Please help me: Failed 8310 OS update to OS 4.5 via Desktop Manager

Hello BB Community,
As of this morning, I can't use my Blackberry curve 8310......for anything.
My problems started just as I was about to do a routine USB cable sync between my BB and Outlook.
I was informed by Desktop Manager v 4.7 that OS 4.5 is available.
I delayed the sync, and start the update process.
Everything............. except my BB restart and data reload.......... completed flawlessly.
Then a message says the update has failed, & the entire thing halts.
So, I wait a while then pull the USB cable & turn off the BB.
Turn on......the result was hourglass & white screen.
Removed & replaced battery....result was hourglass & white screen.
Restarted PC and connected BB...........result was hourglass & white screen & Desktop Manager does not recognise BB Connection, but Windows XP sees BB media minus folders.
Reinstalled Desktop manager....... still not recognising BB USB connection on the main screen.
Even though I have all the information saved in Outlook, I am getting desperate.
QUESTIONS:
Is there anything I can do to get my BB curve 8310 operational again?
Should I consider reloading an OS?
My phone is unlocked, so not sure if trying to download and reinstall an OS will LOCK the phone.
The unit's previous startup screen used to show a T-Mobile image.
Should I download the UK T-Mobile OS upgrade?

Good luck, this will work... I have done it many times.
Be patient with JLCmder. If it does not work at first, keep trying, I have seen it take 20-25 tries before it "connected".
Try it with and without the battery inserted if you must.

Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

Restore as New (no backup)... then Re-Sync your Content.
Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11.1.5) Installed on your computer
iTunes free download from www.itunes.com/download

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Please help my 10.4.5 update problem!

I'm having major problems with my computer. I'd been using 10.4.3 with absolutely no problems for awhile. I did "software update" and began downloading the 10.4.5 combo update. When it finished, it said something about the installation failed and to try opening the package in the finder (it was automatically put in the trash). I tried this and it gave me the same error message. I thought maybe it was a problem with software update, so I just came to the apple site and downloaded it directly from there.
It downloaded fine, I started the installation process. It was going for awhile, and then the installation failed again part way through. Now here's the problem. I continued using the computer, and it started crashing. I restarted, and tried to used logic pro and itunes, and as soon as i open them i get deafening noise. I was wondering what happened, so I check "about this mac", and it says I'm running 10.4.5!
I don't know how, can it possibly do a partial installation? Please help me either get back to 10.4.3 or install 10.4.5 fully. I have no idea. You can email me directly @ [email protected]

I just checked again this morning. When I click on the Apple in the upper left menu bar and then "About This Mac" it says 10.4.5.
When I go to System Preferences >> Software Update >> Installed Updates, the last successful Mac OS X Update was Mac OS X Update Combined 10.4.2 on 19 July 2005.
Since I haven't received any help, I was doing my best to ignore it. However, because trying to install the 10.4.5 update was unsuccessful, I think that is directly related to the following apps continuously unexpectedly quitting now: Safari, Mail, iChat.
This started happening only recently.
If anyone can help I'd appreciate it!!!

First let me say that I've had my NL0920 for six months and love it, but I am really frustrated that even 5 months after Amber came out my phone won't update and even fails updating when I try using other methods that have been discussed here. Please help, this is really frustrating because I don't have any of the Amber goodness and at this rate I know I will also miss the Black update. Even though I love my 920 I fully expected it would be updated fairly constantly as that was one of the main things that were easy to see from the press about Nokia.

The phone is an unlocked Puerto Rican Country variant and is being used in Panama Central America with the Claro Operator. According to the Global Availability page (http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/) the Country variant should already have the amber update available.
When I try checking for phone updates through the Settings menu, it tells me that my phone is up to date, which is obviously not true.
Please help. I love this phone but if it won't upgrade then I am going to have to start looking at something else, because I really hoped I would get the new camera improvements, and the same with the black update.

Please help... flash player updating issues...

trying to update version 6.0r25... i downloaded the installer
for version r79, and when i run it, it says it cant locate the
plugins folder... so when i try to install without it, or make a
folder for it, the install program just freezes up....
have tried unsuccessfully to install for the last 10-15

I suspect this is a Yahoo problem. They'll need to update
their Flash Plaeyr detection. I wrote about it yesterday in several
threads on this forum, and in my blog at

I ran a quick test and I had no problem using chat in FireFox
with the FP10 plugin. It only failed when I tried it in IE6 with
the FP10 ActiveX control (see below). Make a note of this when you
contact yahoo.

that we can ping on our side..

This is incorrect. The Flash Player ActiveX control is only
used with IE Windows. All other browsers and platforms use the
Flash Player plugin.

PLEASE HELP! STP changes not updated in FCP

I've watched tutorials for STP and I can't get a simple process to work.
I have original footage in FCP opened and I am working on resyncing VO over audio in STP.
In FCP, I select all and "send to Soundtrack PRO Multitrack"
The project opens in STP, but when I make changes, deleting original source audio tracks and replace them...SAVE the progress but I go back to FCP to see my work updated, as it does in Motion when you send it out, BUT NOTHING IS UPDATED or changed in FCP!!
What am i not doing, or doing wrong???? I refuse to do any further tedious syncing if my work won't ultimatley be updated in FCP to finalize the project.
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.

it's a stop motion project, so the compressor was set to photo-jpeg, field dominance to none, video processing to "render in rgb". the timeline also contained livetype dynamic fonts and textures on top of the pictures. in the middle of my work i spotted a few artifacts and eventually managed to get rid of them by setting field dominance to lower field. in a few moments, i noticed the livetype textures had gone invisible.
