Please help me diagnose and fix my SDD problem
I have a mid-2011 MacBook Air (13 in) – 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5, 120GB SDD, and 4GB RAM – running Yosemite 10.10.2.
I noticed recently that I had approx 38 GB available of the 120 GB SSD and 82 used (Finder and Disk utility numbers agree). However, when I added the "Get info" numbers of the sizes of the folders contained in the Mac HD volume the total was approximately 58 GB, and that was what the finder was telling me the day before.
I ran Disk utility to verify the disk, it could not do so. It could not repair the disk either (I think the file system exit code was 8). I rebooted holding down "r" and after a couple of tries, that Disk utility app did repair the disk and Disk utility now verifies the disk. However, it shows that 82 GB of the SDD are used and 38 GB are available. The SDD has only one partition (startup partition) and in Disk utility the partition layout shows one partition but only about 4/5 of the layout box is shaded in blue – the bottom 1/5 is white.
The computer seems to be running OK.
I have a SuperDuper clone that I can boot and run from (it is 53 GB). It shows my 120 GB Mac HD contains 82 GB with 38 GB free space. I made the clone after I noticed this problem.
The graph of storage from "About this Mac" showing the internal SSD and the SuperDuper clone are below. The size of the "other" segment in the internal SDD seems to correspond to the difference between the missing – unrecognized – space on my internal SDD and what should be shown as available.
Do I need to run recovery (power up + r)? And if I do that do I need to restore files and apps from a Time Machine backup? Should I restore with the SuperDuper clone? If I wait until a 10.10.3 update, might that fix the inconsistency? What's your advice?

I think you're misinterpreting: there are not 2 partitions: the blue represents the part of the patron that is full, and the white represents the free space (on the same partition).

[PLEASE HELP!] .m4v and .mpeg4 Audio Export problems (QT 7 pro)
When i try to export any clips to .m4v (movie to ipod) or .mpeg4 the video is exported but has no sound. When i select "export to .mpeg4" and click on "options" it says "audio: no audio track in source movie". This is the same message displayed on all the clips i have tried to export.
Does anyone know how i can record the audio for .m4v files or .mpeg4 files?

Windows XPI'm using Quicktime Pro v 7.0.4 on Mac. I tried exporting Quictime mpeg4 to iPod format and get only video but no audio! And I'm talking Apple all the way. These files were made from a Sony digital camera with the digital video record option.
Believe most (if not all) Sony digital cameras still use MPEG video format. As such, the files contain a "muxed" stream consisting of blocks of video data interspersed with blocks of audio data for A/V synchronization. As Kirk alluded to above, QT is a "frame-to-frame" sync application and does not fully support "muxed" (e.g., MPEG1, MPEG2, VOB, some AVI, MJPEG, etc.) formats.
I do use a 3rd party program called Snapz Pro X to capture to .mpeg4 and these files export just fine to iPod format!
Good solution for capturing streamed video but not the best here. As you suggested, use a third party, MPEG based application like iSquint (free) or, better yet, MPEG Streamclip (free) for one-step conversion with audio.
I tried to convert the mpeg4 format to MOV format and then convert MOV to m4v but no audio there.
No surprise here. If you check your first MPEG4 file you will see that no audio track was present following the initial conversion and no amount of further conversions will add a non-existent audio track. -
When attempting to start iTunes, I get the following: "The iTunes library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-50)." Can someone please help me get this fixed?
Same problem here since latest update. As usual poor support from Apple with no answer or fix for this bug.

It sounds like you are unable to finish restoring with iTunes due to this error -1 message. Usually that is associated with security software. Use the steps from the following article to help with that:
Get help with iOS update and restore errors
Related errors: 1, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer might have a hardware issue that stops the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't blocking your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Make sure that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
If the issue persists, I would next use the last section of the following article titled "If your device turns on but gets stuck during start up"

Can't find a playlist I created on my playlist or computer? I didn't delete it. I don't want to create it again because it took a long time. please help me find and recover.
Playlists only exist as part of the larger iTunes library listing so if you are not seeing it there it doesn't exist anywhere else. I know with my older version of iTunes it is very easy to accidentally delete a playlist. With newer versions it may be possible to recover it with the undo feature in the menu but this likely will only work immediately after the deletion.

I got my first imac a few days ago, and i decided to install Adobe CC.
When i want to run Adobe Bridge, says "the operation could not be completed", the same happens with Adobe After Effects.
And I also have a problem with Premiere, when i want to export a project says that premiere must close.
This is the try version, is this a problem of Adobe or Apple? i'm very worried

Bueno los pasos son:
2. Select Go from the Finder Menu.
3. Select Computer.
4. Select Macintosh HD.
5. Select Users.
6. Select your user profile.
7. Right click on user profile. Select Get Info.
8. Go to bottom and unlock with admin password to make changes.
9. Make sure your user profile has Read and Write privileges by selecting from dropdown menu.
10. Go down to wheel at very bottom and select Apply to enclosed items. This should allow Adobe Bridge to run properly.
