Please help me deploy!!!!!
I am new at this, so please help if you can :) I have OAS407,
Dev6 installed. I made a report server, listener, cartridge,
and rdf file. I can see my report when i type
http://machine.domain:port/rwows?report=test.rdf+userid=scott/tig
er@database+destype=cache+desformat=HTML+server=reportservername
from the machine where OAS + Dev6 is installed.
My question is how do users get to see my report. Do they type
in the same http line? What needs to be configured in the
client machine because I tried to type it on my other machine,
and it says connection with server canot be established.
Thank you to all

please help!!Seems to be some kind of classloader issue.
You can check if the session has a descriptor for the class by calling,
session.getDescriptor(Class.forName("t3.model.NibuSalaryWorksheets"));
It is most likely that the class is on the classpath twice.
Instead of loading the sessions.xml with the thread class loader you could try using the classes class loader.
i.e.
DatabaseSession session = (DatabaseSession)sessionManager.getSession(xmlLoader, "default", t3.model.NibuSalaryWorksheets.class.getClassLoader()); -
Please Help with Deploying of a Simple Tomcat Project
Hi all,
I hope this is the right forum to post this question.I have a Tomcat folder named "TomcatProject", it has the proper directory structure as the Tomcat Project.
I want to deploy it into a Windows Server 2000 OS, so i will be deploying it in the {Tomcat Installation} / webapps/ my directory ..... Is this right?... (TC 5.0.28, Java 1.4.2)
But I keep getting the resource not availabe error.Error 404.Kindly let me know what the problem is .....
Any Help would be greatly appreciated
ASClose enough forum :-)
Ok Quick checklist.
Tomcat is running?
You can access the Tomcat home page
http://localhost:8080 ?
In [myDirectory] you have a folder called WEB-INF,
with a valid web.xml file?
Your website should be:
http://localhost:8080/[myDirectory]/myJspPage.jsp
where [myDirectory] is the name of the directory
under webapps.
I will you point you in the direction of a tutorial.
This should be installed on your machine as well:
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.0-doc/appdev
/index.html
specifically
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.0-doc/appdev
/deployment.html
cheers,
evnafetsThanks for the prompt reply.Will follow the tutorial.

Please help. Deployment of application locally with BC4J in JDeveloper 3.2.
Dear all friends,
I am a beginner of JDeveloper. Yesterday, I asked a question involving deployment of application in this forum. However, there are no any replies to me. I am feeling a bit dispointed. Now, I would like to introduce the process I did this deployment. I wish to get any suggestions.
1. At first, I developed an project of business component in my NT computer, which is one-table component. I tested it successfully. My database (Oracle 8) is located at a Solaris server.
2. I deployed this project locally by simply archieve file. I also included all libraries (Jdeveloper runtime, JDBC, JBO runtime etc) in it.
3. I created an new project for my client interface (GUI form) by using dataform wizard. I complied and execute it. Everything is fine.
4. Before deploying, I created a library that points at the simply Jar file of my BC file in step2. And added it to the client project properties.
5. In deployment of client project, I used "web and comand line application" option. And also included all the default library (they are JBO runtime, Jdeveloper runtime, JDBC etc and the library I created in step 4). I indicated the main class.
However, when I double click this client Jar file. Nothing happened. In my imagination, it should be executed as in development process. I also think all necessary libraries and resource have been packaged into this executable jar file, which is stand alone and can be deployed to other platform. But I failed.
I need help from you. Is my action and understanding correct?
Thank you very much for help

Not all the dependent jar files are packaged into a single jar. I would recommend you create a batch file, set the classpath and the launch your app. To help set the classpath you can use setvars.bat script in the bin directory. You will have to add your middle tier jar file and the client tier jar and execute java
call j:\bin\setvars.bat -tools=bc4j_local;
rem dependent jars
set classptath=%classpath%;mt.jar;ct.jar

Please help me about jdeveloper application deployment for weblogic
At the beginning I just thought after developing an adf application then just deploy it as a .ear file and deploy it in the weblogic console and everything will be ok.But in fact I got a lot of problems. Then I got a tutorial for that and I do what it said step by step but some new problems occured. This is the tutorial I mentioned: [How-To: ADF Deployment Guide|http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/jdeveloper/howto/11114/managedserver/wlsadfms.htm]
Now could somebody tell how did you deploy your adf application?
Here is the errors I got.
This is the install packege and the OS I use:
1. CentOS 6.3_x64 + jdeveloper11123.jar(include wls10.3.5) + adr(package name is ofm_appdev_generic_11.1.1.6.0_disk1_1of1.zip)[and just now I used a solaris11 vm from oracle and install jdeveloper11.1.2.3, the same probem occured as in CentOS.]
2. Win7_x64 + jdeveoper11123.exe(include wls10.3.5) + adr mentioned above
Here is the problems I get:
in the case 1,after I install the jdeveloper(using sun jdk 1.7), the weblogic seems to be well though I didn't configure a domain.But after I open an
application(which I get from the oracle jdeveloper tutorial demo,which works well in my Win7 env) and I run it, the integrated weblogic can't get
started. Firstly in the console it said the -jrocket identifier is not recognized, then I modify the setDomainEnv.sh and the startWebLogic.sh file in the
integrated wls domain (the one in the .jdeveloper directer) to set the JAVA_VM variable to -server.After that another problem came out: when the
wls goes to status "starting",it is blocked and I turn to the system monitor it shows that a java thread using more than 1GB of memory of my system
and occupy 150% of my cpu(it's a double-core computer). I wait for about 5 minutes when a error came said "PermSize is too small".then I modify the
setDomainEnv.sh file again to set the PermSize to be 1024m and MaxPermSize to be 2048.(the variable name is something like that, maybe not the
exactly right. I think you can understand which one it is.) But the problem is still there.
then in the case 2.Firstly the jdev and the integrated wls works well, but when i deploy an application which works well to a ear file and deploy it to a
standalone wls(10.3.5) it never works.the error is something referrence/dependences libraries is not found.Then I tried to new a server connection to
the standalone wls and I got the tutorial [how_to_deploy_adf|http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/jdeveloper/howto/11114/managedserver/wlsadfms.html] , as the tutorial said I patch my standalone
wls with the adr and everything goes ok, no error reported.Then I tried the new server in the new machine under the manage of the adminserver and apply the
adf template in the localhost:port/em console. But after I restart the new server(by the console and then by the stop+startweblogic.bat file) the server is running
while the application in the new server is just "Unavailable". I tried this for three times in three computer, two of them are running win7,the other one is running winxp.
I don't know what is wrong and I am totally a newbie about this. Somebody please help me.Thanks a lot!
regard,Neo.Neo,
there are a couple of problems. First of all, jdev comes with it'S own jdk bundled in the product (jdk 1.6_x). Next thing is if you use JDev 11.1.2.3.0 to build an application you must use a wls 10.3.5 or 10.3.6 where you need to install the correct runtime onto. In your case you first install adf runtime 11.1.1.6.0 and then you need to install two patches which update the adf runtime to 11.1.2.3.0. These spathes are only available via support.oracle.com, meaning you need asupport contract to get them.
More information you can find in my blog http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/09/14/jdeveloper-versions-vs-weblogic-server-versions/
The rest of your problems go away once you have installed the right adf runtime on your server.

Hi,
I have downloaded the example 'banking.zip' and have installed it.
I have followed all given steps in the tutorial, but I am unable to
see the login page.
I am also not able to see the ejb and web application descriptor file
from the admin console.
I have copied the banking directory to
'$WEBLOGIC\config\mydomain\applications'.
There are 3 directories under it

contains the descriptor .xml files)
(2) web (containing web-inf and html,jsp and image files. Web-inf
contains weblogic.xml and web.xml)
(3) Meta-Inf (containing the application.xml)
I get the 'Error 404--Not Found' error when I go to
http://localhost:8001/banking/login.html. (my server is running on
8001 port, i hope this doesn't matter)
When I try to edit the web application descriptor I get the following

- Thanks in advance,
SonaliHi,
I was able to successfully deploy after installing
weblogic 6.1 SP2 (earlier I had SP1). Also, I had to make
changes in the BankAppServlet code since it tries to find the
bean with a different name than one specified in jndi-name.
- Thanks,
Sonali

Error while deploying applications in ALBPM 6.0 ! Please help.
Hi,
We are testing the migration from ALBPM 5.7 to 6.0.4. We followed the steps of the upgrade guide from 5.7 to 6.0. MikeHi Gaurav,
Other applications used the same the datasource, which I used for this application,
are running fine.
I think there is some bug in the wlserver 6.1 to create the join table. I think
it is the time I should ask the bea wlserver 6.1.

Hi all,
I wonder any one comes across with deploying beans with M:Nrelationship with
"No resource available".
I defined the relationship in ejb-jar.xml and dbms in the
weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml, but when I deployed the beans I got
the following error

Urgent:Please Help. Need to deploy web application with servlet:(
Tomcat 4.0 is already installed.
Trying to deploy a web application and invoke a servlet through it.
Here is the command I am using for deploying the application:
http://localhost:8080/manager/install?path=/NewApplication&war=file:d:\Tomcat4\webapps\NewApplication
The application get deployed. However, I have a problem. As soon I stop and restart the server, this application is gone.
1. Please someone help: How should I make it permanent so that the application stays even if I restart the server.
2. I am not able to access the servlets placed in the /WEB-INF/classes/ sub-directory under NewApplication directory.
If you need I can cut and paste the web.xml file which will show the deployment descriptor.
Please help: How do I make this work. I need it urgent.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Indrasish.The simplest solution would be to put the war file inside the webapps directory and restart the server. You should be able to access the app using the http://servername/app

Deploying servlet on Tomcat using "ant install" not working. Please help.
Hello. Normally I can find answers by using search, but I can't today for some reason. So please bare with me if this has been mentioned before. I will try to provide as much info as possible so that helping me isn't too much a chore. Thank you.
I have downloaded and installed the JWSDP 1.3. and Tomcat is running. I am also using Ant 1.5.4 (previous installation - not one included with JWSDP) and modeled my build.xml file after the template provided here:
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.0-doc/appdev/build.xml.txt.
When I run ant on my respository, everything builds fine. But when I run Ant with the install target, I get the following error:
BUILD FAILED
file:C:/owl/build.xml:366: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response co
de: 401 for URL: http://localhost:8080/manager/deploy?path=%2Fowl&war=file%3A%2F
%2FC%3A%5Cowl%2Fbuild
Here is line 366 build.xml:
localWar="file://${build.home}"/>
...which is included in this block for the target "install":
<target name="install" depends="compile"
description="Install application to servlet container">
<deploy url="${manager.url}"
username="${manager.username}"
password="${manager.password}"
path="${app.path}"
localWar="file://${build.home}"/>
</target>
When I point my brower to the url located in the error verbose, I get the following:
FAIL - Encountered exception java.lang.NullPointerException
I am trying to get my environment set up correctly before I start spending time developing servlets, but I am getting tempted to just develop to servlets and "manually" installing/deploying them either by copying and pasting or by using the Tomcat manager. I would really like to do everything from Ant though if possible. Please help.I don't think this is at all correct:
localWar="file://${build.home}"/>You've got to create a real WAR file - a JAR file with WEB-INF and all its minions inside it:
http://access1.sun.com/techarticles/simple.WAR.html
That's the file you need to refer to there. You can manage that with Ant too, of course.
Here's what my Ant build.xml looks like for Web apps (there's a build-web.properties file that follows):

Problem with Accessing Deployed Servlets Please help, very urgent.
Inspite of going through lots of Docs. I am not able to access the JSP which is deployed using JDeveloper 3.2 in the browser? What should be the URL and where should I place the JSP and the related files in the Apache Server (Specific directory)?
Please help, this is very Urgent.
Could I get some sites where I can get detailed description of how to deploy and access Servlets and JSPS using JDeveloper 3.2 for OAS 9i?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Kavita.
nullHi Kativa,
In answer to your first question: In most apache installs, you want to place all your JSPs under the Apache/htdocs directory. This htdocs directory becomes the root directory of your HTTP request, so, for example, to access the file
Apache/htdocs/mydir/myJSP.jsp
you'd point your browser to
server:port/mydir/myJSP.jsp]http://server:port/mydir/myJSP.jsp
As to your second question: Do you mean Oracle 9iAS? If so, look at this HOWTO: http://technet.oracle.com:89/ubb/Forum2/HTML/006398.html
JDeveloper 3.2 does not support deployment to OAS (the predecessor to iAS), but there was no OAS 9i.

R2_AQ_JMS MDB deployment Error--Urgent, please help!!
Deploy a simple MDB to Oracle9iASR2, follow the steps:
1. Define the MDB in ejb-jar.xml
<message-driven>
<description>MDB Queue Listener</description>
<display-name>QueueListener Message Driven Bean</display-name>
<ejb-name>QueueListenerMDB</ejb-name>
<ejb-class>mdb.QueueListenerMDB</ejb-class>
<transaction-type>Container</transaction-type>
<message-driven-destination>
<jms-destination-type>javax.jms.Topic</jms-destination-type>
</message-driven-destination>
</message-driven>
2. Modify the orion-ejb-jar.xml
<message-driven-deployment
name="QueueListenerMDB"
destination-location="jms/SalesTopic"
connection-factory-location="jms/theTopicConnectionFactory"
subscription-name="MDBSUB"
>
</message-driven-deployment>
3. define the resource-provider in application.xml
<resource-provider class="oracle.jms.OjmsContext" name="SalesJMS">
<description> OJMS/AQ </description>
<property name="url" value="jdbc:oracle:thin:@dell2400:1521:mydb"></property>
<property name="username" value="user"></property>
<property name="password" value="pssword"></property>
</resource-provider>
4. Deploy the ear file and got the following error:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.evermind.server.ejb.MessageDrivenHome.<init>(MessageDrivenHome.java:280)
at com.evermind.server.ejb.EJBPackageDeployment.bindHomes(EJBPackageDeployment.java:239
at com.evermind.server.ejb.EJBContainer.postInit(EJBContainer.java:589)
at com.evermind.server.Application.postInit(Application.java:420)
at com.evermind.server.administration.ServerApplicationInstallation.finish(ServerApplic
ationInstallation.java:491)
at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Native Method)
at com.evermind.server.rmi.RMICallHandler.run(RMICallHandler.java:80)
at com.evermind.util.ThreadPoolThread.run(ThreadPoolThread.java:64)
Any idea on what's the cause of this. It seems that the Oracle 9i's support of MDB differs significantly from R1. The demo sample that works for R1 no longer work for R2. For example, the following DD doesn't seem to work with R2.
<resource-ref>
<res-ref-name>jms/Queue/senderQueueConnectionFactory</res-ref-name>
<res-type>javax.jms.QueueConnectionFactory</res-type>
<res-auth>Container</res-auth>
<res-sharing-scope>Shareable</res-sharing-scope>
</resource-ref>
<resource-env-ref>
<resource-env-ref-name>jms/Queue/senderQueue</resource-env-ref-name>
<resource-env-ref-type>javax.jms.Queue</resource-env-ref-type>
</resource-env-ref>
<resource-ref>
<res-ref-name>jms/Topic/senderTopicConnectionFactory</res-ref-name>
<res-type>javax.jms.TopicConnectionFactory</res-type>
<res-auth>Container</res-auth>
<res-sharing-scope>Shareable</res-sharing-scope>
</resource-ref>
Please help!! This is very urgent! Thanks in advance!<jms-destination_type> tag should be <destination-type> its a oracle error
