Please help me! Illustrator CS3 can't maintain correct size when saving to PDF!
Hi - please help me!
We run a Mac with CS3 Suite to design our signs for print & vinyl cut.
Most of our files are 50 - 120 cms wide & high, some larger.
If I create a document in Illustrator for exapmle of 100 cms x 100cms, put some artwork (vector) inside, and save it as a high res PDF, then close the file and open the PDF in illustrator, you can gaurentee that the dimensions will have changed by a fraction of a mm. If working with bigger artwork it can be out but up to half a mil. Typically a file could become say 58.687cm instead of 59cm.
Anyone know why the heck this does that??
It's the artwork & the artboard.

All of AI's math is based on points and inches and depending on DPI settings, there may be rounding errors with otehr unit systems. Perfectly normal. Has been forever that way. you may try to place an empty dummy frame around the entire artwork to enforce a specific artboard/ crop board size. Sometimes helps, but not always...

H.MThe iPad 1 can't run the newer operating systems. It'd be like trying to play a bluray disc in your 6 year old dvd player....it simply lacks the hardware to make the software run.
No suggestion about the camera, but given that Apple's attitude seems to be to focus more on the more mobile devices for photography (the iPhone and Touch cameras got features, the iPad and mini didn't), that is highly unlikely. You can tell Apple what you want, but you'd probably be money ahead to get a digital camera.
as to the photos, anything put on via iTunes has to come off via iTunes.Your main alternative would be to look for photo apps that offer file exchange that may give you more functionality. -

There is nothing that anyone here on a user forum can do to help you. If it is a local issue in Syria, then you need to take it up with your phone company or authorities there who have prevented you from using VPN.

Video is synced from the computer to the iPhone via iTunes. You need to load the video into iTunes, make sure it is iPhone compatible before you do that, and once it is in iTunes, then sync to the iPhone.
Never said what computer OS you were using. Also, the computer processor, amount of RAM can make a difference with HD video. -

Hello, please help, my interface is connected to the microphone and when i open Logic 9 it does´t work. But I opened garageband to check and it works fine. I can record voice with any effect... With Logic i see the sound passes in the interface but does not arrive in Logic. The Loops works fine and i can hear. Is just the sound to record the voice it does not work. What can i do ??? I used Logic before in the same computer and it worked fine. Thank you so much, I´m a begginer recording myself.
Make sure you go into preferences in Logic and set the audio input to be your interface and the audio output to be either built in output or the interface, if that is hooked up to something else. It sounds like Garageband has the audio interface set as the input but not Logic.
Also make sure you close all other applications except Logic to ensure it is not running in slave mode... -

How can I maintain multiple white spaces in a PDF written from InDesign?
I need to have 2 white spaces maintained (within a part #) in the PDF I write, but when I open in Acrobat it converts it to one space.
I've tried word spaces, set spaces and applying "no color" to a placeholder character and nothing is working!
Any ideas or suggestions?I am talking about normal white space. Multiple fixed widt spaces are not a problem. How the space is handled in a PDF depends on how it is created.

It may not be a great idea to use multiple spaces, but it certainly is not prohibited and sometimes is necessary -- you might want a 2em space, or a thin space before and after a tab you underline in a form.
I'm able to select the multiple spaces just fine in Acrobat 9 using the text touch-up tool.
