacing newly created, default preference files.
Logic should now launch without problems. Good luck!

Dreamweaver tables not displaying correctly in internet explorer browser, please help!!!!

Could someone please help me with this issue i've been having for almost a year now and can't find any information on getting this fixed, for some reason the features specs and required tables rows are not displaying correctly, the image is out of aligned when viewing the results using the internet explorer browser only, the firefox browser works just as needed but when i try to view the same code in IE the tables are not aligned properly and the text is not margined correctly either, i tried playing around with the css style that i have and no results. Please help me fix this issue so that my page would display in internet explorer just like under Firefox. Below are the pictures of the problem i'm having.

Try this without the border images and it will work in all browsers with increased text size. That's assuming eBay supports embedded CSS styles (which I'm not convinced they do). Inline styles are safer IMHO.

I am having trouble with the jQuery tabs browser. Please help!!!!!!!!

I inserted the jQuery tabs browser and it is not working properly. I was just testing it so I haven't changed some of the coding yet or the wording. The problem is that when I test it in live view it shows actual tabs but when I look it up on the remote server it shows the word tab and then has paragraphs under each word. I want the tabs. Not sure what to do. Anybody please help. I am getting very close to my launch date. Thank you ahead of time.

I am having the same problem and have contacted Canon, they've answered me several times with things to try but nothing they've told me to try helps. It looks like they are going shrug, scratch their heads soon and pass the buck to Microsoft or HP my comp make .
I have a Windows 8.1 OS, 64 bit comp.

Please help me browse faster--ahhhh
