Please Help Me I am DESPERATE!!

I am struggling with getting Shockwave and Flashplayer to load on my computer. I have looked at some of the other posts and tried many of the suggestions in them. I download Shockwave and check it on my manage addons first its there then its gone. My control panel says that they are installed but whenever I try to use a program that requires Flashplayer it directs me to install it. I am about to chuck my computer out the window I am so frustrated. I am running on Windows XP, IE 8. I have no clue what bit my computer is though. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Hi carriebelle71, Thanks for the info on the Virus removal. Now when you say you are not "using" AVG or Ad-Aware, are these programs still Installed or have you Uninstalled them? Also with AVG, did you in addition to Uninstalling it from Add/Remove use their Removal Tool?
On Ad-Aware, do they have an "Ad-Aware Plus feature"?
In your Post#1, you stated you have these two programs, so I'm trying to determine the status.
I've read your comments about Adobe. Personally I wish on the Forum, they would change the wording from "Top Participants" to Top Volunteers since this is confusing to Users. Some think all listed there are Adobe employees and that's not the case.
The "Community Professionals" may or may not be Employees, I don't know. They could separate them if they are.
All of those listed there are separate from Adobe Support, which charges a fee. I am a Volunteer, not an Employee. Hope that explains it a little.
Now back to your issue. Since you had the Virus, I would like you to go to www.malwarebytes.org and download and SAVE to your Desktop the Free Version. Use the Update feature and when that is done, if you still have AVG/Ad-Aware Installed, Disable them first. Then close all browser windows and Run a full Scan with MBAM. Many users that have done this, find that all malware had not been removed. If MBAM finds any additonal, then follow their instructions.
Let me know on the above. We want to be sure your system is clean before proceeding. Trust me, I know where I'm going with all of this:-) I've dealt with these Viruses and the damage they do for over 6 weeks or more.

Mac booting problem - Please help! very, very desperate!

My mac was being very, very slow so I turned it off, then as it it was booting it was taking ages so i restared in safe mode. While booting in safe mode the black bar at the bottom goes around 2/5 of the way across and then my macbook just switches off.
Ive tried:
fsck
disk utility repair/verify
reinstalling OS X Lion
When i tried to repair, it said i needed to erase everything and reinstall the OS. Last night when i tried to it said both drives are locked so i couldnt. And now when i just tried again, neither drivers are appearing; the box is just blank.
Let alone my livelyhood on the laptop, i have thousands and thousands pictures which if lost, would genuinley heartbreak me. I have much valuable data on my laptop and i really dont want to erase all data, because me being the gigantic fool that i am, i only have one time machine back up from about a year and a half ago.
Please, please help.

unfortunately you’ve now discovered where the value proposition lies in making regular backups — if your livelihood depends upon your laptop, that lack of due diligence is rather baffling.
Which model MacBook Pro do you have, and which version of OS X is installed on it? Do you have an external bootable drive?

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! I am desperate..."error with audio configuration"

I have had a flurry of problems that are related in another link, about drives.
I had to complete restore my library and import back each of my songs individually, which was successful. I also needed to install the new iTunes 7.7
However, when I launched iTunes only about a minute later, a message popped up saying that "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly." And now, NONE of my songs or videos will play.
PLEASE HELP! I've spent the past 2 days trying to fix a lot of things, and all of them seemed solved until this problem. I'm leaving in 7 HOURS! So please, help is appreciated.

i googled, read the DNS & BIND book (very useful), but still haven't solved my problem and this is killing me as i have spent days and the darn thing simply refuses to work!!! i am desperate and need your help.
i am trying to set up a DNS server on my dual NIC x86 Solaris 10.
1. i am getting confused with naming interfaces. i seem cannot have two network ifaces named like m1.example.com. each one must have its own unique name, right? [pls advise here]
so i name them m1.example.com and m2.example.com respectively. m1 is for router and m2 is for switch (LAN).
m1.example.com - 10.0.0.2
m2.example.com - 192.168.16.1
2. secondly I cannot get the SOA record. what interface should be used as SOA?? i tried m1 as it is "primary" (iprb0) and connects to the internet. however, it didn't work.
i even tried m3.example.com trying to combine two interfaces as below (still won't work):

I am a student and I have to complete a project within a week. Problem is, I never used Berkeley DB. What I am supposed to do is this...
Basically, in the Berkeley DB, I need to implement a replication scheme for distributed real-time databases.
The replication scheme simply allows a database which needs temporal data from another database to create a local replica of the data needed from the other database, and to receive the data in constant updates for a specified period of time. This scheme is beneficial because it eliminates the transmission delays from asking for the data every time it needs it from the remote datavabase. The recipient database will not need to keep sending a request for the data, it will automatically be sent to the replica in specified time increments, and for a specified period of time depending on what the transaction specifies.
The DB must support transactions. This is ideally meant for real time databases too.
Could you please tell me who could help me implement this? I really need help with this as soon as possible. I don't know where to get started regarding installing the correct DB, starting it up, and putting in sample data. I need a accurate step by step instruction for which DB to install, how to install it, and how to install sample data and how to access the data, and then how to proceed to modify it so that it can support the replication I mentioned above. Everything. I am new to this. ANyone's help would be the best. Thank you.

At this point, after having installed Berkeley DB 4.5.20, are there some preliminary steps that you can outline for me in terms of setting up a sample database and getting started? Is there a step-by-step somewhere on the site? After I do that, and then study the link you sent, it is my intent to dive into the code and make the adjustments/additions I need to model the algorithm I need to accomplish.
Disregard my time constraint which I mentioned earlier. I simply need to get everything running as a workable DB with data at this point, and then I can dive into the replication material. Let me know, and thanks for your help.

I've tried a few different forums on the net and so far there has been no reponse to my problem below. My coursework is due in tomorrow and I'm at my wits end.
I am really new to Flash and am having a problem with my application. I have created a button that I want to use to activate some pre-recorded film. I know I need to use some code to do this, however I can't seem to get it right.
I have deleted the film from the library as I thought it may be a problem in how I imported the .flv files, so I will need to reimport these (with some advice on how to do it right).
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Bridge cs2 batch problem - please help!!! desperate!!

I have a macos 10.4.11 G5 Mac and I'm running Creative Suite CS2 - I used to always be able to select images in bridge go to - Tools - Photoshop - Contact Sheet II - and the window would come up fine - the last couple of days when I try to do that it gives me the error message of "General Photoshop Error" - I really need for it to work for the project I'm doing - just limping along now.

yes, photoshop is open and I even closed it and tried it that way and still the same thing; it worked fine a couple of days ago - if I'm in photoshop I can do a contact sheet ii and select the open files and it works just fine - it is just so much convenient to do it in bridge where you can select the files you want (in case i have files open in Photoshop I don't want to batch). I hope this makes sense.
P.S. Photoshop seems to be getting really pokey - I even made a new preference file (but to no avail)

Hi, I don't have option to switch in between flash modes (on, off, auto) or switch to front camera. I can only switch in between slo mo, video, camera etc however no other option available. I'm stuck on flash on and back camera. No option to switch them not there. just blank screen. I'm so furious. Can't find anything in settings or online. Is it my phone or am I doing something wrong. Try some basic troubleshooting.
Kill the Camera app. While on the Home screen double-press the HOME button, then scroll to the right if necessary to find the Camera app. When you find it flick the screen image up with your finger.
Reset the phone after completing step 1. by holding HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears.
If the camera now works, you are done. If it does not go to Settings/General/Reset - Reset all settings. Then check it again.
Go to Settings/General/Restrictions. If you do not have to enter a passcode don't do anything further with it. If you do then enter the passcode and see if there is a restriction on changing settings.
Still no joy? Connect the phone to iTunes and Restore it.

Bookmarks are missing from both my list and bookmark tab and I don't know if this was caused by plugin or due to lack of space in my internal HD. Please help?

Dear Community, I promise I'll try to be as concise as possible. I'm really desperate for help! I've read absolutely everything about missing bookmarks, but as you will see my problem is also about cursors and Google showing differently on screen.
It all started this day I was running short on storage space in my internat HD. Suddenly my computer showed that I had 0 KB available, and I just deleted some big mov files and restarted the computer. After the reboot, I opened FF and noticed that my bookmarks were missing and so was my reading list - my reading list is stored with the help of ReadItLater plugin (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/read-it-later/). I tried to google solutions for my problem and realized that something was weird with the way results were displayed.
So, I made some screenshots because it's really hard to explain what's going on by writing, so please take a look:

3. Now take a look on how Google is displaying results on FF! The text appears in Black/Green when it's really supposed to be displayed in Blue/Green/Black! Any help will be much appreciated. I've already tried to reinstall FF again, and I've also deleted it and reinstalled FF but I never deleted profile/personal info that is in the Library Folder. Also, have tried to back up and replace the profile folder but my computer didn't allow me. I got a message saying it was not possible to copy the places.sqlite-wal file. I have done a search about it and I can say I never had a profile duplicate. Please help? I'm desperate and I can't lose my reading list or my bookmarks!

Could not use history brush because the history state lacks a corresponding channel Please HELP CS6

Everytime I try to use my history brush, that error pops up and I have no clue why. If I try to just open a blank document and use the brush it does not give me this error and I can "use" the brush but you cant see anything on the project. Anyways, so when this error happens im trying to do a project and say I place a file(picture) into the project and this is the very first thing I do. I place it, then I size the image down some. I then make a new layer to use the brush for behind the picture and then this is when I get the error. I have no clue what is wrong can someone please help me I'm desperate:(.

The way you've described it, one gets the distinct impression you do not have a clue as to what the history brush does and how to use it.
You need to read up on it. Read the Help files and google for tutorials.
First you need to create an image (with actual pixels in it), edit it as desired, then make a snapshot of the edited image, then target the snapshot with the history brush tool, then go back in the History panel to the step before your edits and selectively paint your edits in with the History Brush.

Canon all-in-one printer can't print? Please, help

I recently bought a Canon Pixma MG3550 all-in-one printer. I didn't get a USB cable in the package so i decided to connect it wirelessly. I tried everything but it just couldn't connect. So, I went to the store and bought a USB cable for printer. I connected my printer with this USB cable and installed drivers from the CD that came with printer. Everything went fine but when it came to the part where I can print test page I clicked 'Execute' and nothing happened. I gave up that and clicked next. When I tried to print a picture it says: 'Windows photo viewer encountered a problem printing your picture. Trying reinstalling your printer, and then try again.' When I tried printing a PDF document nothing happened.
So, my computer (Windows 7, 32 bit) recognizes this printer in Devices and Printers and it's set to deafult printer, but when i click 'Printing Preferences' it says 'Operation could not be completed' and when I click printer properites, it says: 'The Canon MG3500 series printer driver is not installed on this computer. Some printer properites will not be accessible unless you install the printer driver. Do you want to install the driver now?'. If I click Yes, the Add printer driver wizard shows up, but when i go through it and finish it it's still the same. Also, if I click 'Print test page', it says: 'Test page failed to print. Would you like to view the print troubleshooter for assistance? Access is denied.'
Then, if I go to troubleshooter it says that everything is fine. When I go to Canon Quick Menu and click 'Start my printer' it says 'the supported printer cannot be detected' but when I go to 'Diagnose and Repair Printer' it says that everything is okay.
I don't know what to do. I tried reinstalling driver thousands of times, I downloaded drivers from this site and everything, but it's all the same. Also, every time I turn on my printer on button I hear some weird noises two times about 5-10 seconds altogether. I don't know if this is related somehow, but I don't think that my device is broken because it can connect to pc and scanning works perfectly, but printing and copying doesn't.
Please help me, I'm desperate. I'm trying so hard but everything is the same and I'm so tired of this.

NOKia n95 software update - Please HELP

I bought my cellphone like 4 weeks ago, I tried to use software update, with every possibility, new computer clean operating system, latest versions of both pc suite and software update, different computer so on. Everytime when I try to update it, I download the 113 mb of software update, the program makes my cellphone restart, and my cellphone freezes with the Nokia logo and only way to turn on my cellphone is to take the battery off and reconnect it. I do not know whether to send it to the technical service or send it back to the retailer i bought in US. Please help me, i am desperate...

U must know (and u have agree) when using nokia software, nokia will not responsibility if your phone damage.. Anyway, u still can send to nokia service centre in your area if u want..

i not going to nokia service centre but at supermarket in my town, maybe they are is not nokia centre but they can solve ur problem, low cost from nokia service centre..and they will upgrade to the latest version firmware that not have in nokia software updater..
that is my suggestion, but its like damage ur phone when u are not go to nokia service,
if u are carefully person its better nokia service,
but you can compare price originally centre and underground service..
